THE GOSPEL .

MATHEW 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a, witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come . ( KJV)

The gospel is the message of Christ . It is the message of the Bible . The word gospel is a, word that means " GOOD NEWS" or GLAD TIDINGS . Solomon describe it as cold water to a, thirsty soul . Paul describe it as the power of God , the good news of Christ . The good news is not about a, salary increase , it is not a, gift of a, house , a, gift of car or property , it is not about physical or temporal happiness and comfort . For the news to be good , it has to be relevant to the HEATER'S condition. Since this news is for All creatures , it must have SINGULAR application and relevance to humanity . Not everyone is poor and in need of a, financial increase . It is not all that needs physical healing ; it is not all that have common physical condition requiring the same " news "

Therefore , what is the gospel about ? Since the gospel is for everyone on earth , then it must be for the common problem of man and the of every man is not money or anything physical . The problem of every man is " SIN " . Therefore , the gospel is about sin . We have sinners who are rich , healthy , literate and they are financially sound . However , sinners are far from God . They are estranged from God , they are enemies of God , they are cast out of God's presence .The gospel is called THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GRACE OF GOD " it will announce God's grace to the sinners freely given without any condition .

The message is a, person . This person is the Gift of God . The message is peace . Peace is a, person. The message is about Christ , the son of God . God gave him for us , He is the grace of God to us . The gospel is the news of Christ Jesus , how he affects sinful humanity . Hence , we must come into the fullness of the knowledge of the gospel .
The charter of the gospel is about the humanity of Christ . His death , burial , resurrection and his ascending to heaven . In these events are the facts that have CHANGED humanity forever and are irreversible ! The gospel in these events , the good news is found herein .

Confession : I am saved by the gospel of Christ and therefore I preach it to all humanity .

THE WORD OF HIS GRACE .

ACTS 20:32
And now , brethren ,I commend you to God , and to the word of his grace , which is able to build you up , and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.(KJV)

Salvation is free and is the sole work of the saviour . Spiritual growth requires conscious efforts of daily feeding on the word . It is only the man born again who can grow in Christ . The beginning or foundation for spiritual growth is the understanding of the gospel . If you don't understand the gospel , you can never have holistic growth in the faith . In our opening text apostle paul commended the church to the word of his grace which is able to build them up or grow them in Christ .

This means that it is not every word or activity in church that can build the believer up or make him grow in Christ .The church or the pastor is supposed to equip or perfect the saints to maturity through the teaching of the word of his grace which is the doctrine of Christ . A church where hours are spent in interrogating demons and hour are spent prophesying telephones number and private events can never grow their members . Believers are built up by teaching the scriptures . The food for growth is by teaching Christ . A church where all that they teach is motivation for success , breakthrough and materialism can never grow their members . They may have a, form of organized religious system and influence but will still be babies in Christ . Believers are built up by teaching them who they are in Christ , what they have in Christ and what Christ can do through them . They are trained by consistent prayer life , evangelism and bible studies . When the true word of God becomes the focus of a, church , their members will definitely grow . When believers are grown , they do the work of ministry for glorious reward when Christ comes .

WE DON'T PRAY FOR GRACE !!!

2Peter 1:2
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the Knowledge of God , and of Jesus our lord ,

Ignorant have make many pastors and believers to interpret scriptures wrongly . First of all what is GRACE ?
Grace is a, free gift bestowed by God or is a, gift from heavenly father given through his son Jesus Christ . The Greek word of grace is CHARIS , meaning grace , kindness, and life . Another greek word of grace is DORA , which mean gift of God . Grace is Christ Jesus . This is the reason why bible said , For the law was given by Moses , but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ . The day you get born again , Christ entered you meaning grace entered you . Grace is free gift give to us , we don't pray for grace , grace is bestowed on us .

How can grace be multiplied ? Bible said , According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness , through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue ;
This knowledge is not gnosis which is sensual and head knowledge but is epignosis which means precise and accurate knowledge . Grace can be multiplied through a , revealed knowledge of Christ . Bible said, Now we have received , not the spirit of the world , but the spirit which is of God ; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God . Knowing what Christ have done for you , what he can do through you and what he will do is termed as grace multiplication or grace increase .

Bible said , But grow in grace , and in the knowledge of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ . To him be glory both now and for ever . Amen . Now we have seen that grace is Christ Jesus and the knowledge of him is what he have done , what he is doing and what he will do . Therefore we must spent time in his word to grow in him in the knowledge of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ . Bible said , study to shew thyself approved unto God , a workman that needeth not to be ashamed , rightly dividing the word of truth . Believers must study the word of God to multiple in grace and not praying for more grace because grace is Christ . Brother Paul said, I thank my God always on your behalf , for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ . The day you accepted Christ , grace entered you because is a, free gift from God .

