Romans 12:4-10
Talks about we having many parts in one body and also different spiritual gifts but all woking for one purpose and goal, so the workplace is more diverse than ever before, men and women from different age, ethnic, educational, religious and cultural background work together everyday to achieve a goal.
These differences can make it challenging to effectively communicate and coordinate efforts. Diversity in natural understanding yield benefit in organizational structure.
The speaker said and I quote" In our 21st century generation, diversity has become a tool for development in the world and our daily lives".
Migration of people from different backgrounds has brought the need for every leader to successfully accommodate and work with diverse people around the global world.
*THE NEED TO WORK WITH PEOPLE FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS*
1. To achieve a common goal with ideas from different background.
2. Working with people from diverse background add value and create inclusive environment as well as international recognition.
*HOW TO WORK WITH PEOPLE FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUND*
1. Share of goal: Goal sharing help workers or followers see themselves as a whole and not individual.
2. Sharing information: It is the basic tool in development and communication.
3. Practice patient with
subordinates and tolerate everyone.
4. Be open minded
5. Respect for all
6. Being mindful of the cultural background of others
7. Know people individual
8. Ask questions when the need arise
