TITLE: THE DANGER OF TRUSTING IN MAN

THEME: CURSED IS THE ONE WHO TRUSTS IN MAN

Main Scripture: Jeremiah 17:5

Jeremiah 17:5 (KJV):
“Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.”

INTRODUCTION: WHERE IS YOUR TRUST?

Beloved, in a world full of uncertainties, shifting systems, and unreliable human promises, the question we must ask ourselves is: Where is our trust anchored?

The Bible warns us clearly about misplaced trust:

Psalm 118:8 (KJV):
“It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.”

Proverbs 3:5 (KJV):
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

Human beings are limited. Systems fail. Even the strongest among us can falter. But God remains unchanging and faithful. When we begin to depend more on human strength, connections, or worldly systems than on God, we unknowingly disconnect from the source of life.

Today’s message is a wake-up call: Trusting in man leads to spiritual dryness, but trusting in God leads to life and fruitfulness.

SUB POINT 1: TRUSTING IN MAN BRINGS SPIRITUAL DRYNESS

Jeremiah 17:6 (KJV):
“For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.”

When we rely solely on human help, we become spiritually dry. The scripture compares such a person to a desert plant—lifeless, struggling, and disconnected from nourishment.

In today’s life, many people depend on connections, wealth, or influence. Yet they experience emptiness, frustration, and lack of peace. Why? Because their source is not God.

Advice to Believers:
Do not measure your security by who you know, but by how deeply you know God. Stay connected to Him through prayer and His Word.

SUB POINT 2: TRUSTING IN GOD BRINGS FRUITFULNESS

Jeremiah 17:7-8 (KJV):
“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”

Those who trust in God are stable and fruitful regardless of circumstances. Even in difficult seasons, they flourish.

In our present world—economic hardships, uncertainties, and pressures—those who trust God remain strong and hopeful.

Advice to Believers:
Anchor your hope in God, not in circumstances. Even when things seem dry, God will sustain and prosper you.

SUB POINT 3: THE HEART OF MAN IS DECEITFUL

Jeremiah 17:9 (KJV):
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”

Human nature is flawed. This is why trusting man can be dangerous. People can promise today and fail tomorrow. Even our own understanding can mislead us.

In modern life, many have been hurt due to misplaced trust—business failures, broken relationships, betrayal. This is because the human heart is not fully dependable.

Advice to Believers:
Seek God’s guidance before trusting people. Pray for discernment and let God lead your decisions.

SUB POINT 4: GOD SEARCHES AND REWARDS THE HEART

Jeremiah 17:10 (KJV):
“I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.”

God knows our intentions. He sees beyond outward appearances. When we trust Him sincerely, He rewards us accordingly.

In today’s life, people may deceive others, but no one can deceive God. Your faith, trust, and obedience are seen by Him.

Advice to Believers:
Live with a sincere heart before God. Trust Him genuinely, and He will reward your faithfulness.

SUB POINT 5: SEEK GOD AS YOUR ONLY SOURCE

Psalm 146:3-5 (KJV):
“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God.”

Human help is temporary, but God’s help is eternal. Earthly power fades, but God’s power remains forever.

In our generation, people run to politicians, wealthy individuals, and systems for help. But true and lasting help comes from God alone.

Advice to Believers:
Make God your first and final option—not your last resort. Depend on Him in all things.

CONCLUSION: CHOOSE YOUR SOURCE WISELY

Beloved, the message is clear: trusting in man leads to a curse—spiritual dryness, disappointment, and instability. But trusting in God brings blessing, fruitfulness, and peace.

Let us reflect:

Where is your trust today?

Are you depending more on man than on God?

Return to God as your source. He never fails.

Psalm 20:7 (KJV):
“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.”

PRAYER POINTS

1. Heavenly Father, help me to trust in You completely and not rely on human strength, in the name of Jesus.

2. Lord, deliver me from every form of misplaced trust that leads to disappointment and spiritual dryness.

3. Father, plant me by Your living waters so that I will flourish in every season of my life.

4. Lord, purify my heart and give me discernment to trust wisely according to Your will.

5. Father, be my source, my help, and my refuge in all situations, in Jesus’ name.

God richly bless you.

