I have heard some people criticize bitterly the church and spiritual matters. This is where they are so wrong.
Society is dynamic.
Remember the whites you so much want to compare "us" to, have in their history been through what we are going through right now. They hunted and burnt witches at the stakes. They built large cathedrals, The era of the Pax Romana saw these crusades to the holy land.
You talk of factories. Do you know what happened during the Renaissance periods? Well incase you didn't know, all these inventors if you should do a critical study on them, they would tell you that they had their ideas through dreams. What do you think dreams of these nature are? A figment of ones imaginations? Certainly not.
As a people, we are also growing through the periods and until we must fulfill every bit of civilization, we shall hurriedly grind to a halt thereby reaching at nothing and achieving nothing.
Its a process. Let us go through it guided by past historical antecedents rather than unconstructive criticisms that would never suffice but only drill holes in the smooth sailing masts of society.
Whatever the human society has become globally is as a result of a constant moves at walking side by side the spiritual with the physical. Check the Oriental worlds. What do you see? Are they less developed? Are they less spiritual? Look at the current prime minister of England, is he less spiritual? You can think or say whatever about the church, but its a formidable agent of positive transformation in the African society.
The myopic calls a Crab's eye; the "stick".
Dont forget that who you have become now is as a result of a mother's prayer and prayer is very spiritual.
