He has a robe of honor; He has a ring of authority. When you really know who your Heavenly Father is, you’ll go to Him with confidence, knowing that He accepts you—faults and all. He has mercy for your mistakes. He’s not in the judging business; He’s in the restoring business.

You may have promises that you’ve believed for a long time, dreams God put in your heart. Every circumstance says, “It’s never going to happen. What you’re believing for is dead. You would have seen some improvement, some growth.” Don’t believe those lies. Keep thanking God that it’s coming, keep talking like it’s on the way, keep expecting things to change in your favor. Our attitude should be, “What I’m believing for may look dead, but I know what God promised me is still alive. I’m not moved by what I feel. I’m not moved by what’s not working out, by how long it’s been, by what hasn’t improved. I know what God started in my life He will finish. I know what He promised me will come to pass.”

If you’re going to reach your destiny, you have to get good at ignoring things. Ignore negative comments, ignore disrespect, ignore insults, ignore the naysayers. They don’t control your destiny. They are distractions trying to keep you from God’s best. Instead of being upset over who’s not for you and frustrated over who’s trying to make you look bad, ignore them. Jealous people can’t keep you from your destiny; small-minded people can’t stop your purpose. That’s not a battle you have to fight.

Sometimes we don’t recognize who we are. We have all this potential on the inside, these God-given dreams and abilities. But often, our circumstances, other people, our own thoughts tell us that we’re ordinary, limited, we can’t do anything significant. We go through life with little dreams, feeling unqualified, praying that someone else will make a difference, someone else will push our family forward. I’m saying, “You’re the one that you’re praying for. You’re the one that can leave your mark. You have greatness in you. You have ideas, creativity.” There is favor on your life. There are doors God will open that will thrust you further. You may not see how it can happen. Every thought says, “You’re limited; you’re stuck. The giant is too big; the dream is too great.” That’s okay. That’s when God steps in. He’ll breathe in your direction and give you favor, ability, and blessings that will take you where you can’t go on your own.
