On Friday, 30th January 2026 at 5:30pm, the RECOWA Youth Cross and Icons were joyfully received at Immaculate Conception Parish, Kpando, marking a spiritually uplifting moment for the Church and the youths in the Parish.
The sacred Cross and Icons, currently on rotation across parishes as a symbol of unity, renewal and youth commitment within the Catholic Diocese of Ho, were welcomed with reverence and enthusiasm by clergy, youth, and parishioners.
There was a solemn and prayerful procession through the principal streets of Kpando from Magret Marquart Catholic Hospital to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, filled with songs of praise.
The program included Rosary prayers, a talk on the theme by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Clemence Ashiara, and a presentation on youth participation by Mr. Pious Tefe, encouraging young people to take an active role in the life of the Church.
The faithful also took part in the veneration of the Cross and the consecration of the youth to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, entrusting their lives to her guidance.
The celebration concluded with final blessings by Rev. Fr. Anthony Azah, Parish Priest of St. Raphael Quasi Parish, Kpando Dzoanti.
Over 200 people were in attendance, including youths and parishioners from Immaculate Conception Parish, Kpando, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Kpando Agbenoxoe, St. Raphael Quasi Parish, Kpando Dzoanti and Margaret Marquart Catholic Chaplaincy, making the gathering a strong witness of faith, unity, and youthful devotion.
