“You Served Well” — Chairperson commends outgoing Presbytery Session Council Standing Committee Members.
The Chairperson of the Asante Presbytery, Rev. Samuel Ahima-Yeboah, has commended five outgoing members of the Presbytery Session Council Standing Committee for their dedicated service and valuable contributions to the work of the Presbytery.
The members are Rev. Joseph Amoah-Mensah and Rev. Philip Pinto, Ministers' Representatives on the Council; Catechist Augustine K. Arthur, Catechist Representative; Mrs. Akosua Osafo Boateng, Presbyters' Representative; and Rev. Samuel K. Darko, Director of Mission and Evangelism.
Rev. Darko served the Committee for two consecutive three-year terms, while the other representatives served under the constitutional arrangement that provides for the rotation of two ministerial and lay representatives on the Committee.
In a message of appreciation, Rev. Ahima-Yeboah praised the outgoing members for their commitment, insight and thoughtful participation in deliberations. He particularly commended their willingness to ask critical questions and offer perspectives that contributed to sound decision-making and effective governance within the Presbytery.
The Chairperson also highlighted the importance of the Presbyterian Church's democratic polity, which promotes shared participation between the clergy and laity in discerning and pursuing the will of God.
As a mark of appreciation, Certificates of Meritorious Service were presented to each of the outgoing members in recognition of their dedication and service to the Presbytery.
