Beloved as we continue to build ourselves up to totally depend on God, this month we focus on the theme *THE WILL OF GOD FOR THE CHURCH* and our foundation scripture is from *Ephesians 4:11-13*.

As a church, God has purposed for us to dominate in all aspects of life (in raising families, in modeling Godly character, in doing business, in doing ministry etc...), but in order for that to manifest, it is important that we yield ourselves in obedience to His will. God is a God of Order and so He expects His Church to be orderly and His Word has made provision for us to live that Life He expects us to live. I believe that as we journey through the month and focus on this theme, the Holy Spirit will enlighten and quicken us to be a revived Church for the Glory and Praise of God our Father. Don't be left out👍🏽...

May the Lord Bless you and keep you safe in Jesus name, Amen!

Hello there dear brethren in Christ Jesus, we thank God for your life and I believe you are all doing well today. This is yet another day the Lord has made for us, we will be glad and rejoice in it.

Today in our spotlight scripture, we deem it as supporting to our recent studies which gave us insight on how we can be successful and prosper in our ways by Speaking, Meditating and Abiding by the Word of God. However, today's scripture takes us further to spell out some of the conditions or lifestyle we must give up or avoid in order to be successful and prosper as we apply our lives to God's Word.

1. WALK NOT IN THE COUNSEL OF THE UNGODLY:
Who is the ungodly? I like to simply refer to the ungodly as anyone or any group of people who oppose to the principles of God in deeds and in actions. The ungodly has no regard for the Word of God and as such live their lives anyhow. What today's scripture makes us understand that for us as Believers to be blessed and walk in the prosperity of God, we must ensure to do away with ungodly counsel. As a child of God where do you seek or take counsel from? We see in the book of Samuel where King saul at a point in time went seeking counsel from a fortune teller after his disobedience to the Word of God. There are some like saul today, who seek counsel from all sort of sources rather than the Counsel of the Holy Spirit. As a child of God, we must delight in the Word of God, for out of it comes every counsel we need to live a successful Christian life. Remember we learnt in one of our studies this week that, "All scriptures are given by the inspiration of God and is good for doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in Righteousness, making us complete and equipping us for every good work". Hence, when our hearts are troubled and we no longer have answers to some of life's challenging problems, whom you seek counsel or help from is vital to how you prevail in the end; and as Believers I entreat us to always seek the Word of God, Seek the counsel of the Holy Spirit and we will surely prosper in all our ways.

2. STAND NOT IN THE WAY OF SINNERS:
Sin as we have come to understand destroys us and destroys the relationship we have with God. The impact of sin if not repented from, can ruin an entire generation. According to Isaiah 59:2 which says, "But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear." Sin separates us from God and once we are separated from God His Word seizes to function in our lives. That is how come one can sin and it becomes difficult to study the Word, pray, fast, worship or do anything Spiritual. Think of it as this: As Righteousness builds us to grow even stronger in Christ, sin weakens our spiritual muscles and the more you sin, the more weaker you become. Sin hinders our prayers or our cry from being heard and so today's scripture encourages us that if we want to flourish and prosper in life, we must avoid sin. Many people today would have been greater or become more successful and prosperous had it not been for sin. The Bible says in the book of Romans 6:23 that, "For (A)the wages of sin is death, but (B)the [a]gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." And as we have seen in today's scripture, when we avoid walking or standing in the path of sinners, we become like trees planted by rivers of water, a very good indication of eternity as it goes on to say for shall bring forth fruits in its season and our leaves shall not with but prosper in all that we do. When we say we do not sin we deceive ourselves but the goodnews is that God has made available provisions for us to reconcile back with Him and one of the provisions is for us to go back to the study of the Word, Meditate on it always and apply our lives to all that is written in it and by that we are able to live a righteous life. And just as we saw in one of our scripture studies earlier this week, when we apply ourselves to His Word and allow His Word to gain access into our lives, His light is cast on us and shines on our path making every darkness disappear and enabling us to walk in His Righteousness.Hence, as a child of God, sin is not an option; avoid walking in the path of sin and always study, Meditate, Speak and abide by the Word of God and you shall have good success and prosper in all your ways.

