SEEING YOURSELF AS CAPABLE

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” – Philippians 4:13.

In Numbers 13, twelve people were sent out on a mission to spy out Canaan. Ten of them came back with a report of Israel’s inability to possess the land. Numbers 13:31-33 (NLT) ~ “We can’t go up against them! They are stronger than we are!’ … All the people we saw were huge. We even saw giants there, the descendants of Anak. Next to them we felt like grasshoppers.”

But Joshua and Caleb saw it differently. Numbers 13:30 (NLT) says: “But Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses. ‘Let’s go at once to take the land,’ he said. ‘We can certainly conquer it!”’ They saw their ability to possess the land and they did, while the ten men who brought the evil report all died in the wilderness.

Some people see life in general as a feat that cannot be attained. They say to themselves, “What can I do under this circumstance?”, “I have no one to help me”, “My situation is a dead end.” If you cannot see your ability to do something, you will never do it. You cannot go farther than you can see yourself going. Without a sense of ability, there will be no outstanding accomplishment.

Develop an ability consciousness, to tell yourself every time and during any difficult situation that – “this can be done”. You are self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency. Philippians 4:13 (AMP) ~ “I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose – I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]”

Prayer for today:
In Jesus’ name, I am infused with inner strength and confidence and I am ready for anything, Amen.

AVOID A LIFESTYLE OF WASTE

“The wise have wealth and luxury, but fools spend whatever they get.” – Proverbs 21:20, NLT.

A person who wastes time, money and resources is always in need. Luke 15:13-14 (NLT) says: “A few days later this younger son packed all his belongings and moved to a distant land, and there he wasted all his money in wild living. About the time his money ran out, a great famine swept over the land, and he began to starve.”

A saver will enjoy abundance. Proverbs 21:20 (AMP) says: “There is precious treasure and oil in the house of the wise [who prepare for the future].” A waster does not value the little things. God will not bring increase if you mismanage the little, He gives you per time. After Jesus fed the multitude, He told the disciples to pick up the fragments.

John 6:12-13 (NLT) ~ “After everyone was full, Jesus told his disciples, ‘Now gather the leftovers, so that nothing is wasted.’ So they picked up the pieces and filled twelve baskets with scraps left by the people who had eaten from the five barley loaves.” God increases graces and anointings upon people who maximize their potentials and capacity.

Paul told the Corinthians in 2 Corinthians 6:1 (AMP) ~ “Working together with Him, we strongly urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain [by turning away from sound doctrine and His merciful kindness].” Time is precious, always occupy yourself with something meaningful. Ephesians 5:16 (AMP) ~ “Making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil.”

Prayer for today:
Oh Lord, help me to maximize my time and resources and be a saver of money, Amen.
