A preacher was driving home one night with his wife and two daughters in the car. It was dark, raining and intensely so and the pastor could hardly see past his headlights.

On the way he had to drive over a huge bridge. There were posted signs
"DO NOT PICK UP HITCH-HIKERS."

By the base of the bridge, there was an institution for the criminally insane and sometimes people would escape from it and try to catch a ride.

On this night, as the pastor slowly approached the bridge, a man suddenly appeared in the headlights.
He was soaked, standing in the middle of the road, frantically waving his shirt over his head and screaming.

The preacher's wife cautioned her husband,
"Oh please don't stop, try to drive around him!"

But the car was too close, the man was unavoidable, except to stop or drive over him.

As soon as the Pastor stoped, the man slapped his hand down on the hood of the car and continued screaming, at the top of his lungs, unabated.

The preacher felt something in his spirit, looked over to his wife and told her to lock the door after him and to not unlock it until he had returned.

His family understandably perturbed and crying, pleaded with him not to get out of the car.

He opened the door and stepped outside... He was immediately soaked from the rain.

As he approached the man, all of a sudden he could make out what the man was screaming,

"THE BRIDGE IS OUT! THE BRIDGE IS OUT! A BUS JUST WENT OVER INTO THE WATER!!!"

As these words registered in the pastor's mind, he looked back in the car at his wife and two daughters. He wrapped his arm around the man and wept in gratitude.

The preacher stood there with the man for the next half-hour in the middle of the road, waving his jacket above his head screaming to warn other commuters.

"STOP!!!!! THE BRIDGE IS OUT! THE BRIDGE IS OUT!"

For a lost and a dying world,
"THE BRIDGE IS OUT!"

For a people heading to a Christless Eternity,
"THE BRIDGE IS OUT!"

Where are the men and the women who will stand in the middle of the road and forbid people, not to perish?

HELL HAS OPENED IT'S MOUTH WIDE AND SADLY MANY ARE SPEEDING INTO IT.

Where are those who will stand in the gap, on the streets, the highways and the byways to forbid multitudes with the Gospel of *JESUS CHRIST*, to warn others from going to such a horrible place?

Please SPREAD THE GOSPEL TODAY.

Remember JESUS Loves us all and wants nothing, absolutely nothing but that we be saved ....

Please share this message to all your friends and even enemies, if any, both saved and unsaved.

*THE BRIDGE IS OUT* ..And Time is Running Out

If you choose not to share nothing will happen...
But let's assist others, since we're aware

*Be Blessed*

⛪🙏🏽📚 *BIBLE LESSONS FOR CHILDREN* 🧒🏾🧑🏽👦🏾👶🏽👧🏽👶🏾👧🏾

🔷 *THEME:* THE KING WHO ROSE🤴🏽

⚪ *TOPIC:* JESUS TALKS WITH PETER.

💡 *LESSON AIM*: For children to understand who Jesus is.

📖 *SCRIPTURE TEXT:* John 21:15-17

✝️ *MEMORY VERSE:* (For older children )
"I know that my Redeemer lives and that in the end, He will stand upon the earth. And I will see God. I myself will see Him with my own eyes." Job 19:25,27

(For younger children) "Lord, you know all things; you know that l love You" John 21:17b

📖✝️🙇🏽‍♀️ *LIFE APPLICATION:*
Last week we learnt how Jesus walked, talked and ate supper with the men on the road to Emmaus.
Today we will hear how Jesus talked with Peter.

Jesus met His disciples on the shore of the sea of Galilee, also known as Lake Tiberius. Jesus ate with them, after that that He asked Peter the same question thrice, "Peter do you love me?"

Jesus gave Peter three different ways to show his love for Jesus.

1. "Peter do you love me? Feed my lambs."
2. "Peter do you love me? Care for my sheep."
3. "Peter do you love me? Feed my sheep."

The lambs are Jesus' new followers who need God's Word (food) to grow. When they grow they become sheep and they need care and also more of God's Word (food) to grow.

Caring for the people Jesus loves is a way of showing Jesus you love Him too. We all need to feed on the word of God to grow in faith and wisdom. We must, therefore, study His word and share with young and old people.

🙏🏾 *PRAYER*: Lord Jesus help me to know more of your word to share with all manner of people as l wait for your second coming. Amen.

TEXT: 2 Cor. 13:14
THEME: Fellowship of The Holy Spirit

14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Does your heart yearn to know the fellowship of the Holy Spirit and to discover what that means at its deepest level? Do you long for greater sensitivity to the Holy Spirit?

As prophetic people, we are wired for a close relationship with God. This is the place where we become acquainted with Him, His ways and His voice.

That drawing and pull you feel towards Him, is a gift from your Heavenly Father; it is your invitation to fellowship with Him.

Paul’s second letter to the church in Corinth closes with this word of blessing (2 Cor 13:14):

_‘May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.’_

Our first clue to what the ‘fellowship of the Holy Spirit’ means, comes from the Greek word translated ‘fellowship’ in this Scripture verse. It is ‘koinonia’, which means: communion, partnership and participation.

There is a meaning, inherent in this verse, that the Holy Spirit is commonly shared among all believers. On a personal level, to have fellowship with the Holy Spirit is to commune with Him. It is to be actively engaged in relationship with Him is to partner with Him.

Following are 3 keys to help you have intimate fellowship with the Holy Spirit, and go deeper in your relationship with Him.

1. Fellowship with the Holy Spirit by Appreciating Him as a Person

Have you ever noticed how many movies portray ordinary people, who have supernatural powers? It is interesting that science fiction writers point to some physical, impersonal thing, like radiation or a mutant gene, as the source of a superpower.

