*DAY 04*

*GOD’S PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE*

Jeremiah 29:11 — “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

Have you ever found yourself wondering if there is a divine plan for your life? Why am I here? What is my purpose on earth? What are God’s plans for my life? These are questions many Christians ask themselves from time to time. Just as an architect plans the design and scope of a building before constructing it, God, in His infinite wisdom, planned out the design of your life on earth before creating you. God never does anything accidentally, and He never makes mistakes. He has a reason for everything He creates. Every plant and every animal were planned by God, and every person was designed with a purpose in mind. Long before you were conceived by your parents, you were conceived in the mind of God.

God has good plans for your life. You may have no idea what is going on in your life right now, but God is orchestrating everything according to His own plans for your life. He first made His plan for your life before forming you in your mother’s womb. God never created you before thinking about what He would do with your life. He first fashioned and furnished what you are to do on this earth before creating you. He planned out and ordained the parents through whom you would come. Your very DNA, and everything about you—talents, skills, abilities, weaknesses, and disabilities—all have a part to play in His design and plan for your life. God prescribed every single detail of your body. He deliberately designed your uniqueness.

He also designed and planned out the country of your birth, your ethnicity, and your tribe. The schools you are to attend, the career you are to pursue—He also ordained the date and time in which His divine assignment for your life will begin.

*“THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN LIFE IS TO DISCOVER GOD’S PLAN AND ASSIGNMENT FOR LIFE.”*

This is obvious, but it is sadly true that most people fail to discover God’s plan and assignment for their lives, and in consequence their whole lives are filled with disappointment and defeat, frustration and failure.

Every unconverted person is living a self-planned life, as Saul was living until the time of his conversion (Acts 9:5). But it is also sadly true that most people make decisions and choices which afterward prove to be so wrong. Discovering God’s plan and assignment for your life gives you satisfaction.

*POINTS TO CONSIDER*

· *We enter God’s plan when we accept and acknowledge Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.*
Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about His Son. — 1 John 5:10

· *After salvation, God’s plan for your life is revealed bit by bit as you continue in daily fellowship with Him.*
Psalm 37:23 — The steps of the godly are directed by the LORD. He delights in every detail of their lives.

· *His plan for your life is revealed through His written Word* .
Psalm 119:18 — Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law.

· *His plan for your life is mostly revealed through His Spirit* .
1 Corinthians 2:9–10 — This is what the Scriptures mean when it says, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.” But we know these things because God has revealed them to us by His Spirit, and His Spirit searches out everything and shows us even God’s deep secrets. (NLT)

*PRAYER*
Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You that You have plans for me—exceedingly, abundantly above what I can even imagine—plans for good that will give me a future and a hope. I praise You and thank You that this is Your will for me!

*DAY 03*

*GOD’S THOUGHTS FOR YOUR LIFE*

Psalm 139:16 (MSG) — “Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, the days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.”

Have you ever asked yourself how many times you are photographed in a day? When you walk into the bank or return your cart to the corral in the parking lot, somewhere there is a camera marking your every move. Our world is becoming full of blue lights on street corners and cameras mounted on walls. Yet David tells us in Psalm 139 that at every moment of the day, we are under a much higher scrutiny. He reveals that the secret to understanding ourselves is to know the God who knows us. We shouldn’t be surprised.

God watched you grow from conception to birth. Conception is the process by which a fertilized egg develops into a fetus. From conception to birth, there are three stages that occurs: the germinal, embryonic, and fetal stages. The first two weeks after conception is known as the germinal stage; the third through the eighth week is the embryonic period; from the ninth week until birth is the fetal period. God watched you grow through all these three stages. He kept His eyes on you before you breathed your first breath.

Not only did God know you in your mother’s womb, but His thoughts toward you are precious. Jeremiah 1:5 talks about how God had chosen Jeremiah to be a prophet before he was even born. His thoughts and purpose for him were established from the very beginning.

God has good thoughts for your life. His thoughts for you exceed the greatest mistake you’ve ever made. The mistakes you made in the past cannot and will not change His thoughts about you.

David talks about God’s thoughts toward him: “How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!” — Psalm 139:17

David is emphasizing two things here: first, that God’s thoughts ought to be of great value to us and worthy of our contemplation; and second, that God’s thoughts are too numerous for us to know, let alone for us to try to understand them all.

*POINTS TO CONSIDER*

*God knows when you sit and rise* .
Psalm 139:1–4 — “O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.”

*God knew you in the womb* .
Psalm 139:13 — “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.”

God knows you and He has good thoughts for you.
Jeremiah 29:11 — “For I know the thoughts I have for you, declares the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

*God knows you and He promised to instruct and counsel you with His eye on you.*
Psalm 32:8 — “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”

*DAY 2*

*GOD, THE ANSWER TO LIFE’S MEANING*

_Genesis 1:1 — “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”_

Before anything was created and formed into being, the only Being in existence was God. His personality was mentioned before His ability. Before He created the sun, the stars, and the seas, He existed. Before He commanded the fish and the animals to reproduce, He existed. Everything we see—both visible and invisible—came from Him.

Colossians 1:16 — “For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels—everything got started in Him and finds its purpose in Him.”

You can never fully know the purpose of a product without consulting the one who made it. In the same way, our lives have no true meaning without recognizing and acknowledging the existence of the One who created us.

Sadly, most people do not believe in the existence of God. Does God exist? Is there a God? How do we know God is real? These questions have been asked for decades—even centuries. Abraham Lincoln, an American lawyer, politician, and statesman who served as the 16th President of the United States, once said:

“I cannot understand why anyone would want to be an atheist. I believe in God because I cannot explain everything without Him.” — Abraham Lincoln

You may have already asked yourself whether God is real or not, but go one step further. What if God exists, loves you, and wants you to know Him?

If the universe was created by some random accident, then there would be no reason for it to operate in an orderly manner and adhere to multiple laws. The reason the universe obeys the laws of gravity, physics, energy, and many others is that it was designed by a logical and orderly God.

*POINTS TO CONSIDER*

1. *Creation reveals the existence of God.*
Paul said in Romans 1:19–20 that ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. (NLT)

*2.God’s existence is revealed through the heart and conscience of humanity.*
The Bible says that God has revealed His existence to humans in their consciences by impressing His law on their hearts even before they hear the gospel message. (Romans 2:14–15)

*3.God’s existence is revealed through the Person of Jesus Christ.*
God has revealed Himself to us with the greatest clarity and detail in the person of Jesus Christ.

Colossians 1:15 — “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation.” (NLT)

The signs and wonders Jesus performed revealed the glory and power of God. The way He lived, the miracles He performed, and His teachings and parables all demonstrated how much the Father cares for us. The only way to know the Father and have a relationship with Him is to know the Son, who is the fullness of God’s revelation of Himself.

*4.The Word of God reveals the existence of God.*
One of the greatest ways we get to know the person of God is through the Word of God. The Bible is God’s revelation of Himself and His purposes throughout history. From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture is God’s revelation of Himself for all to read and understand.

2 Timothy 3:16–17 says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

*PRAYER*
Lord, I love You and want to know You more and more. I long to become increasingly intimate with You, my God and Saviour.
