It was Lord's Supper Day at Akyeakrom (farthest assembly).

Sermon excerpts based on the Theme: "Mephibosheth; Our story of Salvation." 2 Samuel 9; 4:4 & Ephesians 2:1-6

The district minister highlighted that;
1. Although Mephibosheth was a royal he loss it due to his grandfather Saul's disobedience. Similarly, all humans loss our sonship and disposition due to the disobedience of Adam and Eve.
2. Mephibosheth was then taken to Lodebar (place of no pasture nor word). Man was also driven away from Eden (God's presence). We deviated unto our own path.
3. The king, David, had mercy on Mephibosheth for *Jonathan's sake.* We also receive pardon, forgiveness and mercy for *Jesus' sake*
4. Mephibosheth dined with the Lord. A position reserved for sons and dignitaries. We also became sons when we believed on the name of the Lord John 1:12. Hence through Christ we have unlimited access to the King (God) to commune and fellowship with Him just as Mephibosheth dined with David daily.
5. We are obliged to be totally obedient to God, appreciate His redemptive power and finally inform others about how great God's mercy was showered on us and his willingness to accept any other sinner as a son.
God bless you. Accept Jesus as Lord and saviour today and he will transfer you from Lodebar to the Kings honourable table.

Accept Jesus now so that day won't be gloomy for you.
