THE VOICE OF OUR FLESH
.. Matthew 16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. ...

We all may have been offended by the words of Jesus as He branded Peter as Satan for a moment as seen in our scriptures above but Jesus heard the voice of flesh talking which is usually contrary to the will of God.

Peter spoke against the sufferings of Jesus in Jerusalem as any human being would think of their leader. Most of us would prefer longevity for any good & inspiring leader above us. Here, the will of God was for Jesus to suffer humiliation of the Jewish church council; be beaten, hang on the cross, die & resurrect on the third day. No genuine human being would love to see his pastor suffer like Jesus was talking about. This is why Peter spoke against it.

Our flesh will always speak to us. It's not wrong to hear the voice of your flesh. Your flesh tells you when to urinate, eat, drink water & even sleep. These edges comes from our flesh. This voice of the flesh is not entirely wrong as a believer but it must be tamed to grow in the Kingdom of God. Some of the voices of our flesh go against the Holy Spirit like the edge to engage in sexual promiscuity though unmarried because it exist a big opportunity to commit such a sin. Sometimes our flesh may tell us to insult & fight an elderly person due to a provocation. Such a voice has to be tamed.

There is a need to deny our flesh of her wants & deafen our ears to her voice in order to grow in the Lord. You cannot fast and pray very well for even 3 days if you do not deny your voice of your flesh to eat and sleep. Many people cannot pray after 9pm & will easily dose off but can watch a movie during the same period. Binge eating at night is also an uncontrolled voice of our flesh. This is because they have mastered the art of taming their flesh. Learn to tame your flesh & a lot of troubles can be easily be avoided.

It take only the Holy Spirit to fully grasp the will of God & obey it. Peter did not know fully the will of God & the life assignment of Jesus but did not also want Jesus suffering for His good works. We are therefore entreated to live perpetually under the influence of the Holy Spirit else we fight unknowingly the will of God for us daily. A constant fellowship with the Holy Spirit will save us from this easy mistake: replacing the voice of God with our flesh.

My dear, God intends to fellowship & direct your affairs to the glory of His Kingdom & prosper you but are you willing to submit to a daily fellowship..? I pray for you today that you receive enough grace to walk with God in all obedience. May you experience the overflowing power of God and hear the voice of God specifically for everything you do, this week.

THE PROMISE OF GOD II
.. Romans 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. 9:9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son. ...
(Read Genesis 16 & 17)

It is pathetic how we miss the promises of God glaringly because we lack understanding & misapply the knowledge of God we have. God's word will always come to pass if we understand truly the the demand of scripture. In the passage above, Paul sought to clarify a promise of God to Abraham & by extension to Israel.

The aim of God is gaining full access & control of our hearts. We live in a generation where a lot of people in church want to have a transactional relationship with God. Such people easily give up the promise of God seem to delay in their lives & become frustrated. God rather want to wean us of these infantile behaviour to a stature Heaven can entrust with authority to govern the earth for the glory of God. Emotionalism is not entertained in the government structure of God because it sways judgment often. Our faith in God must not grow by breakthroughs & miracles but by the word of God.

God has a different time scale compared to us. The problem of many believers is that we have put a time to the promises of God without the consent of God so we expect him to work by our time. Only God understand the right time for everything on earth: HE has set time for all things under the sun ( Ecclestiatis 3).

We are without knowledge of the exact time of manifestation of the promises of God in our lives so we have to wait on God. Waiting is where many of us fail: we start getting agitated when people make us feel that we are delayed in life. People probably called Abraham the 90+ old man without a son with his wife who is believing God. The indirect mockery & questions from people around us has lured many into trying to work out the promise of God ourselves.

There may be no tomorrow for you know God for yourself. Beloved, God is still looking for people He can trust with His enormous power & authority to impact this world for His glory. You can be enlisted only when your heart is in the right condition. I pray for you today that you shall become useful in the grand scheme of God in these last days. May your life receive speed & favour from Heaven, this week.

The seed of Abraham was predestined to be Isaac & come through Sarah. Genesis 17 illustrates the mind of God for Abraham & His household: how God intends to establish his covenant blessings through Isaac & His seeds afterwards. There are some clear specifics in our walk with God. God requires some non-negotiables with every individual believer in His Kingdom.