CONFESSION : I have accepted Christ therefore grace is bestowed on me . Hallujah .

THE GUIDANCE OF THE HOLY GHOST.

JOHN 16:13.
Howbeit when he, the spirit of truth , is come ,he will guide you into all truth ; for he shall not speak of himself , but whatever he shall hear , that shall he speak ; and he will shew you things to come ( KJV ).

Jesus , before his death , gave the promise that the Holy Ghost would guide us into all the truth . This is what the Holy Ghost does in helping is arrive at the place of accurate bible explaination. The Holy Ghost does not give any other meaning to scripture apart from the intended meaning of the scriptures . The Holy Ghost does not contradict what is written . The Holy Ghost help us to get the meaning and the truth intention of the author of the bible text being studies . The Holy spirit guiding us into all truth does not mean he will guide us into a, special revelation or interpretation of any bible text . His guidance is always into the meaning a, particular bible text must have .That is why what is termed in some bible teaching as the spirit told me is a, no go area for proper bible explaination .

This does not mean that the Holy spirit does not talk to us . He speaks to us every day but does not in any way contracdict the written word . He shall shew you things to come " means that he will bring to our knowledge the full disclosure of God's fulfilled promises . We can not hide under the promise of the guidance of the Holy Ghost to interpret scriptures in an absurd manner . This is because , instead of following proper contextual explaination of scriptures, some people ignore the rules of comprehension to expect a, supernatural encounter to understand bible text . They often say that " I was praying and the Holy spirit gave me a, special explaination to this scriptures . Yes , the Holy spirit can help you understand a, bible text , but that understanding is not different from the understanding the author had when writing the text of the scriptures .

The guidance of the spirit is also the proof that Jesus is still with us in the spirit just like he said he would be with us even unto the end of the age . This mean that Jesus is still teaching us by his spirit in us revelling unto us the father . If we observed Jesus very closely , he taught everything about God from the scriptures . This gives us the reason to approach the scriptures in all sanctity . Jesus did not throw away the scriptures to teach from the spirit . He referred to what was said by the prophets concerning him . This attitude we must have . Scriptures must be explained from the context of the author without giving it any special supernatural meaning that does not fit into the context of the passage .

CONFESSION: Thank you father for the Holy spirit in me , he is my guide into all of the truth . Amen .

THE BODY OF CHRIST.

1CORINTHOANS 12: 27
Now ye are the body of Christ , and members on particular ( KJV) .

A vital truth taught in the scripture is the assembly or the gathering of believers , also referred to today as the local church . The importance of the local church cannot be overemphasize , as it forms the basis for interpersonal relationships among believers , and most importantly as taught by the apostle in their Epistle . The body of Christ is the local church of the living God , the called out ones , the saints in Christ . The body of Christ is not the physical body or the flesh of Jesus rather the church . We have the church universal , which is referred to as the church or the body of Christ , and we have the local church which is the assembly at a , particular place with a, particular leader . The purpose of the local church is to equip the saints to do the work of the ministry .

Paul speaking in Ephesians 4:11-14 " And he gave some , apostle and some prophet ; and some , evangelist, and some pastors and teachers , for the perfecting of the saints , for the work of the ministry , for the edifying of the body of Christ : Till we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the son of God , unto a, perfect man , unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ ; That we henceforth be no more children , toss to and fro , and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the sleight of men , and cunning craftiness whereby they lie in wait to deceive "

This is the purpose of the local church . The ministry is to build the body of Christ , that is fulfil Matthew 28:18-20 , raising disciples . This means , that the local church is the plan of God for every believer . The moment a, man is saved , the next step is to belong to a, local church to be trained , equip mature to do the work of the ministry . Remember we are the body of Christ and every joint must be available to supply the necessary support for the general growth of the body . These things cannot be achieved via the internet . The local church can be described as the gathering of believers who are members of the church universal in a, particular location at a, particular time and on particular days in the week and every believer MUST belong to one .

CONFESSION : I am part of the body of Christ, and available to be trained to do the work of the ministry .

MISUNDERSTANDING OF GOD .

Many Christians doesn't , known God because they read the bible across . If you read bible across, you can seen that , in the old testament God is vengeance God and the new testament God is merciful God but never true . Bible said , the son and father are one and He also said , I am God who changes not .

The only place to known God is the holy scriptures , because the scriptures contains christ .
Bible said , And that from a, child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus . Vs 16, All scriptures is given by inspiration of God , and is profitable for doctrine , for reproof , for correction , for instructions in righteousness: Vs 17, That the man of God may be perfect , throughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timo 3 15-17 .