MORNING DEVOTIONAL SERMON

TITLE: “Established and Kept by a Faithful God”

THEME: God’s Faithfulness in Establishing and Protecting Believers

DATE: 18TH APRIL, 2026

SERMON BY: APOSTLE DR. MRS PHOEBE PRISCA OWUSU-ANSAH (FOUNDER AND LEADER OF JBB INT MINISTRY)
EMAIL ADDRESS: [email protected]

Main Scripture: 2 Thessalonians 3:3 (KJV)

“But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.”

Introduction

Beloved in the Lord, we live in times filled with uncertainties, temptations, and spiritual battles. Yet, in the midst of all these, the Word of God gives us a firm assurance that God is faithful. He does not abandon His children. He establishes us and keeps us from evil.

The Bible declares in Lamentations 3:22–23 (KJV):
“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

Again, the Word says in 1 Corinthians 1:9 (KJV):
“God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.”

These scriptures remind us that our security is not in our strength, but in God’s faithfulness. No matter what we face today—whether challenges at work, family pressures, or spiritual struggles—God remains our anchor.

Sub-Point 1: God’s Faithfulness Is Unchanging

Bible Verse: Hebrews 13:8 (KJV)
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”

God does not change with circumstances. What He has promised, He will fulfill. In a world where people change, systems fail, and plans collapse, God remains constant.

In our daily lives, we may encounter disappointment from people we trusted. But God’s faithfulness is not affected by human inconsistency. He remains dependable in every season.

Advice to Believers:
Anchor your faith in God, not in people or situations. Trust that He will never fail you.

Sub-Point 2: God Establishes His Children

Bible Verse: Psalm 37:23 (KJV)
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”

To be established means to be made firm, stable, and unshakable. God directs our steps and positions us where we need to be.

In today’s world, many feel unstable—financially, emotionally, and spiritually. But when we rely on God, He gives us stability even in unstable environments.

Biblical Proof: Matthew 7:25 (KJV)
“And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.”

Advice to Believers:
Build your life on God’s Word. Let Him direct your decisions so you remain stable in all situations.

Sub-Point 3: God Protects Us from Evil

Bible Verse: Psalm 121:7 (KJV)
“The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.”

God’s protection is not partial—it covers every area of our lives. He shields us from dangers we see and those we do not see.

In our current world, there are many forms of evil—spiritual attacks, moral corruption, and unseen dangers. Yet, God’s protection surrounds His children daily.

Biblical Proof: Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.”

Advice to Believers:
Remain under God’s covering through prayer and obedience. Do not live carelessly—stay spiritually alert.

Sub-Point 4: God Strengthens Us in Times of Weakness

Bible Verse: Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee…”

Life can sometimes drain our strength—through stress, disappointments, or challenges. But God promises to strengthen us.

In our daily responsibilities—work, family, ministry—we may feel overwhelmed. Yet, God gives us the strength to carry on.

Biblical Proof: Philippians 4:13 (KJV)
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Advice to Believers:
Depend on God’s strength, not your own. When you feel weak, turn to Him in prayer.

Sub-Point 5: God Calls Us to Remain Faithful

Bible Verse: Revelation 2:10 (KJV)
“Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.”

God’s faithfulness calls for our response—faithfulness to Him. We are to remain committed regardless of challenges.

In today’s world, it is easy to give up when things get hard. But God honors those who remain steadfast.

Biblical Proof: Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Advice to Believers:
Stay committed to God. Do not give up on your faith, no matter the situation.

Conclusion

Beloved, the message today reminds us that God is faithful to establish and keep us from evil. He strengthens us, protects us, and calls us to remain faithful in return.

No matter what you are going through, remember: God is working behind the scenes. Your life is secure in His hands. As you trust Him, He will establish you and preserve you.

Let your heart be at peace, knowing that God’s faithfulness never fails.

Prayer Points

1. Prayer for Faith in God’s Faithfulness:
Father, help me to trust in Your faithfulness in every situation of my life.

2. Prayer for Stability:
Lord, establish my life and make me unshakable in faith and purpose.

3. Prayer for Protection:
Father, protect me and my family from all forms of evil, seen and unseen.

4. Prayer for Strength:
Lord, strengthen me in times of weakness and help me to overcome every challenge.

5. Prayer for Faithfulness:
Father, grant me the grace to remain faithful to You until the end.

God richly bless you.