3. SIT NOT IN THE SEAT OF THE SCORNFUL:
Who is a scorner? Simply anyone who opposes the Word of God. When you find yourself opposing to what God has instructed in His Word you end up becoming His enemy. Remember the Bible says "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and THE WORD WAS GOD...." God himself is His Word and so to oppose His Word is to oppose Him. No one has ever opposed God and prevailed. Hence as a believer, as we study and Meditate on His Word we must believe in Him and be able to even advocate for the Word; in other words, be witnesses to His Word, telling people of His goodness and kindness. When we avoid the seat of the scornful and seek for God believing that He is, all His promises are Yes and Amen, He diligently rewards us; and part of those rewards is what we see in today's scripture which says He will cause us to prosper in whatever we do.

As the Word of God comes to you today, I want to encourage you to take your time and ponder deep in it, ask the Spirit of God to help you refrain or walk away from every evil counsel, sinful lifestyles and scornful character. It is my prayer for you that as you study the Word of God and Meditate on it always, may you be like a tree planted by rivers of water and may you continually flourish and prosper in all you do in Jesus name, Amen. God bless and have a wonderful day. Shalom!

Grace and Peace of Our Lord Jesus Christ be unto you all. Today as we take a look at another life transforming Word from the scripture, we are believing God with you that you shall be blessed in Jesus name.

Throughout the week we have been studying on the transforming power of God's Word and I believe that putting all we have studied in the course of the week as captured in the spotlights, we can trace the link with each one of those scriptures and how effective and impacting they can be for us if we apply our hearts to them.

Today's scripture however, also gives us further understanding to the subject of valuing the word of God in our lives. To prevail in our walk as children of God in this world, we can't afford to live our lives anyhow; and by living a life worthy and acceptable to God, He also presents us with greater and Glorious opportunities for success. One key take-home lesson we can draw from yesterday's SOS is that, "God is very much interested in our success and productivity in life and for that reason, He has made available His Word to enhance our capacity to live a greater life." God wants us to succeed in every area of our lives as His children. As a matter of fact, as a believer, failure is not an option and not a part of God's plans for you. He has said in His Word according to Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, TO GIVE YOU A FUTURE AND A HOPE." The intentions or motives of God for His people are genuinely good and as we see at the latter part of the scripture in Jer. 29:11, He says His intentions are to give you and I a future and a hope; what I like to call Success.

Take a look in our world today, many of the people we qualify as successful are the ones we project to have cars, mansions, good paying jobs, big companies, and so on. However, while all these are good and in fact God wants you to have them all and in abundance, the success God promises His children goes beyond just material things. And so it is good to go to school and study or work hard all the way up to success, but as a believer and a child of God, you must also apply your hearts to the knowledge of His Word which then equips you for every good work and are also made complete. Think of it this way; the knowledge, wisdom and understanding we receive from God's Word empowers us to succeed both Spiritually and Physically in every aspect of our lives. Remember the Bible says in the book of John 1:1-4 that "...all things were made by Him (The Word) and nothing was made or has been made without Him..." {emphasis}. So if God by His Word created this entire world and all that's in it, will it be wrong to say that by His Word, we as His children are able to succeed in everything we do? Absolutely Not!

The Bible makes us understand that The Word of God is sharp and active, meaning that His Word carries power and is potent to fulfill all He has said according to your belief in Him. And so in our Spotlight scripture today, we are encouraged once again by God's Word about the need to not just Study but also speak His Word at all times and meditate in it not just in the morning but all throughout the day (Day and Night). And He Goes further to say that, there's a secret to being successful by applying yourself to His Word and that is TO DO ACCORDING TO ALL THAT IS WRITTEN IN IT. Just take a moment to think about that point. So here, what God is telling or wants us to understand in today's scripture is that, success don't just come by studying, meditating and speaking the Word of God alone, but rather making sure to obey and do according to all that He says. And the concluding part gives a clearer picture of what life will be for whoever abides by His Word, He says such a person shall make his/her ways prosperous and also have good success. Isn't this awesome? Hallelujah!

So the antidote to failure in life is to Subscribe your life to the Word of God, allow the Spirit of God to guide and teach you by revealing even deeper truths, meditate on the Word at all times, always speak the Word and most important of all, obey and abide by His Word and these shall make you prosper and succeed.

We want to pray and believe God with you that as you dedicate yourself to His Word in obedience and live by His Word, may He endow your path with Good success and prosperity in Jesus name. God bless you and have a wonderful day. Shalom!

