*Fasting Day 26*

*26th January 2026*

*Theme:* *Living with Eternity in View*

*Scripture Reading*

📖 *“While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”* — *2 Corinthians 4:18*

📖 *“Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”* — *Colossians 3:2*

📖 *“So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”* — *Psalm 90:12*

📖 *“For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come.”* — *Hebrews 13:14*

*Reflection*

Living with eternity in view is the foundation of spiritual wisdom. The believer’s life is not defined by the present age but by God’s eternal purpose. Earthly life is temporary, preparatory, and purposeful—it is meant to shape us for what is eternal.

When eternity is removed from our vision, priorities become distorted. Success is measured by comfort, possessions, and visibility rather than obedience, faithfulness, and spiritual maturity. But when eternity governs our thinking, we steward time carefully, make disciplined choices, and live with intentionality.

Every decision carries eternal weight. How we live now—our obedience, service, faithfulness, and endurance—has lasting consequence before God. Nothing done in Christ is wasted. The believer lives in awareness of divine evaluation, where works will be tested and rewards given.

Living with eternity in view produces sobriety, perseverance, and focus. It guards against spiritual carelessness and anchors the heart in obedience even when immediate results are unseen. It also strengthens endurance, reminding us that present sufferings cannot be compared with the glory that is to come.

This eternal perspective does not remove us from earthly responsibility; rather, it gives meaning to it. We work, serve, love, and endure because eternity matters.

*Prayer Focus

Pray earnestly for:

* A heart that values eternal realities above temporary gains
* Wisdom to steward time, gifts, and opportunities faithfully
* Grace to live daily with accountability before God
* Strength to endure with eternal hope

I Pray for You

In the name of Jesus, I pray that God lifts your vision beyond the present moment. May your heart be anchored in eternal truth, your choices guided by wisdom, and your life marked by faithfulness. I declare that you will live purposefully, prepared for eternity and pleasing to God, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Meditation for the Day

📝 I live today with eternity in view, valuing what matters to God forever.
