Biography of Prophet Joseph Billa
He was born in 24th June to Mr. James Sebig Billa, a Principal Technical Agric Extension Officer of blessed memory and Mrs. Hannah Billa, a petty trader. Both parents are Ghanaians. His mother hails from Duusi and his father from Gaare in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region of Ghana.
Prophet Billa comes from Gaare in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region of Ghana. He is the second child of five children of his parents. He attended Sheaga primary, Duusi primary and Gaare-Gbane primary school.
One might wonder why he attended three primary schools. His siblings were leaving Sheaga Primary to Duusi Primary School on transfer and he joined them. However, when he realized Duusi primary was not a beneficiary of the USAID food program, he decided after the end of that term to return to Sheaga primary school where the pupils were fed with sorghum. In 1999, a primary school was established in his community. He was therefore transfered to Gaare-Gbane Primary School (the new school in his community). He attended Gaare-Gbane JHS and proceeded to Bolgatanga Senior High School also known as “Bigboss” where he studied General Arts. While at Bigboss, he held many positions in the Scripture Union (SU).
He had his university education at University for Development Studies ( UDS) at Wa, Upper West region of Ghana where he studied Integrated Development Studies with Economics and Entrepreneurship Development Option.
Throughout his stay in the University, he was an active member of the Assemblies of God Campus Ministry (AGCM) where he was part of the mission team and established many Assemblies of God Churches in the Upper West Region of Ghana.
He got born again in Deeper Life in 1993 and joined Assemblies of God in 1994 under the leadership of Rev. Thomas Yin and was baptized in 1999 by Rev. Samuel Lawaaba, Talensi District Assemblies of God’s Pastor and Duusi AG pastor. From his childhood, he has held many positions including being children's leader and youth president. He also helped establish many AG churches in Talensi district.
He was then often called Christ Ambassador.
He holds a Diploma in Theology from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Northern Campus, Kumbungu, Tamale.
HIS CALLING
Prophet Joseph Billa had several encounters with God through dreams, visions and trances. He was led by the Spirit of God to fast for one hundred (100) days in his final year in the University.
He embarked on campus revivals and crusades in almost every second cycle institution in Upper East region of Ghana. While still on the 100 days fasting and prayers, he evangalised in markets, hospitals, mechanic shops, hair salons and also on radio in the Bolgatanga municipal in 2011.
After his successful graduation from University in 2011, he was posted to Zorkor Senior High School .
He was led by the Spirit to established a church by name Amazing Power Church International (APCI) on 24th July, 2011 at the Comci Comca Hotel near Fire Service along the Bolga-Bawku road in the Bolgatanga municipal. The next Sunday, he could not pay for the venue (hotel) so he moved to Abilba Number 1 JHS along the Bolga-Bawku road, Sawaaba.
In November 2013, he moved to the People with Disabilities Resource Center at Bukere near the Lesken Main Depot.
In 2015, God gave them their own land called Power City at Bolga Soe where they worship currently.
His calling is centered on prophecy, healing, deliverance, breakthrough and the salvation of human souls.
His exploits, by the grace of God, cause so much disturbance and panic in the kingdom of Darkness such that the demons refer to him as "War man". This explains why he is also called Prophet War Man.
PROPHET BILLA ACHEIVEMENT
Through his visionary leadership and by the grace of God, he acquired a land and built a church auditorium where he holds church services weekly.
He also established Amazing Power TV in July 2019. Amazing Power TV is a satellite tv station, online and digital platform that broadcasts the church’s events including live services to over 17 West African countries while the online tv broadcasts to the whole world.
It is a purely Christian channel that shows christian documentaries, movies, live discussions with the aim of building the faith of believers in Christ Jesus. It is the first christian channel in the northern parts of Ghana.
He also founded Acts of Love Foundation in 2014. It is the charity wing of the ministry.
He has given a lot of scholarships to brilliant but needy students, paid hospital bills of the needy and also pays rents for widows.
A lot of motor bikes have been bought for pastors in the rural areas. The foundation is committed to feeding the poor, widows and orphans.
The foundation has empowered and supported many young ladies through handiworks such as; tailoring, weaving, hairdressing, etc. Many people would have been paralyzed if not for the prophet's absorption of the cost of surgeries for victims, many of whom are accident victims.
He has mentored and trained both local and international ministers of God in Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia and South Africa.
From a humble beginning of a small congregation in a classroom, he has by the grace of God been able to grow the congregation to a stupendous level such that he now has branches in most parts of Ghana. This is a testament of a good steward.
FAMILY LIFE AND HOBBIES
He is married to Mrs. Hilda Billa with two beautiful daughters, Juanita and Samantha.
Prophet Billa has travelled across the length and breadth of Ghana and beyond with prophetic revolution to manifest God’s Power and Glory to all nations.
Prophet Billa is an anointed Prophet and genuinely called by God.
He takes inspirations from Senior Prophet TB Joshua, Rev. Eastwood Anaba and Rev. Samuel Lawaaba.
He is a very calm gentleman; he loves to study and to listen to foreign gospel.
His favorite scripture is Acts 1:8 “but ye shall receive power, after that the holy ghost has come upon you and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judaea, and Samaria, and unto the outermost part of the earth".