MORNING DEVOTIONAL SERMON

THEME: A PLEA FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS — “PRECIOUS LORD, TAKE MY HAND”

TITLE: PRECIOUS LORD, LEAD ME THROUGH THE STORM

INTRODUCTION

Beloved, life is filled with moments when we feel overwhelmed—tired, weak, and worn. The cry “Precious Lord, take my hand, lead me on, let me stand” is not just a song, but a deep spiritual plea for divine guidance, strength, and righteousness in a broken world.

The Bible reminds us in Isaiah 41:10:
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

This scripture assures us that even in our weakest moments, God is ready to uphold us with His righteous hand.

Again, in Psalm 23:3, the Word says:
“He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.”

God does not only comfort us—He leads us into righteousness. Therefore, our cry today is not just for relief, but for transformation into righteous living.

THEME SCRIPTURE

Matthew 5:6
“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”

---

SERMON POINTS

1. Acknowledge Your Weakness Before God

2 Corinthians 12:9
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

Beloved, one of the greatest steps toward righteousness is humility—recognizing that we cannot do it on our own. Many today pretend to be strong outwardly but are broken within. God is not looking for perfect people; He is looking for surrendered hearts.

In our daily lives, pressures from work, family, finances, and societal expectations can drain us. But when we admit our weakness before God, His strength takes over.

Advice to believers:
Stop hiding your struggles. Bring them before God daily in prayer. Your weakness is the doorway to His strength.

2. Depend on God’s Guidance in Every Step

Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

The cry “take my hand and lead me home” reflects total dependence on God. In a world full of confusion and moral compromise, we need divine direction more than ever.

Many people rely on their own wisdom, social media trends, or worldly advice. But righteousness comes when we allow God to direct our steps.

Advice to believers:
Before making decisions—whether in relationships, business, or ministry—seek God first. His direction leads to peace and righteousness.

3. Stand Firm Through Life’s Storms

Isaiah 43:2
“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

Storms are inevitable in life. The Christian journey is not free from challenges. However, God promises His presence in every storm.

Today, many believers face emotional storms, financial hardship, spiritual dryness, and persecution. Yet, God says you will not be destroyed.

Advice to believers:
Do not give up when trials come. Hold on to God. The storm is not meant to destroy you but to strengthen your faith.

4. Seek Righteousness Above All

Matthew 6:33
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Righteousness is not optional—it is essential. Many people seek wealth, fame, and success but neglect righteousness.

True fulfillment comes when we prioritize God’s kingdom and live according to His standards.

In today’s world filled with corruption, dishonesty, and immorality, choosing righteousness requires intentional effort.

Advice to believers:
Live a life that pleases God, even when it is unpopular. Your reward is eternal.

5. Allow God to Sustain and Strengthen You

Psalm 55:22
“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”

God does not just lead us—He sustains us. When we are tired, weak, and worn, He carries us.

Many believers carry burdens alone—fear, anxiety, guilt, and pain. But God invites us to release everything to Him.

Advice to believers:
Stop carrying burdens God never asked you to carry. Surrender everything to Him and rest in His strength.

CONCLUSION

Beloved, the cry “Precious Lord, take my hand” is a cry for surrender, righteousness, and divine help. From acknowledging our weakness to seeking righteousness and standing through storms, God remains faithful.

Let us remember:

Psalm 37:23-24
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.”

God is holding your hand. He will lead you, sustain you, and bring you home safely—if only you trust Him and walk in righteousness.

PRAYER POINTS

1. O Lord, take my hand and lead me in the path of righteousness in Jesus’ name.

2. Father, in my weakness, release Your strength upon my life in Jesus’ name.

3. Lord, help me to stand firm through every storm of life in Jesus’ name.

4. Father, give me the grace to seek Your kingdom and righteousness above all things.

5. O Lord, I cast all my burdens upon You—sustain me and uphold me in Jesus’ name.

God richly bless you.

