This line of argument destroys the unbeliever's philosophy. If whether or not God exists is predicated upon how many other gods people believe in, then the same can be said about truth.

Think about it. For every true belief, how many false beliefs do people have? By this atheist's logic, all of the true beliefs are invalidated by false beliefs. If this is the case, then his line of argument implodes because the logical conclusion of his objection is that we cannot know any truth at all, including his own claim.

TWO COSMOLOGICAL ARGUMENTS

THE KALAM COSMOLOGICAL ARGUMENT and BEYOND

1. And "whatever begins" to exist, has a cause.
(The law of causality supports this).

2. The universe began to exist.
(Science and math support this).

3. Therefore, the universe has a cause.

4. The universe is space, time, and matter.

5. Therefore, the cause cannot be made of space, time, and matter.

6. Energy alone cannot bring matter into existence. All it does is fuel other existing matter.

7. Therefore, the cause must be spaceless, timeless, and immaterial.

8. Therefore, the best explanation for the existence of the universe is a maximally great God.