Shalom dear Believers. Thanks be to God our Father through Christ our Lord and Savior by the Spirit of God our helper and comforter for the wonderful opportunity given us this day to commune in His Word.

Today's spotlight scripture can be referred to as a continuation of our studies these past days. And as we have been studying more on the Word of God, we have come to appreciate the efficacy and potency the Word of God has in our lives as Believers. Today as we focus on the scripture captured in the spotlight, we can understand and appreciate how God not only want us to be Holy, but also wants us to be productive in life. God uses so many ways to chastise and train us as His children and one of the ways is by His Word. His word, upon revealing light into our lives and being a guide for us to follow in our Walk with Him, also indoctrinates us and free us from every false doctrines surrounding us today. In other words, the Word of God teaches us the truth of whatever was, is and is to come. And as the scripture says in John 8:32, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free", the Word of God which is Truth is able to free us from every false teachings and save us from the path of destruction.

As said earlier, the Word of God is one of the many tools the Lord uses to shape us to be able to live and walk as children of light and not of darkness, that's why we read in today's scripture that it is able to instruct us in Righteousness and also correct us. In the Bible as David the king sinned against God, God sent His Word through the Prophet Nathan to caution him. Remember from our previous scriptures in the past days, we studied that the entrance of His Word brings light and so in the case of David, the Word of God which came through Nathan the Prophet, came to shed light on the darkness that had captivated David and correct him of his ways, therefore leading him to repent.

As Believers, we notice that sometimes we do wrong in the sight of God and just as we spend time to study and meditate on His Word, our mistakes and sins are being projected in our hearts and at that point we begin to ask for forgiveness and then turn away from it. Such is the power in the Word of God: it is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in Righteousness. Now another aspect we need to appreciate about today's scripture is that, we have come to know that the Word of God is able to guide us and also transform our lives and part of the transformational capacity of the Word of God is that it equips us thoroughly to be effective and productive in every good work.

As Believers and children of God, He is very much interested in our success and productivity in life and for that reason, He has made available His Word to enhance our capacity to live a greater life. Finally and most important of all, we must recognize that the Word of God is not just set of rules or instructions laid down for traditional practices; but we must rather understand that the Word of God is the outpouring of His Spirit such that anytime we encounter His Word, there's a transformation, there's creation, there's impartation, there's healing, deliverance, comfort and we find help as well. The opening of today's scripture says, "All scripture is given by the inspiration of God", and the inspiration of God comes through His Spirit. As it is written in 2 Peter 1:21, "prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as there were inspired/moved by the Holy Spirit." And we see in Revelation 19:10e, "The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy", and if Jesus is the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus (the Word of God) is the Spirit of Prophecy, then the holy men of God spoke by inspiration of the Spirit of God. It is the Spirit of God that propels the life in His Word into our lives, making manifest the power of the Word in our lives. That is why the scripture according to 2 Corinthians 3:6, "the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life" The Word of God is backed by His Spirit and so whenever we receive His Word into our hearts, we make room for His Spirit to work in us, aligning us to His truths and helping us to live a productive Christian life.

Therefore, as Christians, we cannot afford to trivialize the power of the Word of God and the capacity with which He caries to transform our lives completely; but rather with all meekness we must receive and apply our hearts and lives to the Wisdom principles we are presented with if we can prevail and be victorious over the issues of life. It is our prayer that as you encounter with the Lord through His Word, He will pour out more of His Spirit into you and empower you for exploits in every area of your life in Jesus name, Amen. God bless and have a wonderful day.

Shalom dear Believers in Christ Jesus. Today is yet another opportunity to feed on the Word of God and as our Spotlight Scriptures for the past days have highlighted, we have come to understand and appreciate how instrumental the Word of God is in our lives and how effective it is in guiding us through our journey in this world.

Today, we want to take a look at another Scripture that enlightens us on the transformational power of the Word of God; this the Word's ability to set us apart from sin. The Bible according to Isaiah 59:2 makes us to understand that it is by our iniquities that we are separated from God and by our sins, His face is hidden from us so that when we call on Him, He will not hear us. However, according to John's account in the book of John 14:21, he says, "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and [a]manifest Myself to him."

