MORNING PRAYER:

Our loving God,

we give You unending thanks, for You have brought us once again to the end of another week. We are grateful, You have kept us and blessed us from sunrise to sunset. Continue to bless us during this sabbath and continue to guide our steps each day of our lives.

Lord Give us everything we need to accomplish your will for our lives. Provide for our finances, opportunities, ideas, directions, relationships, and wisdom. Enable us to be a conduit of your blessing so that we may be able to help those in wars and with less fortunate than us.

Let us be a beacon displaying your generosity to the world, In Jesus’ powerful Name we pray, Amen.

🇵🇪 Peru holds a special place in the Adventist story of South America. More than 440,000 Seventh-day Adventists now worship in about 2,800 churches across the country. Yet behind this strong presence is a nation of more than 34 million people and a mission that is far from finished.

More than a century ago, Adventist mission among Indigenous communities in the Peruvian Andes became a remarkable example of how the gospel could transform lives through education and compassionate service. That legacy still speaks. Let us pray that the church in Peru will continue reaching new hearts and making disciples who carry the hope of Jesus farther. “I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting” (1 Timothy 2:8, NKJV).

*DWELL TOGETHER IN UNITY*

_Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Psalm 133:1._

Unity is a mighty agency. It tells in a powerful manner that those who possess it are children of God. It has an irresistible influence upon the world, showing that man in his humanity may be a partaker of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. We are to be one with our fellow men and with Christ, and in Christ one with God. Then of us can be spoken the words, “Ye are complete in Him.”

In the plan of redemption a place is allotted to every soul. To each man is given his work. No one can be a member of Christ’s body and yet be inactive.... The work of God’s people may and will be varied, but one Spirit is the mover in it all. All the work done for the Master is to be connected with the great whole. The workers are to labor together in concert, each one controlled by divine power, putting forth undivided effort to draw those around them to Christ. All must move like parts of a well-adjusted machinery, each part dependent on the other part, yet standing distinct in action. And each one is to take the place assigned him and do the work appointed him. God calls upon the members of His church to receive the Holy Spirit, to come together in unity and brotherly sympathy, to bind their interests together in love.

Nothing so manifestly weakens a church as disunion and strife. Nothing so wars against Christ and the truth as this spirit....

He in whose heart Christ abides recognizes Christ abiding in the heart of his brother. Christ never wars against Christ. Christ never exerts an influence against Christ. Christians are to do their work, whatever it may be, in the unity of the Spirit, for the perfecting of the whole body.

MORNING PRAYER:

Our loving God,

We confess our need for you today. We need your healing and your grace. We need hope restored. We need to be reminded that you work on behalf of those you love, constantly, powerfully, completely. Forgive us for trying to fix our situations all on our own. Forgive us for forgetting how much we need you, above everyone and everything else. We come to you and bring you the places we are hurting. You see where no one else is able to fully see or understand. You know the pain we've carried. The burdens. The cares. You know where we need to be set free. Thank you that you are Able to do far more than we could ever imagine. Thank you that you will never waste our pain and suffering. We love you. We always need you In Jesus' name, Amen.

MORNING PRAYER:

Our loving God, Thank you for your amazing power and work in our lives, thank you for your goodness and for your blessings over us. Thank you for your great love and care. Thank you for your sacrifice so that we might have freedom and life. Forgive us for when we don't thank you enough, for who you are, for all that you do, for all that you've given. Help us to set our eyes and our hearts on you afresh. Renew our spirits, fill us with your peace and joy. We love you and we need you every day. 'S WORD BEFORE YOU SLEEP:

Does God seem far away? If so, guess who moved. The Bible says in James 4:8: "draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purity your hearts, ye double minded". The deeper you dig to know Him, the closer He is to you. Our prayer to God should be: "I want to be in your will, not in your own will". God is never far from His children but sin has made His children to be far from Him. Holiness is God's habit. Develop it. My prayer for you this night is that you will draw near to God.

WHEN LIFE TESTS YOUR FAITH

The Life of Job and Our Personal Challenges

The story of Job reminds us that not every hardship is a punishment from God. Sometimes, we go through trials simply because we live in a broken world—but God can use those trials to strengthen our faith and deepen our trust in Him.

Job lost his possessions, his children, his health, and even experienced misunderstanding from those closest to him. Yet in the middle of his pain, he continued to seek God.

“Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.”
— Job 13:15

Relating Job to Reality

There are moments in our lives when we feel like Job:

We work hard, but still experience financial struggles.
We pray, but the answer seems delayed.
We try to do what is right, yet problems still come.
Friends or people we trust may misunderstand or disappoint us.
We may lose something important and ask, “Lord, why is this happening to me?”

But Job’s story teaches us that your situation does not determine God’s faithfulness.

You may not understand what God is doing today, but that does not mean He has abandoned you.

A Christian standard is not simply living well when everything is going well. True Christian character is revealed when our faith is tested.

“Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.”
— Revelation 2:10

The church encourages us to remain faithful in prayer, worship, obedience, integrity, and Christian conduct—even during difficult seasons.

Job did not understand everything that was happening, but he remained connected to God.

The importance of trusting God during trials: —EGW

“God permits trials to come to His people, that by their constancy and obedience they themselves may be spiritually enriched.”
— The Ministry of Healing, p. 487

Trials can become opportunities for spiritual growth when we allow God to work through them.

Don’t judge God’s love by the difficulty of your situation.

Sometimes God does not immediately remove the storm. Instead, He gives us strength to stand in it.

Job lost much, but he did not lose his relationship with God. And in the end, Job experienced God’s restoration and blessing (Job 42:10–17).

Your present chapter may be painful, but it is not the whole story.

Keep praying.
Keep believing.
Keep doing what is right.
Keep your faith.

Because when you cannot understand God’s plan, you can still trust God’s character.

“Like Job, I may not understand my trials, but I choose to trust the God who understands my story.”

The first thought is often emotional, inherited or automatic. The second thought is where reflection begins. Before judging someone, reconsider. Before replying in anger, reconsider. Before assuming you understand the situation, reconsider. A second thought does not guarantee wisdom, but it creates space for it. Much unnecessary damage begins when our first reaction is allowed to become our final conclusion.