TITLE: ABRAHAM’S FAITHFULNESS: REFUSING MAN’S GLORY FOR GOD’S HONOUR

INTRODUCTION

Beloved, in a world where many strive for recognition, wealth, and validation from men, God is calling His children to a higher standard—a life of total dependence on Him. The story of Abraham after the war reveals a deep spiritual truth: when you know you are blessed by God, you will not compromise your faith for earthly gain.

After rescuing Lot and defeating kings, Abraham was offered great wealth by the king of S***m. Yet, he refused. Why? Because he understood the source of his blessing.

Genesis 14:22-23 (KJV)
“And Abram said to the king of S***m, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:”

This is the heart of a man who is fully persuaded that God alone is his source. Abraham did not want any man to take credit for what only God can do.

Let us also consider:

James 1:17 (KJV)
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

Beloved, when you truly understand that your blessing comes from God, you will guard your life against anything that seeks to replace Him.

SUB POINT 1: KNOWING GOD AS YOUR SOURCE

Genesis 14:22 (KJV)
“And Abram said to the king of S***m, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,”

Abraham acknowledged God as the possessor of heaven and earth. This means everything belongs to God—wealth, power, and influence.

Psalm 24:1 (KJV)
“The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”

Explanation

Abraham’s confidence came from his relationship with God. He didn’t depend on kings because he knew the King of kings. Today, many believers panic when human help is withdrawn because they have not fully anchored their trust in God.

Advice to Believers

Shift your dependence from people to God. Jobs, connections, and opportunities are channels—but God is the source. When you know this, fear will leave your heart.

SUB POINT 2: REFUSING COMPROMISE FOR EARTHLY GAIN

Genesis 14:23 (KJV)
“That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:”

Abraham refused even the smallest benefit.

Mark 8:36 (KJV)
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

Explanation

Abraham understood that accepting the king’s gift could tie his destiny to ungodly influence. Today, many compromise their faith for money, positions, or favor.

Advice to Believers

Be careful what you accept. Not every opportunity is from God. If it will compromise your integrity or your walk with God, reject it.

SUB POINT 3: PROTECTING GOD’S GLORY IN YOUR LIFE

Genesis 14:23 (KJV)
“…lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:”

Abraham was concerned about who gets the glory.

Isaiah 42:8 (KJV)
“I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.”

Explanation

God does not share His glory. Abraham wanted it to be clear that his success came from God alone. In our generation, many attribute their success to connections, intelligence, or luck.

Advice to Believers

Always give God the credit. Let your life testify that God is your helper. When God is glorified in your life, He will continue to bless you.

SUB POINT 4: WALKING IN COVENANT CONFIDENCE

Genesis 15:1 (KJV)
“After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.”

After Abraham refused the king’s offer, God reassured him.

Hebrews 10:35 (KJV)
“Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.”

Explanation

When you choose God over worldly gain, He becomes your reward. Abraham did not lose anything; he gained divine assurance.

Advice to Believers

Do not fear missing out when you choose righteousness. God Himself will reward your faithfulness.

SUB POINT 5: LIVING A LIFE OF CONTENTMENT IN GOD

Philippians 4:11-12 (KJV)
“Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.”

Abraham was content with God’s blessing.

1 Timothy 6:6 (KJV)
“But godliness with contentment is great gain.”

Explanation

Contentment comes from knowing God is enough. Abraham didn’t feel deprived because he knew God had already blessed him.

Advice to Believers

Stop comparing your life with others. Be satisfied with God’s plan for you. Contentment protects you from greed and spiritual downfall.

CONCLUSION

The theme, “The Power of God-Dependent Faithfulness,” reminds us that true success is not measured by what we receive from men, but by our obedience to God.

Abraham’s life teaches us:

God is our source

Compromise is costly

God must receive the glory

Faithfulness brings divine reward

Contentment leads to peace

When you choose God over worldly gain, you position yourself for divine elevation.

Proverbs 10:22 (KJV)
“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”

Beloved, may your life reflect Abraham’s faithfulness, in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINTS

1. O Lord, help me to know You as my only source of blessing, in Jesus’ name.

2. Father, give me the grace to reject every ungodly opportunity that will compromise my faith, in Jesus’ name.

3. Lord, let my life bring glory to Your name alone, and not to any man, in Jesus’ name.

4. Father, strengthen my confidence in Your promises and make Yourself my exceeding great reward, in Jesus’ name.

5. Lord, teach me contentment and help me to trust in Your perfect provision at all times, in Jesus’ name.

God richly bless you.