Though God blessed Ishmael at the request of Abraham, Ishmael could not inherit the covenant of God. God esteems His Word above everything else: He would change his counsel for an individual because the said believer chooses to change courseat will. No amount of sacrifices & offering could lure God into making Ishmael the legitimate heir to Abraham.

Grace cannot erase the non-negotiables of God for any covenant & promise. It rather empowers us to play our part successfully. Many thanks novices only see God as a father so HE would shrug aside His Word for them to enjoy every promise without going through the right process. This is why many people are frustrated in church circles after many months of praying & claiming certain promises of God.

God will not abuse his proceedures for anyone. The written word of God is paramount in every dealings in the kingdom of God. Long fasting and prayers cannot erode the waiting period in the kingdom of God. God will never give you a new word which is contrary to His Word already written for our knowledge.

There is a reason why lawyers are not easily bullied by security officials because they know & interpret laws better than most civilians. Demons and false preachers capitalise on our areas of ignorance to propagate their falsehood( lies) to the masses around us. Make it your utmost desire to know & understand God's word.

There are many people today still living with their illegitimate way of fulfilling the promise of God on their lives. There are many "Ishmaels" in our lives because most of us could wait for the manifestation of God's word in our lives so we rush to help God. Anytime you feel like the promise of God is delaying in your life, you can only pray & wait for God. Any action to fulfill the promise yourself, yield in illegitimate future troubles which is avoidable. Only God can fulfill his promise, anything else done by men only breed future chaos for us.

My dear, there may be no tomorrow for you study God's word for yourself. Ground yourself in God's word & you shall experience the manifestation of every promise of God for you. May every delayed promise of God & blessings come to pass in your life, this season.

TESTIMONY DISMISSED
.. John 9:33 If this man were not of God, he could do nothing. 9:34 They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out ....
(Read John 9:1 - 38)

It is not good scene when your voice is not regarded in a issue involving you & judgement is passed. A young Jewish man was born blind & was completely healed after a encounter with Jesus but the Chief Priests & Pharisees could not accept the fact that Jesus healed him. Today, I want us to pick some lessons from the above passage.

A sinner is deemed unworthy to proclaim the good news of God's kingdom. The Pharisees & even the disciples of Jesus who were Jews believed that it is sin that predicate such conditions on men: the young man or his parents sinned that caused his blindness. By this, his testimony is invalid. By this notion, they render ineffective the grace of grace of our Lord Jesus Christ & the glory due God. Many of us still have a notion that God cannot bless or heal a sinner as well as being used of God.

We have formed our own criteria for how God should operate in our midst so anything different is ungodly. The baine of many orthodox church Christians now is that whosoever God uses must fit their human criteria & selection process. This account for why many young ministers are not received well in many circles. They presume that if the person does not come from exactly how our perception & understanding, then he is not from God. This is why the Pharisees never accepted Jesus Christ: they saw him far different from their accepted way of doing things. The Pharisees did not accept Jesus healing the blind man on a sabbath day because God rested so no man should work on a sabbath. The criteria of the Pharisees did not allow healing on a sabbath day so the blind man should not be healed by God.

Personal interest overrides the truth of God's word in our lives now. Judgement is often perverted whenever personal interest is given preeminence over all facts, details and truth. The Pharisees only saw what they wanted to focus on & denied the fact that the young man was born blind and now he is healed completely. They allowed their ego & interest against Jesus's Lordship to cast the testimony of the young man away. Many destinies & relationships have suffered terribly due to personal interest & ego rather the truth. I urge you today to kill your personal interest before making any judgement. God seldomly uses people ruled by personal interest but the devil delight in partnering such people for obvious reasons.

My dear, desist from making decisions of any kind of personal interest, ego & conventional traditions but seek the truth and let it guide you. I pray divine release & deliverance church for you from any judgement of the personal interest of men. May Heaven favour & speak for you. May the counsel of wicked men be twarted from your life, today. I ask God to open your eyes to encounter His truth & see the truth in all issues. Your testimony shall not be denied anymore.

NOT EVERY ONE
.. Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. ...

There are a lot people you will come across in any hospital you visit. Many of the people you meet may not be permanent staff there. The number of Doctors employed there would never be more than all other staff put together. It would take more knowledge to differentiate between the staff of the hospital & the head of the hospital. The same thing happens when you enter the Kingdom of God by becoming a Christian. Not Christian is doing God's will as shown in our passage above.