How do we know that we Love God and that God Loves us back, we know this when we obey and abide by His Word which is His will for us as His children. From Isaiah's account, we can understand that many people in the world today (especially some Believers), have departed from the presence of God and as a matter of fact, have lost divine connection with Him as a result of sin and iniquities. And from today's spotlight scripture, we have come to understand that one major factor to which a believer can be separated from God and loose divine connection through sin is when the Word of God is absent from our hearts.

The book of Proverbs 4:23 says, "Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life." This stands to reason that, the heart is inarguably the most vital part of our lives, not only supporting us to live but also having the capacity to shape the entire outcome of our lives and hence, depending on the kind of stuff that get stored up in there will determine the life product that one becomes or the fruits one bear. And so we are being admonished to keep our hearts with all diligence and not just some level of diligence so as to be able to produce fruits worth tasting for all --- but to do this, we as Believers must at all times study, meditate and store up the Word in our hearts.

From the psalmist's account, as he hides or accumulate or store up the word of God in his heart, he becomes more and more conscious of sin and as such is able to refrain and control himself from it. Hence the only way we can transform a sinful generation into a Godly generation is to spread the Word of God, Evangelize the Word to people whether young or old and teach of the essence to which individuals, families and churches must place key emphasis on studying, meditating and abiding of/by the Word of God.

The scripture according to 2 Timothy 3:16-17 makes us understand that for the man of God (also the child of God) to be equipped for manifesting good works, he or she ought to submit to the Word God which is endowed with His very Spirit for correction, instruction in Righteousness as well as reproof {emphasis}. Hence to live a productive Christian life, devoid of sin and pleasing to God as Believers, we must not only study the Word, but also Hold them up in our hearts and consistently and dedicatedly live by His Statutes and instructions.

Finally, the Word of God which brings light into our lives and also lighten our path reveals every sin that is hidden in our hearts and by that we are able to repent and reconcile with God again. Remember that scripture records in the book of Proverbs 23:7a saying, "As he thinks in his heart, so is he". Which means, if the thoughts in ones heart are full of sin and evil, such a person tend to live a sinful life and so is he who holds up Holy thoughts in his heart able to live a Holy life. Sin drags us into the darkness making us filthy and full of wickedness, but when we receive with all meekness the engrafted Word of God, we become saved {emphasis} [James, 1:21].

We want to believe God with you in prayer that even as we have received His Word today and every other day in our hearts, He will help us to guard our hearts with all diligence that we may not sin against Him and disconnect from His Wonderful Presence in the name of Jesus Christ. God bless you as you study deeper into today's spotlight scripture and meditate on it. Have a wonderful day.

Shalom Fellow Believers in Christ, We thank God for yet another day and the Gracious opportunity to feast on His Word. Today's Spotlight scripture presents us with another important benefit of applying ourselves to the effective study and meditation of the Word of God.

Yesterday we saw from Psalm 119:130 that as the Word of God enters the heart of the believer, not only is knowledge imparted but also, every aspect of the Believers life receives illumination; bringing to light what has been captivated by darkness. But today's scripture according to Psalm 119:105 allows us to appreciate even more, the reason why we can't afford to sideline or shelve the Word of God if we are going to be able to survive in this world full of darkness.

And so as we study, meditate and apply the Word of God to our lives, He lightens up our path and gives us a clearer view of whatever lies ahead allowing us to prevail over darkness every step of our way.

As you enjoy the scripture for today, it is our humble prayer that the Lord God by His Spirit will pour out more of Himself into you and unveil His wondrous light to you, to guide you through every step of the way in the name of Jesus Christ. God bless and have a great day.

14/03/2021

Grace and Peace of Our Lord, be unto you. Today is yet another day the Lord has made and so we'll be glad and rejoice in it.

The scripture according to John 1:1-5 makes us understand that Jesus is the Word of God which existed before, during and after Creation and by Him (The Word), everything was made. Also in the Word (Jesus) was life and that life became the light of men. Glory be to God! When ever we approach the Word of God in fellowship, we ought to understand as Believers that we are entering into fellowship with Jesus and as He is the Word, according to our Spotlight scripture today, while we open up for Him (Jesus, The Word of God) to enter into our lives, we are being exposed to the life-producing light that flows through Him.

