During the Commemoration of the Feast Corpus Christi, each visible symbol points to the mystery of the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist:

1. Monstrance and Host: The monstrance shows forth the consecrated Host, making visible the belief that Jesus is truly present; Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity in the Eucharist

2. Lighted candles: The candles around the monstrance signify that Christ is the “Light of the world,” and they also express honor and joyful worship as the people accompany Him along the streets.
