DEALING WITH WICKEDNESS IN PEOPLE
Our world today is filled with people whose hearts are consumed by malice and wicked intentions. Some individuals carry bitterness, jealousy, and hidden hostility within them. Their thoughts are constantly centred on pulling others down, discrediting good people, and creating confusion wherever they find themselves.
Never assume that everyone who smiles with you genuinely loves or supports you. Whether in corporate organisations, ministry, family life, education, or politics, you will encounter men and women whose agenda is to frustrate your progress, damage your reputation, create misunderstanding between you and well meaning people, and spread falsehood until your good works are forgotten or questioned by others.
There are some people who may celebrate with you publicly, yet secretly resent every step of your advancement. They appear pleasant on the outside, but inwardly they are disturbed by your growth, opportunities, and achievements.
Friend, not every applause comes from a sincere heart. When you find yourself in an environment filled with malicious people, wisdom becomes necessary. You must either rise above their schemes or carefully keep your distance from them.
Constant association with corrupt minds can gradually influence your character, distort your judgement, and drain your peace.
A person who dances continuously to the tune of wicked people may eventually become like them.
One of the easiest ways people fall into the traps of wicked individuals is through CARELESS SPEECH. Talking excessively exposes your plans, weaknesses, emotions, and private matters to people who may later use them against you. Wisdom teaches restraint. Not everything should be shared with everyone.
The book of Jeremiah 17:9 clearly states the schemes of man. It reads: βThe heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?β This reminds us to walk in discernment and spiritual awareness when dealing with people.
In handling wicked people, you need the mind of Christ. It is a mindset filled with divine wisdom, patience, humility, and self control. Christ teaches us not to repay evil with evil, but to remain steadfast in righteousness while exercising discernment. Wisdom does not make you fearful of people; it teaches you how to relate wisely with them.
Do not be too QUICK to reveal your dreams, visions, or personal struggles to people whose hearts you have not discerned. Some people do not have the emotional or spiritual maturity to handle your progress. What should have been PROTECTED in PRAYER often becomes ATTACKED because it was exposed prematurely to the WRONG EARS.
At times, wicked people may intentionally provoke you so they can study your reactions and use your words against you. Learn the DISCIPLINE OF SILENCE. Not every accusation deserves a response, and not every battle deserves your energy. Some victories come through restraint, dignity, and quiet confidence in God.
Above all, guard your heart and remain focused on your purpose. Never allow the bitterness, deception, or cruelty of others to turn you into a wicked person yourself. Continue to walk in integrity, prayer, and wisdom. In the end, light will always overcome darkness, and truth will eventually prevail over falsehood.
