REDEEMING THE TIMES~ REV KINGSLEY ANABA.
In the history of mankind, no one has been able to stop the movement of time, and none can ever do that. As believers, we're expected to redeem the times, ensuring the best of outcomes. There are days of opportunity and harvest, and days we're to do the best for God, but those days do not last forever, a reason why we must do the best of those days.
*What are the things God wants you to do today and now?*
1. It is time to renew our efforts in the preaching of the gospel: The time is coming that you will not have the opportunity to preach the gospel, so it's best we do it now. We're called to propagate or preach the gospel. The signs are showing that we're approaching the end. Go into the world and preach the gospel; leave the rest to God. It's about time we rise to be soul winners.
2. Word mission should be our objective: Message with love; they will come when you show love, not just push. We're called to preach Christ, not to sell things to the 'flocks'. Miracles and signs will past; we're not going to live forever. If you can't reach out, your money can support the course. If we're serious with God, he will be serious with us.
3. Greater Impact: As believers, we must partner for the kingdom impact irrespective of our varying denominations. You need to partner with someone to fulfil destiny. We must be ready to put our differences aside. We must be willing to put our resources together to enable us to do more. Don't ever say you don't need anyone, for without people, one can't be called a pastor. Joseph connected with Pharaoh to fulfil destiny. When you see Silas, there was a Paul. As a Pastor, the will of my spiritual father (Dr Robert Ampiah Kwofie) is my will also and I will never compromise that for anything; ready to carry out his mandate at a click.
4. Time to train and release the next generation of leaders: โA leader without a follower is just walkingโ~John Maxwell.
Nobody can do something forever. Success without a successor is key for destruction, for the greatest investment is to invest in people. Things are to be used, but people are to be loved. The one you help today can become your saviour tomorrow. Intentionally and deliberately, we have to raise people for the kingdom. If you live without impacting people, you didn't live.
You must direct and correct followers. Don't feel insecured, give people the opportunity for impact. In a time to come, people will take over from the regular names we hear often.
5. Time to strengthen our biblical Foundation: Child of God, it's about time for you to go for knowledge. A time is coming where deception will be too much and you will need knowledge. Wake up, brethren. Zeal without knowledge is like a sword in the hands of a lunatic. Build people's faith on God and in the foundation of the Bible.
6. It is time to prepare our people for difficult times: Times are difficult, and you will need to be strengthened. There are persecutions ahead; it is biblical. We must teach our Church members to withstand in times of difficulties. Christianity is not the absence of suffering, but an addition to overcome with grace. 1 Corinthians 16:13 reads, โWatch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.โ Receive grace, beloved. Don't give up. A soldier was hit by bullet, the leg got wounded, bleeding in the process but kept fighting to attain victory. Reflect on this, beloved.
7. It is time to recommit ourselves and reconnect with the Holy Spirit in a fresh way: The proof of 'sonship' and 'daughtership' is obedience. Satan relies on insensitivity, immorality, immaturity, and indiscipline. Avoid these, child of God.
8. We need a revival: It is time for revival, brethren. Wake up, child of God; what will destroy you in the day will come at night. You require a revival in the word, your prayer life, and all commitments.
9. Time to walk in the fear of God: Walking in the fear of God does not literally mean you're being afraid, but considering him in your actions. The fear of God has left the church, and it's about time we preach against evil. Check whether you fear God. Let us live for God, brethren; the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Integrity is key, child of God.
10. It is time to encourage each other: In conclusion, we must endeavour to support and encourage each other in times of adversity. Let's hold each other's hands in love, looking for the common good of all.
