🤔If God refuses to give you a job, would you still serve Him?
I know we've all been taught that the Just shall live by faith and that it's impossible to please God without faith, but what many of us didn't learn is that sometimes, living by faith and pleasing God requires patience and endurance. And if that's the case, mockery and disappointments might be inevitable.
Moses' experience has taught us that there are cases where God would rather apply a longer approach to solving a problem. Pharaoh could have easily released the people of Israel at Moses' first appearance, but we were told that God hardened his heart because God had a will that needed to be completed before their release.
What if it is God that has hardened the heart of your helpers so that you won't get your house rent paid by just quoting Phillipians 4:19? This isn't different from what happened to Moses.
If your landlord eventually evicts you from the house, would you still have faith in God? Many Christians cannot endure mockery or a little suffering, and that's why they go out of God's will in solving their problem. What they didn't know is that the moment they stabbed God's will, they altered God's plan for them. Imagine if Moses got angry and refused to go back to Pharaoh when God told him that He was the one that hardened Pharaoh's heart. Many of us read these things but we don't understand the implication. This isn't different from saying, "Your faith will work but it just won't work now. So you might have to endure any form of mockery and shame that comes in the process".
Hebrews chapter 11 lists some heroes of faith and the things they had to endure to prove their faith in God. Let's read a few of them:
Hebrews 11:
7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
8 By faith Abraham, when he was called
