ST. PETER’S PARISH, SHAMA JUNCTION BID FAREWELL TO THEIR PARISH PRIEST, REV. FR. ISAAC MENSAH.

After Nine years of pastoral care for the Christ’s faithfuls of St. Peter’s Parish in Shama Junction, Rev Fr. Isaac Mensah sealed his journey with a send-off thanksgiving mass in a very gleeful setting to thank God and the parishioners over the years.

The event was preceded by a Guard of Honour Parade by the Knights of St. John International, St. Peters commandery #984 and Our Lady Cause of our Joy Ladies’ Auxiliary #893.

Rev. Fr. Sqr. Ld. Samuel Pius Aseleku who delivered the homily, admonished the parishioners to be mindful of the Kingdom of God in all their endeavours, because it is the very reason every priest is sent forth to a community or parish, while calling on Fr. Mensah never to relent on his call to priesthood especially in the proclamation of the Goodnews.

There were presentation of citations, gifts and goodwill messages from the parishioners, well-wishers, friends and the family. The Event was chaired by Engineer Francis Kenneth Keelson.

In attendance were Very Rev. Fr. Michael Asiedu Herzuah, Very Rev. Fr. John Baptist Ephraim, Very Rev. Fr. Michael Blay Morkeh Very Rev. Fr. Paul Eliud Essibu, Rev. Fr. Andrew Adu Kwaw, Rev. Fr. Edward Cudjoe, Rev. Fr. Sylvester Anazo Quarm, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Kwofie,

In an atmosphere of praise, Good Counsel Choir of St. Peters Catholic Church Shama Junction, marked the climax of their 30th Anniversary celebration with new choir robe on Sunday 20th July 2025.

St. Peter's Catholic Church Shama Junction celebrates Mothers in a special Eucharist celebration.

The celebration which coincided with the Female Harvest was spearheaded by some selected women as mass servers as well as lectors.

In appreciation for their love and sacrifices, the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Isaac Mensah presented gifts to all women in the church while special packages were presented to women who are 60years and above.

The occasion was also used by the Knights of St. John International commandery # 984 Shama Junction to express gratitide to God for the initiation of six(6) new brothers into the order.