At Pentecost, the believers were not waiting for a power, a radiation or an ability—they were waiting for a Person. The power came with the Person of the Holy Spirit—someone with Whom they could fellowship and do life, ministry and mission together.

‘And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.’ (John 14:16-17, NKJV)

When Jesus said ‘another’, the Greek word ‘allos’ meant ‘another the same as’; ‘the same sort’. He went on to say, ‘I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.’ (John 14:18) Jesus was saying, ‘the Holy Spirit will be with you just as I have been with you.’

Throughout the Book of Acts, we see the Person of the Holy Spirit actively present—leading, speaking, and manifesting.
‘And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.’ (Eph 4:30)

The Holy Spirit has a mind, will, emotions, and a voice. The Holy Spirit is God, up close and personal. And we can have a relationship with Him.

TEXT: Matthew 5:13
THEME: Agents of Change

13 ”You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.

Salt is added to a meal to taste. After putting all the choicers ingredients together to prepare a meal, it takes the presence of salt to bring out the flavour of every ingredient in it. And that is who we are as saints of God.

We Christian are the salt of the Earth as indicated by the Lord Jesus in our text today, meaning we are the agents of change; hence, we are expected to influence the people around us to bring out the best in them to make the world a better place.

As Christians, we are expected to influence our immediate society with our good attitudes, conducts, morals, characters, acts of kindness and every godly virtue the scriptures teach.

We are not here on Earth to blot out the colours and flavours around us. We are not here to ignore or destroy what we see and replace it with something else. Rather, we are to be (tasty) ambassadors of Christ on a mission to draw out and display goodness.

God made a good world, and, though fallen, we still have the Spirit of God inside us Who can help us bring out the best out of the world He created. So let's remember to point to the truth and be the people who enhance and brighten wherever we go, not overpower our surroundings like too much pepper.

TEXT: Psalm 91:1-8
THEME: The Lord Is Your Protection.
.

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord , “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

To dwell in the shelter of the Most High is to be in the Presence of God. And since God is everywhere, His presence can be appropriated wherever we find ourselves. Be it at home, work place, farm, market etc. All we have to do is to live with the consciousness that He is with us.

The Most High God offers protection to those who dwell in His presence. He protects them by being their Refuge and their Fortress and expect them to Trust Him for that. (v. 2)

As Refuge and fortress, He saves those who dwell in His presence and trust Him from all harm including deadly deseases such as COVID-19. (v. 3)

He is also a covering to those in His presence against all forms of attacks. (v. 4-8)
Although they shall witness the defeat of many all around them, God promises not to let such things come near them.

I hereby prophesy into your life that though all the people in your community may be infected with the novel coronavirus, it will never come near your home; for the Lord Most High is your protection.

TEXT: Matthew 7:24-27
THEME: Will Your Anchor (⚓)Hold ?

24 ”Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.

26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.

27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

From the text above, which builder are you and I? The one who builds on the rock or the one who builds on sand.

The rock is our Lord Jesus who is the solid foundation on which we should build our Christian Life in order to stand the test of time.

We do this by putting the word of God into practice in our daily lives.
Remember the rain and the Strom came on both buildings and the one that had the rock as its foundation stood but the other fell greatly.

This means no one is exempted from the storms of life (hardships, difficult times, persecutions, etc)in christianity

Let us therefore be doers of God's word so that we will have an Anchor to keep our souls steadfast and sure whilst the billows roll, grounded to the rock which cannot move.

*WORDS FROM THE GREAT HEALER*
“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”( 2Chronicles 7:14)

I am not suggesting that the coronavirus is God’s judgment on us as a nation, nor on the entire world for its wicked ways. I believe God is far more concerned with our individual hearts than our national and world politics.

This verse reinforces that God wants His people to be humble turn from their sins and dependent on Him. He is the Gentle Healer and the Great Physician. He can heal individually, as well as heal nations physically, economically, spiritually. But He desires we call out to Him for help.

Trust what He is allowing in the world, in our country, in our local community, and in our family, and personal life. And cry out to Him for healing of ourselves and our land.

He is the Great Healer; may He heal us and our land as well in Jesus' Might Name.

*PROOF THAT GOD IS IN THE DETAILS*
(Matt. 6:25-27)
In this passage, Jesus assures believers that it is not our obligation to worry, but to trust Him to care for every detail of ourlives.

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?”

Jesus continues to assure us in verses 31-33: “Therefore, do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the [unbelievers] seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Jesus summed up His command by saying: “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow…(verse 33).

In spite of the worry, fear or panic that might come naturally to you right now, look to the Supernatural God who can give you peace that passes understanding (Phillippians 4:6), and the assurance that He is in absolute control.

EVIDENCE THAT GOD CONTROLS THE EARTH'S ELEMENTS
In Mark 4:35-41, Jesus’ disciples were scared that a storm on the sea would overturn their boat and they would all drown. So, they woke up Jesus, who had been asleep in the bottom of the boat. Jesus rebuked the wind and the waves with the simple but powerful words “Quiet! Be still!”

Scripture tells us “Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.” Then Jesus said to His disciples “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” Their response was terror as they asked “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”

In this story, we are assured that God controls the elements of the earth. The wind and the waves obey Him. So do the winds and currents of disease, the laws of nature, the cycle of life and death. He is able to calm the storms on the sea, as well as the storms in you and me.

“Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” (verse 40). Jesus was right there in the boat with them, and was perfectly capable of getting them safely to where they needed to go.

Jesus is right here with us, too. Be encouraged. The God who can still the wind and the waves can still this situation as soon as He deems it is time.
May every stormy situation in your life be Still.