TITLE: THE WEEPING PROPHET — A BURNING HEART FOR A BACKSLIDDEN NATION

INTRODUCTION

Beloved in the Lord, today we look at the life of Jeremiah, known as the “weeping prophet.” He was not weak; he was wounded for the sins of his people. His tears were not of defeat but of deep compassion. His heart burned because Judah had turned away from God.

Jeremiah’s calling was clear from the beginning.

Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV)

> “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”

God chose him for a divine assignment — to call a rebellious nation back to righteousness.

Jeremiah’s sorrow is revealed in:

Jeremiah 9:1 (KJV)

> “Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!”

His tears reflected God’s broken heart over sin.

THEME SCRIPTURE

Jeremiah 20:9 (KJV)

> “Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.”

God’s Word burned inside him. He could not remain silent.

SUB POINT 1: A TRUE SERVANT OF GOD CARRIES GOD’S BURDEN

Jeremiah felt what God felt.

Jeremiah 4:19 (KJV)

> “My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.”

This was spiritual anguish.

Explanation for Today:
In our generation, sin is normalized. Immorality, pride, corruption, and rebellion are celebrated. But do we feel burdened? A true believer does not laugh at what breaks God’s heart.

Advice to Believers:
Ask God to give you a sensitive heart. Do not become comfortable with sin around you.

SUB POINT 2: SIN BRINGS CONSEQUENCES

Jeremiah warned the people repeatedly.

Jeremiah 2:13 (KJV)

> “For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.”

They abandoned God for empty substitutes.

Jeremiah 5:25 (KJV)

> “Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.”

Explanation for Today:
When people walk away from God, they lose peace, direction, and blessing. Sin blocks divine flow.

Advice to Believers:
Examine your life. Anything replacing God in your heart is a broken cistern.

SUB POINT 3: GOD DESIRES REPENTANCE, NOT DESTRUCTION

Even in judgment, God’s heart longed for repentance.

Jeremiah 3:12 (KJV)

> “Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever.”

Jeremiah 29:13 (KJV)

> “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

Explanation for Today:
God does not delight in punishment. He desires restoration. No matter how far someone has fallen, repentance opens heaven.

Advice to Believers:
Return quickly when you fall. God’s mercy is still available.

SUB POINT 4: SPEAKING TRUTH MAY BRING REJECTION

Jeremiah was mocked, beaten, and imprisoned.

Jeremiah 20:2 (KJV)

> “Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the LORD.”

Jeremiah 20:7 (KJV)

> “O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me.”

Explanation for Today:
Standing for righteousness may cost friendships, popularity, or comfort. But truth must be spoken.

Advice to Believers:
Do not compromise truth for acceptance. Remain faithful to God’s Word.

SUB POINT 5: GOD ALWAYS PRESERVES A REMNANT

Though Jerusalem fell, God promised restoration.

Jeremiah 30:11 (KJV)

> “For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.”

Lamentations 3:22–23 (KJV)

> “It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

Even after judgment, mercy spoke.

Explanation for Today:
God always preserves those who remain faithful. Even in a corrupt world, there is a remnant.

Advice to Believers:
Be part of the faithful remnant. Stay committed regardless of the culture around you.

BIBLICAL PROOF

Jeremiah’s ministry fulfilled God’s pattern of warning before judgment.

Ezekiel 18:23 (KJV)

> “Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?”

This proves God desires repentance over destruction.

CONCLUSION

Beloved, Jeremiah wept because sin destroys destinies. His heart burned because he saw what people refused to see.

Today, God is still calling for repentance.
He still seeks hearts that burn for righteousness.
He still desires a people who will stand in the gap.

Let us not harden our hearts. Let us return to God fully. May our hearts burn with passion for holiness and for souls.

FIVE PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, give me a heart that feels what You feel.

2. Lord, remove every hidden sin from my life.

3. O God, ignite Your Word as fire in my bones.

4. Give me boldness to stand for truth despite opposition.

5. Let revival begin in me and spread to my generation.

May the Lord set our hearts on fire for repentance and righteousness.

God richly bless you.