Though all scriptures is given by inspiration , profitable for doctrine , reproof and instructions in righteousness but we must rightly divide it .
Bible said , search the scriptures , for in them ye think ye have eternal life : and they are they which testify of me . John 5:39 .
Everything the prophets spoken was concerning christ but they wouldn't understand it because it was spoken unto them in divers manners , symbolism and figured of speech etc.

Bible said , Then he said unto them , O fools and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken : Vs 26, ought not christ to have suffered these things , and to enter into his glory ?
Vs 27, And beginning at moses and all the prophets , he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself . Luke 24:25 -27 .
Even in the old testament , the prophets who prophesied about christ , didn't known him because they were inspired by the spirit .
Bible said , Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently , who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you . 1 peter 1:10 ,

Bible said , I have also spoken by the prophets , and I have multiplied visions and used similitudes , by the ministry of the prophets . Hosea 12 : 10 . What prophet hosea was saying is that , we the prophets , our messages was concerned christ and he is not yet to come , so we need to made symbols of Christ to communicate the gospel to the children of israel .
Christ have limited angels and made them messager in the new testament .
Bible said , For if the word spoken by angels was sedfast ,and every transgressions and disobedience received a, just recompense of reward .heb 2:2 .
Bible said , Are they not all ministering spirits , sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation ? Heb 1:14 .

Bible said , And the father himself , which hath sent me , hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time , nor seen his shape .
What Jesus was saying is that , I and my father are one , what I do , he does and what I can't do , he can't do .
Bible said , But when the fullness of the time , was come , God sent forth his son , made of a, woman , made under the law . Gal 4:4 .
Bible said , No man hath seen God at any time : the only begotten son , which is in the boson of the father , he hath declared him . John 1:18 .

Bible said, All things are delivered unto me of my father : and no man knoweth the son , but the father , neither knoweth any man the father , save the son , and he to whomsoever the son will reveal him . Matt 11:27 .
Bible said , I and my father are one . John 10:30 .
Bible said , And the angel of the lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a,bush and behold , the bush burned with fire , and the bush was not consumed .
Now let's move to the verse four , bible said , And when the lord saw that he turned aside to see , God called unto him out of the midst of the bush and said , moses , moses. Exd 3:2,4 .
Bible said , This moses whom they refused , saying who made thee a, ruler and a, judge ? the same did God send to be a, ruler and a, judge ?the same did God send to be a, ruler and a, deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush . Act 7:35 .

If you read carefully you can , seen that , God ordained angel to operate under the old testament and the children of israel seen the angel as God .
Bible said, so saul died for his transgressions which he committed against the lord , even against the word of the lord , which he kept not , and also for asking counsel of one that had a, familiar spirit , to enquire of it . Vs 14, and enquired not of the lord : therefore he slew him and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse . 1 chron 10:13 -14 .
Pastors and beloved , let's move into verse four and seen whether God kill saul or he died his own death .
Vs 4, Then said saul to his armourbearer , Draw thy sword , and thrust me through there with , lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me .

But his armourbearer would not , for he was sore afraid . So saul took a, sword , and fell upon it . Chron 10:4 .
Saul kill himself but since , the old testament people were serving God in rumour and rudiment , if any bad thing happened they say is God doing that but never true , is their imaginations .
Bible said , And again the anger of the lord was kindled against israel , and he moved David against them to say , Go, number israel and judah . 2 sam 24:1 .
Now let's seen , if it was the lord anger that move David to number the israel .
Bible said , And Satan stood up against israel , and provoked David to number israel . 1 chron 21:1 .
Have you seen what has happened , Satan was provoking David to number them but they are saying is God because they don't known the integrity of God .

Confession : I know God through the new testament because the new testament revealed Christ while the old testament conceived Christ .

WHY JESUS CAME TO DIE .

JOHN 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal and to kill and to destroy : I am come that they might have life , and that they might have it more abundantly . ( KJV)

Jesus christ did not come to die so we can have good behavior . He did not die so we can have money . He did not die so we can have good marriage or perform well in school . He did not come to die so that we can have power to work miracles . He did not come to die so that God can hear our prayers . These are all of good . These are all expressions of God's goodness to all creation . This is because a, person can have all these good things without being a, christian .

Jesus christ come to die and resurrected so that we can have forgoveness of sins and a, new life . He can purposely for the salvation of man from the power of sin which is death . He became as the Lamb of God . The wages of sin is death , therefore he became sin for us by substitution and died our death . Anything which was possible and available before his death was not part of the reasons Jesus died .

We also died with him by participation so that as he resurrected from death , we also resurrected with new life . Jesus came and achieved his purposed . Anybody who believe in him enjoys the benefits of why Jesus came . In him we have redemption which is the forgiveness of our sins . In him we have eternal life . Outside Jesus there is no life and no forgiveness of sins .

CONFESSION : Jesus died for me by substitution and I died to sin and rose with new life by participation.
