📖EXHORTATION
Mark 1: 35 “And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed”.
Mark 1: 38 “And he said to them, "Let us go on to the next towns, that I may preach there also, for that is why I came out."

Jesus for the fact that He came back from the wilderness full of the Holy Spirit and power so much that His name went far and near (Lk. 4:1,14) did not stop praying and seeking the face of the God in order to continue carrying the presence of the Holy Spirit. He maintained the habit of “rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.” He maintained the standard of keeping a cordial relationship with “Our/His Father who at in heaven” with His early morning devotional life before He starts the day’s activities. He kept in touch with the Father to fulfill His mission on earth. What standard has God for you and how are you working at it? Every revived spirited Christian keeps the standard of God by the help of the Holy Spirit to perform the Father’s will. KEEP THE STANDARD EVEN AFTER THIS LENT PERIOD.

📖EXHORTATION
Luke 4: 1 “And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness”
Luke 4: 14 “And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a report about him went out through all the surrounding country”

Jesus Christ went out into the wilderness full of the Holy Spirit, was tempted daily by the devil (Mk. 1:13) and yet He returned from the wilderness still full of the Holy Spirit and in addition “in the power of the Spirit”. He kept the standard, as matter of fact He came back even improved that is “in the power of the spirit” so vibrant and active to the point that “report about him went out through all the surrounding country”. We have a standard to live by, the heavenly standard thus the prayer ‘Our Father who at in heaven”. We are the children of our heavenly Father that is the source of our standard.

📖EXHORTATION
Rev 1: 8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."

You are the son/daughter of your Father; you must finish what you begin and finish well and finish well. Whatever the LORD begins He brings to a perfect conclusion and it is high time you know that you are cheep of the old rock. Even though you cannot be someone "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty" you have to know that you bear a great deal of God’s qualities in you for He made you in His own image and likeness and also breathed into you His breath of life (Gen. 1:26-27; 2:7).

Overcome the habit of starting and abandoning one vision or the other. In order to avoid this it is very imperative that you always seek the face of God you embark on any mission or project. A revived spirited person maintains the standard of God. Keep the standard!

📖EXHORTATION
Rev 2: 5 “Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent”.

“Remember therefore from where you have fallen” is the watch word of the LORD to us all. Every relationship, institution or community has a standard with which they work. The LORD also has a standard for us when we come into Christ. It happens that when we get settled into the Christian life we sometimes begin to forget ourselves in the comfort of the grace and then we start to take things for granted which leads to our fall. Thus the LORD’s word of caution “Remember”, meaning we have forgotten who we are and where we are. It is in remembering that we will be able to tell the kind of changes taking place around us, whether for good or for bad.

With the need to get back to the set standard and equally maintain it there is the call for a change of mindset “repent, and do the works you did at first” says the good LORD. Beloved it worth noting that the LORD is not ready compromise on His standard at all at all hence the strict warning “If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.” Precious one in the Christ Jesus, the LORD has a standard for you work at it and maintain it when you attain it.

*O my soul, forget not the standard of the LORD, always work at it.
*O LORD! I implore your mercy, take not your lampstand from me.

📖EXHORTATION
Rev. 2: 3 “I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name's sake, and you have not grown weary”.

Clap for yourself if the LORD God can say this about you, otherwise bow your head in shame. The LORD says “I know” meaning He is aware of the day to day running of your life. There is nothing about you that is hidden from Him. Then He continues to say “you are enduring patiently and bearing up”. For all the troubles of this life coming at you, sometimes not for any other reason but just for the fact that you are a Christian and yet you refuse to give up on Jesus or bring His name into disrepute, He is drawing your attention to the fact that He appreciates your effort.

You know, the most beautiful this is that He recommends you for “enduring patiently” and not begrudgingly. Further, you are not doing it to pride yourself or prove a point to anyone but “for my name’s sake” the LORD says, this is His joy over you. Beloved I can tell you for sure that you are on the path of conquering, therefore hold on and be strong for the LORD has noted that “you have not grown weary”. Keep the LORD’s testimony about you alive, you must Conquer. But dear one if you find yourself contrary to or fallen short of the LORD’s TESTIMONIAL that He is writing about others then better wake up now before it’s too late.

