Tamale Area Concludes Its First-Half Meetings

The Tamale Area has successfully concluded its first-half meetings. During the Presbytery Session, the Area Head, Apostle John Budu Kobina Tawiah, admonished church leaders across the Area to see themselves as coworkers with God and with one another in the work of ministry.

He urged leaders to develop a sense of ownership for the Church, emphasizing that every leader has a vital role to play in advancing God’s kingdom. He reminded them that good leaders are also good followers—they willingly support their leaders, using their gifts, talents, and resources to help the Church flourish.

“Your leader is not your enemy,” he stressed. “He is building the same Church alongside you. He is your coworker, and together you are coworkers with God.”

Apostle Tawiah further encouraged leaders to own the Church, defend the Church, and cultivate a spirit of unity. He called on them to share ideas, work collaboratively, and contribute wholeheartedly to the growth and strengthening of God’s Church.

“The Church is the house of God,” he concluded. “We all have different roles to play. Identify your role and allow God to use you to build His Church.”

In a world filled with uncertainty, shifting values, and human disappointments, the Lord calls us to anchor our hearts in Him. The prophet Jeremiah reminds us that the human heart is deceitful above all things, but those who trust in the Lord find stability, hope, and life.

Trust is not just a word—it is a posture of faith, a decision to lean on God’s unfailing promises rather than the fragile assurances of men. As we reflect on Jeremiah 17:1–10, we are reminded that true blessing flows not from human strength or wisdom, but from confidence in the Lord who never fails.

Tonight’s theme, Trust in the Lord, is both a call and a challenge: to shift our dependence from man to God, from fear to faith, and from despair to hope. As we journey through the Word, may our hearts be stirred to renew our trust in Him who is our refuge, our deliverer, and our eternal source of peace.

Even when all hope seems lost, God remains the genuine source of hope.

Difficulties today do not cancel tomorrow’s hope. Overthinking never solves problems.

Deliverance
Trust means believing God is able to deliver.

The District Week 1 of the PIWC TAMALE came to an end on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at the auditorium. As part of activities today, the Area Head of the Church of Pentecost -Tamale Area, Apostle John Budu K. Tawiah spoke to the theme.

The week was under the theme: "Unleashed By the Hand of God for Possibilities." The Area Head told the gathering that the hand of God is a metaphorical use in Scripture to indicate the active power of God, His presence, His divine power or control and His judgement. He also mentioned that the hand of God also indicates His miraculous signs or wonders and the empowerment God endues believers with for effect (Acts 11:21-24).

In terms of use, the hand of God could be used to exercise judgement as was in the case of God against the Egyptians on Exodus 9:3, the case of God versus the disobedient Israelites (Deuteronomy 2:13-15), God against Elymas (Acts 13:11) and Israelites against Ashdod and Dagon. Falling into the hands of God (Hebrews 10:31) could be as a result of not being repentant and a lack of humility before the Lord.

On the other hand, the hand of God could mean His blessings, favour or goodwill as was the case of the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ -Like 1:56 and the days of the Children of Israel in Joshua 4:24. This brings mere men to the place of God's extraordinary blessings due to obedience to His Word .

The blessings of the Lord don't come in isolation but are tied to the works we do. We therefore need to be positioned for the hand of God to empower us for His very best as His children.
