FOR THE WEEK!
What Do You See?
Jeremiah 1:11-12
11. Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, "Jeremiah, what do you see?" And I said, "I see a branch of an almond tree."
12. Then the LORD said to me, "You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word." (NKJV)
A very profound and important question from God to Jeremiah : "what do you see?"
We always see things in the natural with our eyes, and we also see things with our mind's eye, (what we usually call imagination).
With the natural eyes, the things we see are just what they are, but with our imagination, we often see things as we would want them to be.
For some of us, our fears, worries, anxieties and weaknesses mostly determines what our mind's eyes may see.
For other people, their imagination is based on their current circumstances and how they feel about it.
The above ways of seeing with our imagination can be very deceptive.
In the Bible verse above, God says to Jeremiah, 'you have seen well'. This remark by God suggests that it is also possible to 'not see well'.
Do you want to SEE WELL?
How do you see well?
1. Be guided by the inspired word of God.
2. Be led by the inspiration of the Holy Ghost.
3. Be motivated by the desire to know God through an intentional word study.
As we enter a new week, it is important to ask yourself the question "what do I see for this week?"
What you see becomes your VISION for the week.
That vision must bring together all areas of your Life including your spiritual life, relationships, health, finances, etc.
The clearer your vision is, the easier it is to FOCUS on it.
PRAYER:
Oh Holy Spirit, in this week help me to see well the things that God wants me to do and be, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
