*A Family Reborn: The Church of Pentecost, Konongo Central Assembly.Testimony of God's Love, Redemption, and Restoration*
During the Christmas convention on December 26, 2024, the church's Evangelism Team embarked on a mission to spread the Gospel. They visited a family of four (a single father and three children) and preached the Gospel to them, marking the beginning of a transformative journey for the family.
Later, Deaconess Gladys Bawa, a member of the team, that visited the family played a pivotal motherly role as led by the spirit. The Lord laid it on her heart to provide for the family's feeding needs, and she obediently responded by providing assistance to the family. This act of kindness was just the beginning of the church's involvement in the family's transformative life. The Children accepted Christ and were brought to the Children Ministry of the Church (Sunday School)
The attention of the Presiding Elder, Elder George Afedi was drawn to the family's situation. Moved by compassion, he instructed the church to provide additional financial assistance to the family's feeding. The church generously responded by providing food items for the family.
As the church continued to show God's love and support, the children who had dropped out from school for more than two years were elated and decided to attend School.
This situation was very sad and alarming.
Before enrolling the children in school, the church leadership invited the father to the church to inform him of their decision and obtain his consent. During his visit, he was introduced to the Gospel and he accepted Christ.
As he surrendered his life to Christ, he also experienced a remarkable deliverance from his addiction to alcohol and other hard drugs. Has was then baptised in water by the Konongo District Pastor (Peter Ansah)
With the father's consent, the children were enrolled in Konongo M/A Mines Model Basic 'B'. The church leadership continues to provide support, and ensuring that the family's needs are met. As a result, the family's life began to transform in remarkable ways.
The children are now adapted in their new educational environment, and the entire family now gives glory to God.
In a remarkable turn of events, Deaconess Gladys Bawa, who has been very instrumental in their journey to Christ received her own miracle. After suffering from severe waist pain for 24 years, has experienced instant healing, attributing it to her obedience to the Holy Spirit's leading.
This story stands as a testament to the transformative power of God's love and the importance of obeying His command.
May His Name be praised now and forever more.
