If you want to get God’s attention, don’t pray weak prayers. God responds to bold prayers. When you pray boldly, you’re saying, “God, I know who You are. I recognize You’re all powerful, nothing can stand against You. What You have purposed will come to pass.” People can’t stop Him, bad breaks can’t stop Him, sickness can’t stop Him, how you were raised can’t stop Him, the wind and waves can’t stop Him. You’re praying to a God that is in complete control, not just of your life, but He’s in control of your surroundings.
While you could be upset about the door that closed, the person that did you wrong, the trouble in your family, it’s a setup. God wouldn’t have allowed it if it wasn’t taking you to a new level of your destiny. That storm feels like it’s taking you to a barren place, a dry place, a lonely place. But God controls the winds. You can’t see it right now, but the storm is taking you to an abundant place, a place of healing, a place of miracles, a place of increase, a place of favor.

Dismiss the doubt. Refuse those negative seeds. You’re at a defining moment. You’re on the verge of stepping up to a new level, the verge of seeing God do something you’ve never seen. Are you going to shrink back, let people’s opinions talk you out of it, let the doubt, the fear take root? Or are you going to dismiss it and move forward in faith into the awesome future God has in store?
Before you accomplish the dream, there will be seeds of doubt, discouragement, can’t do it, not good enough, never going to happen. Don’t believe those lies. Turn it around and declare what God says about you. When thoughts tell you that you’ve seen your best days, nothing good is in your future. Say, “Father, You said my latter days will be better than my former days. Surely goodness and mercy are chasing me down.”