The foundation of our works & faith in the Kingdom of God must always be Jesus Christ. There are many things people do in the name of God or for God but they are actually lying & have far different motives for their actions. There is no exception to this statement. Many are deceived because a highly respected pastor said something or is doing something so it is right. Jesus Christ & the word of God through the influence of the Holy Spirit can judge the authenticity of every action on earth. We can all err in our interpretation of the Bible without the Holy Spirit. If you don't have time to fellowship with the Holy Spirit now, how can you do it in heaven later? If Jesus is not focus and reason for our works, I wonder how we want to live with Him in eternity.

The deception of good works must end in your life today. Philanthropy & right living can be pratised by people from all backgrounds. Without knowing God for yourself through Jesus Christ & obeying his word, all our actions is cowdung eternally. Being used by God powerfully does not take away disobedience to the Holy Spirit. Results as many prefer to judge all things by, is not suitable in the scheme of God. People throng to certain churches because of miracles, proper administration, good music, clever corporate setup, well dressed pastor, among reasons but nothing beats the will of God found in the written word of God & practised by holy men.

We must make a habit of studying and pratising the word of God daily. No other book can replace the Bible in this regard. The only way to know God is through His written word & taught by the Holy Spirit. Most of our errors & sins can be avoided if we keep a thriving relationship with the Holy Spirit. No outward activity for God can replace our time before the Lord alone studying and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Get busier before God than to be busy doing the wrong thing before me in the name of the Lord. Jesus usually said he does what he sees the Father do. Fellowship with the Holy Spirit & you will know what to do, when to do it for the right results not the applause of men.

My dear, you can choose to avoid the coming disaster of a life lived for God without God leading the way. Get closer to God as James 4:8 put it & Kingdom life will get better. I pray for you today that you receive a job well done by God. May you know the will of God and fulfill it in your life, this month.

HUSBANDMEN

Matthew 21:34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. 21:35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. 21:36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. ...
(Read Matthew 21:32 - 46)

Many of us want to be wealthy & have innumerable assets. You cannot take care everything by yourself so you would employ someone to oversee some of your properties & businesses on your behalf. We all would prefer a faithful steward than a crook. JESUS gives a parable to his crowd full of Pharisees about a man who built a vineyard & entrusted it to a wicked husbandman as illustrated above.

Everyone on earth is a husbandman (custodian) of a gift God deposited in you. You are to care & nurture the gift for God. Other people will be sent by God to benefit of your gift as the husbandman was to care for the vineyard of his master.

This husbandman in our passage today was cruel & cared for no one but himself. Many of us are just like him & will destroy others just to maintain the spaces we find ourselves. There are many husbandmen of God's gifts & talents who have become wicked gatekeepers. They decide who they help grow to be successful: they block many from growing their talents by intimidations, roadblocks, backbiting, refusing them opportunities among others. Whatever platform & gift you have today, God gave you & can take it. We kill many destinies daily with our words & actions unknowingly.

Wicked husbandmen are everywhere around us. You can be one to your younger sibling or young people who you could help without losing anything. Who has benefitted from where you are now freely.? We want to merchandise everything God has blessed us with, so much that the right people God wants to benefit from you are locked out completely..

Selfish husbandmen are predominant in our churches, schools, workplaces & other social gatherings. They try to amass everything to themselves & family like typical African politicians. They prevent others from ensuring accountability from them through corruption, manipulations and intimidations. Check your heart for selfishness & allow God remove it from you.

God shall replace you if you fail in His assignment on your life. Many people have failed God & have been replaced in the plan of God without their knowledge. Don't fall victim to such judgement. Whenever your gift & talents are no more useful to God, HE replaces you with another willing to do the bidding of God. You shall render accounts to God for the influence you have in people's lives.

My friend, it is a disgrace to end your life becoming an enemy of God by your actions and inactions with respect to the gifts & talents entrusted to you by God. Use everything around you wisely and let it benefit others to the glory of God. I pray for you today that God shall open your eyes to your shortfalls & mistakes so you can amend your ways. May you receive grace & renewed strength to live according to the purpose of God for your life.
