Wrong God, Wrong Service, Faulty Pursuits (II)

Why should we serve God?

Pastor Ansere taught four reasons:

1. God is self-existent. He needs nothing from us, so our service is not a favour to Him. We cannot manipulate God with offerings, rituals, or sacrifices. We exist to serve His will, trusting His wisdom, methods, and timing.
2. God is holy (Kadosh). He is in a class all by Himself. His holiness calls us to live holy lives, serving Him with reverence rather than familiarity.
3. God is faithful and true. He is a covenant-keeping God who never forgets the sacrifices made for Him. Pastor Ansere taught that whatever God begins with you, if you remain faithful, He will continue through generations after you. Our service is ultimately a response to His loyal love toward us.
4. God is One yet Many. His perfect nature gives us every reason to surrender our lives in wholehearted service to Him.

Man stands at a constant crossroads: not between many directions, but two spiritual systems that shape destiny.

One is the way of life—the Tree of Life—where man submits to the Word of God. It is not instinctive. It is deliberate. It is a conscious pulling away from feelings, opinions, and human reasoning to obey divine instruction.

The other is the way of death—the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil—where man is governed by what seems right in his own eyes. It is built on instinct, human counsel, emotional impulse, and shifting opinions. It feels natural, but it is unstable and deceptive.

To walk with God is to deny instinct and yield to instruction. To walk the other path is to trust yourself and the voices around you above the Word.

Every man is shaped by the path he chooses. And every path produces a life.

You don’t rise above the God you truly know.

When the knowledge of God is distorted, everything built on it becomes misaligned—service, choices, direction, and ultimately life itself.

God is not served from assumption.
He is served from revelation.

And revelation always sets the boundaries of acceptable worship:
His holiness defines purity.
His truth defines integrity.
His nature defines the standard.

This is why eternal life is not performance—it is knowing.

Because when you truly know God, service stops being struggle and becomes alignment.

And when you don’t, even sincere effort leads to misplaced pursuits.

So the real issue is not effort.
It is knowledge.

And tomorrow continues the unveiling.

WHO GOD IS determines EVERYTHING.

The quality of your service is shaped by the quality of your knowledge of God.

When our understanding of God is distorted, our worship becomes misplaced, our service becomes faulty, and our life’s pursuits become vain. But when we truly know Him, His nature becomes the pattern for how we live, serve, and relate to Him.

The greatest tragedy is not merely failing to serve God—it is serving the wrong idea of God.

Who is the God you know?
Because your answer to that question will determine the direction of your life.
