Have you ever watched a balloon over a period of time, as it slowly starts to lose its battle with gravity and begins the slow fade back down to the earth? No? I’m the only lazy person who keeps balloons until they are dying?

Over the years, we have celebrated many events with bright and fancy Mylar balloons. They cheer up any good celebration and add just the right amount of finishing touches, am I right? After the celebration is over, I try my hardest to give these balloons away and all too often, there are adorable little ones who are just too happy to take them off my hands! However, sometimes, these gorgeous, filled-to-the-brim balloons make their way back to our home.

They float around our living room for a week or so and then they slowly start to fade. You can see a visible deflation; what was once bursting with fullness and life starts to collapse under the weight of the gravitational pull that was once so easy to fight. The balloons start to look dull and empty.

If you are super lazy, like we are, then you will eventually see these former beauties begin to sink. They slowly drop from the heights they once reached and begin a downward drift that causes them to fall ever so gradually to the ground below them.

If these gravity-defying beauties can lose their luster and plummet to the ground because they haven’t been refilled - how are you and I any different?

The simple answer is we aren’t.

We are all too similar to these helium-filled balloons, only our filling comes from our Father. The One who knit us together in the womb, the One who knows every hair on our head, the One who chose us, who calls us His own, the One who forgives every wrong and breaks every chain. He is who fills us.

2 Timothy 1:6 says “Therefore I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is in you through the laying on of my hands."

rekindle inspirational image

Rekindle the gift of God that is in you. When reading this verse - this line struck me like a ton of bricks. The gift of God that is in you is already in you. It’s there. He already gave it to you. God gave each one of us gifts. The world has a tendency to bury those gifts under guilt, sin, shame, disappointment, abuse, neglect, loss. These gifts get smashed down, trampled on, and often lay dormant. They are tucked away so deep in our subconscious that retrieval seems impossible. However, God wants to renew those gifts; to rekindle that spark that was set in our hearts when He placed them in us in the first place.

We need to shift.

Shift our focus to our creator. To the One who looks at us and sees perfection in His creation. Where we focus our attention will determine our outcome. God is calling us to stop relying on ourselves. He wants you to embrace who He created you to be.

Are you like the gravity-defying-filled-to-the-brim balloon, showing off all your glory? Or are you deflating and losing ground at a slow fading rate? I pray you are showing off your glory, my friend!

As life happens, we will not always be filled to the brim. We will go through periods of life where we are on the slow fade. However, you must realize that you can only give the world what is in your balloon and the only way to fill your balloon is Jesus. It is essential to take the time, to make the time. I’m busy, yes, Lord knows I am busy. You’re busy. I see you friend - working your buns off, running the kids to a thousand events all over the city, somehow miraculously being in 5 places at once, trying to make it to the grocery store in between and put something with a semblance of health on the stove for dinner, scrubbing down dirty kids and dirty floors, rarely sitting down or taking a moment for yourself, trying to sleep and running through the to-do’s that didn’t get done, and waking up all too early to do it again.

I’m here to tell you, that while all of that running and emptying of your balloon is necessary and is good, it will leave you deflating and on a steady decline if you don’t take the time to breathe life back into yourself.

The only way to do that is to get to spend some quiet time with your King.

Connect.

Refill.

Ignite.

Renew.

Revive.

Rekindle.

GOD bless you all
Have a blessed month

The Name
For at least part of their history, the Hebrews were a nomadic people who wandered from place to place seeking pasture for their herds of sheep, goats, and cattle. To sustain their livelihood, it was vital for shepherds to keep their animals from straying, protect them from thieves and wild animals, and provide them with plentiful pastures. In the ancient Near East and in Israel itself, "shepherd" eventually became a metaphor for kings. The Hebrew Scriptures speak of God as the Shepherd of his people and apply this image to religious leaders as well. The New Testament presents Jesus as the Good Shepherd, who protects the lives of his sheep by forfeiting his own life. When you pray to the Lord your Shepherd, you are praying to the One who watches over you day and night, feeding you and leading you safely on the path of righteousness.

Key Scripture
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake. (Psalm 23:1-3)

PROMISES ASSOCIATED WITH GOD'S NAME

When a herd grows to a hundred or more sheep in the Middle East, its owner can often afford to hire a shepherd to watch over them. God himself had appointed shepherds to guide his people, but many of them acted like hirelings, abandoning the sheep at the first sign of danger or even leading them astray for their own selfish motives. The same is true today whenever church leaders abandon the gospel in favor of money, power, or the pursuit of pleasure. Not only does God promise to judge such false and faithless shepherds, but he promises to shepherd his people himself. That promise is fulfilled in the life and ministry of Jesus, the one who is the Good Shepherd who lays down his life for his sheep.

