BATON CONFERENCE
The Baton Conference is a Holy Spirit-led interdenominational ministry initiative by Bishop Dr. Daniel Bright Karikari, aimed at bridging the leadership gap between contemporary church leaders and successive generation of future leaders. Now is the time for contemporary church leaders to brace up to their responsibility of creating a high quality leadership resource base to meet t
he demands of future church generations. This will minimize the encroachment into the leadership space of the church, self-styled charlatans and opportunists whose activities spread clouds of ominous blackness over the integrity of the future church. The conference is designed to facilitate a smooth handing over of sound biblical teachings of Christian Leadership values, virtues, principles, practices, skills, wisdom. discipline and intergrity from the current crop of leaders to successive leadership generations of the church. It is packaged as an annual event and will cut across all denominational barriers. THE VISION (Judges 2:10; 2Timothy 2:2)
1. Create an inter-denominational forum for a consistent, well-packaged, inspirational and relevant training of leaders and potential church leaders to be well-groomed and fully-pruned to meet the demands and challenge of church leadership; now and in the future.
2. Afford up and coming church leaders the opportunity to harness their inherent leadership potentials through the acquisition of practical, well-structured and relevant information that will prepare them for the task ahead
3. Enhance the ministry coordination and cooperation between the pastorate and supportive church ministers to improve compatibility.
4. To address the possibility of bridging the generational gap in church leadership transitions and to ensure that a legacy of quality church leadership is bequeathed to the next generation of church leaders.
5. Impart desirous young and zealous church leaders to acquire the rudimentary principles of effective church leaders to impact the church positively.
6. Develop a training of trainers program that will equip participants to also train others in their local assemblies. TAGET GROUP:
It is designed for the training of Pastors, Bible School Students, Church Workers, Supportive Church Leaders and Youth in Ministry and anyone who desires to lead.
