REPORT ON THE ATLANTIC VIEW GHANA CONFERENCE WAD BIBLE EXPERIENCE COMPETITION
The Atlantic View Ghana Conference (AVGC) successfully organized the Conference-level West-Central Africa Division (WAD) Bible Experience Competition at Takoradi Newlife Seventh-day Adventist Church. The event brought together contestants and officials from the various sectors of the Conference in a spirit of Christian fellowship, biblical learning, and healthy competition.
The programme was chaired by the Conference President, Pastor Daniel Armstrong Kuma, with support from the Executive Secretary, Pastor Joshua Kaku. They were assisted by four other pastors and leaders: Pastor Jehoshaphat Oduro (Personal Ministries and Sabbath School Ministries Director), Miss Fiona Broni, Pastor Lt. Daves Opoku, and Pastor Sub. Lt. Duku, who all played significant roles in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the event.
The competition was organized on a sector basis, involving the Nzema Sector, Takoradi Sector, and Sekondi Sector.
The participation of the sectors was as follows:
- Nzema Sector successfully presented contestants in all categories except the Senior Youth division.
- Takoradi Sector presented contestants in all categories, from Adventurers through Senior Youth.
- Sekondi Sector was unable to present contestants in most categories, except for two participants who represented the sector in the Senior Youth category.
After a keenly contested competition, the results were as follows:
- Nzema Sector emerged first in the Adventurer category.
- Takoradi Sector emerged first in both the Pathfinder and Master Guide categories.
- The Senior Youth presentations were not officially judged; therefore, no winner was declared in that category.
The Conference-level WAD Bible Experience Competition was well organized, orderly, and inspiring. It demonstrated the commitment of the Atlantic View Ghana Conference to promoting biblical knowledge among Adventurers, Pathfinders, Master Guides, and Senior Youth. The programme concluded on a joyful note with songs of praise, expressions of gratitude to God, and appreciation to all participants, organizers, judges, coaches, and church members whose contributions made the event a success.
May the Lord continue to bless the WAD Bible Experience initiative as it inspires more young people to study, understand, and faithfully live by His Word.
