There are two types of revelation when it comes to studying the Bible or the Word of God. Number one is the revelation that brings understanding into the context of the story, psalm, letter, declaration or sermon one is reading. The other is the revelation of what God is saying specifically to the reader on what he/she is reading; line upon line. The latter is greater.

Many of God’s revelations, blessings and gifts are released during worship. A time of worship is a time of business with God. Never allow yourself to be distracted when you worship.

There is a reason the Bible tells us to pray without ceasing in 1 Thessalonians 5:17.

The Word is supposed to be your firm foundation but daily or consistent prayer is how you build the house. Do not see prayer as something we do only when believers meet together but prayer is how we live.

This is how many miss the voice of God or what He tries to communicate to them. There’s a similarity between the inability to discern the voice of God and how the Jews rejected Jesus and His gospel. The prophets had told them of a Messiah to come and they were expectant of His coming. John the Baptist, a man revered by many of the Jews as a prophet of God also revealed Jesus to them as the Messiah. However, they never accepted Him because He looked too ordinary.

Many are missing what God is telling them daily because this inner voice sounds and feels ordinary. Nothing spectacular.