TITLE: DIVINE REVERSAL — WHEN GOD TURNS TRAPS INTO TESTIMONIES

AMAZING INTRODUCTION

Beloved in the Lord, there are moments in life when the enemy sets traps thinking he will end your destiny. King Saul thought he could use his own daughter Michal as bait to destroy David. But what Saul planned as destruction, God turned into protection. What was designed as a trap became a divine escape route.

The Word of God declares in Genesis 50:20:

> “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.”

This scripture summarizes the story of David. Saul intended evil, but God ordained it for good.

Again, the Bible says in Psalm 105:15:

> “Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.”

David was anointed. Though attacked, he was preserved.

Today’s message is for every believer who feels surrounded by traps, betrayal, or opposition. The same God who turned Saul’s evil intentions into David’s protection is still alive and working in our lives today.

BIBLICAL FOUNDATION OF THE STORY

Let us look at the scripture:

1 Samuel 18:20–21

> “And Michal Saul's daughter loved David: and they told Saul, and the thing pleased him.
And Saul said, I will give him her, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him. Wherefore Saul said to David, Thou shalt this day be my son in law in the one of the twain.”

Saul openly admitted his plan — to make Michal a snare to David.

But God intervened.

1 Samuel 19:11–12

> “Saul also sent messengers unto David's house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal David's wife told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to night, tomorrow thou shalt be slain.
So Michal let David down through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped.”

The trap became an escape route.

FIVE SUB-POINTS WITH BIBLICAL EXPLANATION

1. THE ENEMY CAN PLAN, BUT GOD OVERRULES

Saul planned strategically. But heaven had already decided David’s future.

The Bible says in Proverbs 19:21:

> “There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.”

Saul had devices (plans). But God had counsel (purpose).

In our current life, many people may plan against your progress — in your workplace, family, ministry, or business. But remember: human plans cannot cancel divine purpose.

Believers must understand that when God has ordained you for greatness, no opposition can terminate it.

2. GOD CAN USE UNEXPECTED PEOPLE FOR YOUR DELIVERANCE

Saul thought Michal would be a snare. Instead, she became David’s defender.

The Bible says in Psalm 34:19:

> “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.”

Notice — God did not say there would be no affliction. But He promised deliverance.

God can use unexpected people — even those connected to your enemies — to protect you.

In today’s life, sometimes the help you need may come from unlikely places. Do not despise people. God can use anyone as your instrument of escape.

3. WHAT WAS MEANT TO TRAP YOU WILL PERFECT YOU

The hardship David faced refined him. He learned humility, dependence on God, and warfare strategies.

The Bible says in Romans 8:28:

> “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

“All things” includes betrayal, rejection, and persecution.

Also, James 1:3–4 says:

> “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”

The trap matured David into a king.

Believers, what you are going through is not to destroy you but to perfect you.

4. DIVINE PROTECTION FOLLOWS DIVINE ANOINTING

David was anointed in 1 Samuel 16. The oil on his head attracted battles but also guaranteed protection.

The Bible says in Isaiah 54:17:

> “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn…”

Notice — weapons will be formed. But they shall not prosper.

And in Psalm 23:5:

> “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”

Your enemies will watch you rise.

In our modern life, the anointing of God upon your life may attract jealousy. But it also activates divine security.

5. GOD TURNS PERSECUTION INTO PROMOTION

If Saul had not persecuted David, David might not have developed into the warrior-king he became.

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 4:8–9:

> “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.”

Persecution did not destroy David — it prepared him.

Believers today must not interpret every hardship as failure. Sometimes, it is preparation for royalty.

ADVICE TO BELIEVERS

1. Do not panic when attacked — pray.

2. Do not retaliate in flesh — trust God’s timing.

3. Do not curse your enemies — God may use them to promote you.

4. Stay faithful in trials — your crown is ahead.

5. Remain anointed through prayer and holiness.

The same God who protected David will protect you.

CONCLUSION

The theme declares: What the enemy meant for evil, God turned into divine protection and perfection.

Saul planned murder.
Michal became deliverance.
Persecution became preparation.
The trap became a testimony.

Beloved, the enemy cannot outsmart God.

As it is written in Isaiah 43:2:

> “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

Your story will end in victory.
