As part of the National Youth Week activities, the Youth Ministry of Odorkor Central Assembly, this morning embarked on a Schools Outreach program at Amazing Great Academy, located at Awoshie in Accra. The purpose of the visit was to share fellowship with the students and impact them with the Word of God.
Upon arrival, the team was warmly received by the teachers and given the opportunity to minister to the students. The outreach was made possible through the efforts of Elder Kwaku Odame, Deacon Joel Khobby Erskine , and Sister Salomey Kwakye, who is also a teacher at the school.
During the session, Elder Kwaku Odame admonished the students not to love the things of the world but rather to love God wholeheartedly. Using relatable classroom examples, he explained the pride of life, lust of the flesh, and lust of the eyes, referencing 1 John 2:15โ16. He concluded by urging the students to rededicate their lives to Christ and to resist all forms of temptation or sinful influence from peers and older individuals.