Promises in Scripture

I myself will tend my sheep and have them lie down, declares the Sovereign LORD. I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and the strong I will destroy. I will shepherd the flock with justice. (Ezekiel 34:15-16)

I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. (John 10:14-18)

Continued Prayer and Praise

Pray that God will bring back the lost. (Ezekiel 34)

Remember that Jesus is the gate for the sheep. (John 10:7-10)

Praise Jesus, the shepherd who will wipe away every tear from our eyes. (Revelation 7:15-17)

Good day to you all beloveds

Think About These Things - Beloved Women

READ: “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” (Philippians 4:8 ESV)

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: Many times, we don’t experience joy because we don’t control our thoughts. However, our thoughts have great influence on our feelings and lead to our actions. In Philippians 4:8, Paul gives a laundry list of things to think on; what’s commendable, excellent, praiseworthy and more. I love that he first says, think on what is true.

A lot of the thoughts that we allow in our minds prevent us from experiencing joy and are not even true. If we think to ourselves, “God is mad at me, He doesn’t really love me”, that’s just not true. These are the thoughts that we need to throw away. I challenge you to take a mental inventory of your thoughts, write them down, and ask is this even true. If it’s not, let it go. If it is, pray about it and give it to God.

PRAY: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me a sound mind through the power of Your Holy Spirit. I pray for wisdom to recognize thoughts that are not true and strength to let them go. May Your truth fill my mind. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.

You are blessed

Your Three-Way Calling

In Jude 1, we read the following greeting,

Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ.

The Greek word for called here is used in three different ways. As believers in Jesus Christ, this word tells us we are called to three things:

1. It is used for those who are summoned to an office, duty, or a responsibility. Friend, every believer has been called. You have a duty, you have an office, and you have a responsibility. We have all been called to do something for Christ. We are ambassadors for Christ, and we need to represent Him to a lost and dying world.

2. The word called is also used in the Greek language to summon someone to a feast or a festival. And you know what? You have been called to the marriage supper of the Lamb, and you will sit down one day to enjoy all the things God has planned for eternity.

3. Finally, the word translated called in this passage is used to summon someone into court to give an account for themselves, or to summon them to judgment. One day we will have to give an account of our lives. One day every one of us will stand before the judgment seat of Christ and give an account for the works done in the body.

You have a responsibility to represent Christ to our dying world, to someday celebrate the marriage supper of the Lamb, and to ultimately give an account of your life.

I pray you will embrace and fulfill your calling today. In the name of Jesus, amen

God bless you all

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Heavenly Father, it is easy to sing your praises when life is well, but how quickly we forget when the road turns hard. Help us to give thanks in all circumstances.

As believers, we bear the name of Jesus Christ each and every day of our lives. Yet, so many easy-believing, churchgoing, cultural Christians love to claim Jesus on Sunday, but show no thankfulness during the week for the name they bear. They’ll say, “Oh yes, I’m a Christian,” only when it’s convenient.

But the Bible is clear in passages like today’s that we’ll know real believers by their fruits. I’m not talking about someone with a squeaky-clean sin record, but people whose passion for the Lord is evident in their everyday lives. Live each day for His glory, thanking God and remembering you bear the name of the King who bought you with His life.

Dear Lord, may we never be ashamed to praise your name. It is easy to rejoice when life is going well, but we quickly turn away and grumble when challenges arise. Help us to give thanks in all circumstances. Help us live humble, grateful lives. Today, Lord, help us remember your goodness toward us. In your name we pray, Amen.

WORDS.

WHAT IS YOUR CONFESSION?

*PROVERBS 18:21*
*21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.*

*PROVERBS 21:23*
*23 Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.*

*MATTHEW 12:37*
*37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.*

*MARK 11:23*
*23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.*

Faith has been taught for years in the church.
People have been encouraged to believe. But we have not heard much teaching about WORDS, or saying what you believe.
The scripture verses above illustrate the importance of WORDS.

You want get the blessings of God just because you have faith. You want get answers to your prayer just because you have faith. You want get healed just because you have faith. Most people think they will, but they are wrong. The Bible does not teach it.
The Bible teaches that you get saved because you believe and say something-not just because you believe.

*ROMANS 10:9,10*
*9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.*
*10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.*

The Bible does not say simply that if you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead , you will be saved. You will not be saved just because you believe it. Notice in the verse 10 the phrase “with the mouth.” With the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Faith is always expressed in WORDS. Faith must be released in WORDS through your mouth.

We can see that in all of these Scriptures we have read. When you speak something, that is action.
I’m not talking about the WORDS you speak in church or the WORDS you use when praying.

I’m talking about the WORDS you use in your everyday life: the WORDS you speak home, with your friends, at work. *These everyday WORDS do three things to you and for you:*
1.) The Words you speak identify you.
2.) The words you speak set the boundaries of your life.
3.) The words you speak affect your spirit (your inward man).

If you want to locate yourself just listen to the WORDS you speak.
Your words are so important. You need to realize that. They set boundaries of your life.
*You will never realize anything beyond the words you speak.* *You will never have anything beyond your own words.*
Speak positive words in your life today and always no matter the challenges you are facing and you will see positive results and success in your life..!