Another way to think of The Word of God bringing light is that, The Word of God is the fuel that keeps our light shining/brightening. The Scripture according to Matthew 5:14 makes us understand that we having received Jesus as our Lord and Savior have been transformed from darkness into light and as such have been light of this world, hence our light cannot be hidden but rather shine for all to see. It is for this reason that we must allow the Word of God to gain access and roots in our lives as Believers. The Bible makes us understand according to Matthew 25:1-13 {emphasis added} that 10virgins attended a wedding ceremony and 5 of them took along extra oil for their lamps so their light never does out while the other 5 went with no extra oil. Before the feast or the bridegroom arrived, the 5 who took no extra oil had their lights die out and left with no option whiles the other 5 had their lamps still burning bright. According to this scenario from the Bible and for the purpose of today's scripture, the 5 who took extra oil represents those who having light from the Word of God, still store up more word through studying of the scripture and meditation as well; this allows them to always stay lit and bright amidst every darkness, because according to John's disposition, darkness comprehends not the light we have in Jesus (The Word) whereas those who carried no extra oil represents those who for a moment receives the light but makes no effort to store up more in their hearts through the studying and meditation of the Word of God and as such are easily overwhelmed and overpowered by the darkness of this world.

Therefore as children of God, we ought to make it our daily habit to study the word of God and meditate on it so that the fire in us will continue to burn and the light in us continue to shine even brighter. If we want to see the light of God manifest in every dark situation in our lives, we must present ourselves to His Word in Studies and meditation always, and just as we do this, according to Joshua 1:8, by it we shall obtain good success.

It is our prayer for you reading this today, that even as you avail yourself to His Word, may the Lord God also unveil His wonderful light that overcomes every darkness in every area of your life in Jesus name. It is our prayer also that the Spirit of God will Strengthen and quicken us to be able to present ourselves to His Word, observing a healthy devotional life with Him as Believers in Jesus name, Amen. God bless you and enjoy the rest of your day. Shalom!

13/03/2021

Shalom dear believers, Grace and Peace of our Lord Jesus be unto us all. Today's another opportunity for us to admonish ourselves in the Word of God, and as the spotlight captures the scripture for today we are being reminded or informed on the importance for believers to coexist in unity. In today's world full of chaos, distractions, confusions, and hatred amongst others, our spotlight scripture today is encouraging us the essence for believers to dwell in unity.

We also find in scripture similar importance placed on being among the saints (believers) and never forsaking their gathering (Hebrews 10:25). We must therefore understand that for Believers to triumph over challenges this world present us, we ought to dwell in unity and as we see in the scripture, the Lord commands blessings when we dwell together in unity or one accord; thinking as one. What do we see in today's churches across the globe? Division upon division, now you see believers backbiting fellow believers, some 'men of God' fighting each other, and all sort of things.

However, as children of light our ways and deeds are supposed to cast light unto the darkness of this world so as to draw more people into the light, and by this many will be drawn to the light and not vice versa. Hence, we as individuals, in our small gatherings must ensure this unity and as it develops it spreads and by the time we know it's all over. Remember, the power of the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples of Jesus when they had all gathered 'IN ONE ACCORD (UNITY)' and when they had received power, scripture records that just that day alone saw tremendous impact being made and from that day the we still experience such impact.

If a revival will start and spread, it must start from within the walls of the church and in one accord; for as the scripture says in Matthew 18:19, “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." Unity is essential for believers to make impact, progress and triumph, particularly in our world today. Therefore, let us all in our own efforts spark up this unity in our homes, schools, communities, workplaces, market centers, churches and everywhere we find ourselves in the world so that unbelievers may see, attest and move away from the dark into the light.

It is our prayer today that even as you spend time reading and meditating on today's spotlight scripture, the God of peace will flood your life, your home, ministry, marriage, etc. with His Peace that surpasses every understanding in Jesus name 🙏🏽. Stay blessed and have a wonderful weekend.

In today's SOS, we are being encouraged on why it is important for A Child of God or the believer to commit himself or herself to the Word of God. As we see in Scripture, according to Hosea 4:6, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:..." This helps us to Understand today's scripture study better in the sense that, As we study and dedicate ourselves to the Word of God, obeying and doing rightly what He says, we are equipped with knowledge to rightly ascertain what is right from wrong and also effectively living up to our call as workmen of God on Earth. It is our prayer that even as you study the scripture for today and meditate on it, the Spirit of God will bring deeper enlightenment to your Spirit and reveal more truth to you to help Strengthen and boost your walk with God in Jesus name. God bless you and have a wonderful day, Shalom!
