At the weekend, Brothers and Sisters, in a deeply sorrowful mood, gathered to commiserate with Sis. Vivian Kumassah, the immediate past Auxiliary President, following the burial of her beloved husband, AGBOTADUA KUMASSAH.
It was a rich display of AnlΙ traditional culture blended beautifully with Catholic liturgy, reflecting the life he lived. AGBOTADUA KUMASSAH served as the AGBOTADUA to the Tay-Agbozo Stool and PRO to the Awoamefia, Togbui Sri III. He was also an active member of the Faith and Culture Commission of the Keta-Akatsi Diocese, contributing significantly to the many insightful articles produced by the Commission.
In recognition of his consistent leadership, selfless service, and dedication to the Lay Apostolate in Ghana, he was awarded a Certificate of Honour by the National Catholic Laity Council, Ghana, under the auspices of the Ghana Catholic Bishopsβ Conference in 2005.
Agbotadua exemplified a rare balance between traditional leadership and Christian faith, living fully in both worlds with dignity and purpose.
He was a teacher, a historian, a writer, a poet, a leader, and above all, a father.
Rest in perfect peace, AGBOTADUA KUMASSAH. ποΈ
