|| YOUNGEST PRESBYTERY LAY REP TO THE GAC ELECTED AT THE 60TH SESSION ||
To the glory of the Triune God, the Brong Ahafo Presbytery is pleased to announce to members and the general public the successful election of Dr. Daniel Antwi as the next Presbytery Lay Representative to the General Assembly Council of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. Dr. Antwi comes to this role as the youngest Lay Rep the Brong Ahafo Presbytery has ever produced.
He was elected on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the ongoing commemorative 60th Session, being held at the Peniel Retreat Centre Ayakomaso. After pulling the highest votes during the nomination stage with 46 votes, he won massively in the second round of the election with 100 votes, representing 76.3% of the total valid votes cast.
Dr. Daniel K**i Antwi was born in Berekum in the Bono Region of Ghana. He began his early education at Freeman Methodist Preparatory School in Berekum, where he completed both his primary and Junior High School education. He later proceeded to Prempeh College for his Senior High School education before gaining admission to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, where he obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.
Driven by a passion for professional excellence and academic advancement, Dr. Antwi furthered his studies at the University of Cincinnati, earning a Master’s degree in Pharmacology. He subsequently returned to KNUST to pursue and obtain his Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
Beyond his academic and professional accomplishments, Dr. Daniel K**i Antwi has distinguished himself through dedicated service to the Church and Christian youth ministry. At the age of 27, he became the youngest Presbyter at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Calvary Congregation, Columbus, Ohio, in the North America / Australia Presbytery.
He also served diligently as the former Youth Superintendent and later Youth Coordinator of the North America / Australia Presbytery. Currently, he serves as the Presbytery President of the Young Adult Fellowship of the Brong Ahafo of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
Professionally, Dr. Antwi is a Senior Pharmacist at Yamfo Polyclinic, where he continues to contribute significantly to healthcare delivery. On the home front, he is a devoted family man, happily married and celebrating 13 years of marriage this year. Together with his wife, they are blessed with three daughters.
