THE DEVIL'S PRIMARY WEAPON
To determine a person's strength, you must give him work. The force with which that person will use to perform that work will determine his strength. In Genesis chapter three, the devil made perhaps his greatest attack on Humanity. He successfully brought about the fall of man. How did he do this? By using his most efficient and effective weapon which is DECEPTION.
Deception is the devil's primary weapon because when a person is successfully deceived, he destroys himself by his own actions. That was what happened in Genesis. Adam and Eve willingly ate the fruit and and brought God's wrath upon themselves when they were deceived. Deception works this way: a person is made to see wrong things as right. An action that will be harmful will become safe to a deceived person. For instance, a fruit which God had boldly declared harmful to Adam and Eve became good to eat when they were deceived(Genesis 3:6). The devil doesn't have to continue working on you when you are deceived. Your own actions will destroy you. Hmmmmm May God help us!
Many people today are living their lives in deception. People are engaged in activities that are destroying them day in day out. But they continue to do so because they think it is right. Many people are deceived. It is important to consider your way of life and compare it to the word of God. It is only by that way that you will know whether you are being deceived or not(2Corinthians 13:13). Remember that the devil comes to steal, kill and destroy. So every action that is stealing you from God, killing you or destroying you is the work of the devil. Do not be deceived. Look at the passage below:
But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.(Genesis 3:3-6)
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.(Revelations 12:9)
The devil is a deceiver.