Once upon a time, a race was organized in the animals’ kingdom for all animals. At the registration point the chameleon looked at the caliber of animals like rabbit, heir, deer, cheetah, etc whowere in to right their names he advised himself and stepped aside. Nonetheless tortoise who was also there decided go on with his registration which infuriated the rest of the fast running animals and they decided to back out. Rabbit on the other hand kept his grounds to go for the race tortoise. On the said date for the race Rabbit was in good shape to win against Tortoise.

When the race began Rabbit took off with the speed of a rocket engine, so much was the gap between them that Rabbit decided to pulse and take a rest under a tree only to fall into a deep sleep from the enjoyment of the cool breeze. Tortoise on his part took off majestically with the determination till he passed Rabbit by. The he woke up from the sleep he looked back and forth and saw no sign of the Tortoise, so he moved at a relaxed pace until some few distance to the finishing arena when he started hearing some unusual cheers only for him to double up to find out what was happening. Lo and behold, it was Tortoise at the finishing line. All effort to move at a supper sonic speed and cross the finishing line before Tortoise was useless.

*Help me O LORD with sharp retentive memory for your words and will, in Jesus name.

📖EXHORTATION
Matt 16: 26-27

“What shall a man give in return for his soul?” Assuming you have been kidnaped and about to be sold out and used for some kind of ritual sacrifice, how much will you or can you pay to
ransom your life should you get the chance to do so? Or would you just throw your hand in the air and say “all die bi die”? Certainly not, am sure you will bargain with them till the very last penny in your bank account or in a savings somewhere, if only that is what it will take save yourself. The reason being that your life is of much value than your money, you made the money not the other way round.

As long as you are alive you can still make it. Whether young or old, rich or poor we all would take our chances to stay alive no matter how goring life may be to you. So you see, we all know we be dying one day yet we still fight to protect the short period we have on this earth. Thus the question that comes is how much more shouldn’t we spend or invest into saving our eternal life in the bosom of the LORD, which only exist after this life is over. Beloved, that is how you conquer! Mind you, if you cannot give this world in return for your soul you forfeit it for eternal damnation, “For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done.”

🙏 PRAYER POINTS:
*In Jesus name my soul arise and march on for this world is not your home, you just passing through into eternal glory with the LORD.
*Reveal to me O LORD the status of my performance and teach me how to perform even better.

📖EXHORTATION
Matt 16: 25 “For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it”.

It is not enough to tell people how brave and wise you are but rather let acts of bravery and wisdom speak for you. It is very pragmatic in the co-operate world that wisdom and bravery are amongst the very few values a person needs to be successful in life. But it is very obvious the opposite is the case in Christianity. For Jesus to say “whoever would save his life will lose it,” it doesn’t add up in the natural sense, because one of the ways we exhibit our wisdom/smartness and bravery is by keeping alive and safe in the face threat or danger.

For instance Peter couldn’t show his bravery but at least his ‘wisdom’/’smartness’ to stay ‘safe’ by denying Jesus (Lk. 22:55-62) when he sensed danger. Yet it did not end well for him. However Jesus would have us lose our life to find it “but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”

🙏 PRAYER POINTS:
*Dear Holy Spirit help me to learn from the mistake of Peter and improve upon myself.
*Jesus teach me to understand what it means to lose my life for your sake.

📖EXHORTATION
Matt. 16: 24 “Then Jesus told his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”

"If anyone would come after me” Jesus said to His disciples. As matter of fact Jesus is simply saying that you must be willing to follow Him, it should not be under duress. More so, even as you decide to follow Him you should be ready to lose yourself, which is your old self in order to take up a new formidable nature from Him during the process of your grooming/discipleship under Him, “let him deny himself”. We all have our various challenges to face based on the kind of destiny or mission we have on earth.

Thus the follower should terminate the mentality or notion that ones in Christ challenges or problems should not come, instead be ready to trust Him and by His leading face and overcome them, “take up his cross and follow me.” Revival gives you the ability to sustain your daily cordial relationship with Christ Jesus for the overcoming divine power to defeat temptations, sin and walk in the path of righteousness for His name sake (Ps. 23:3).

*Jesus, I want to follow you all life so teach me how to deny myself.
*In Jesus name I have received the divine ability to overcome every challenge in my life.
