PCG Riis Congregation–Ho Donates to Ho Central Prison
The Prison Ministry of Ghana, in collaboration with the Riis Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in Ho, the Bible Study and Prayer Group, and other benevolent donors, made a charitable donation to inmates of the Ho Central Prison on Sunday, 22nd March 2026.
The donation valued at GH₵15,366.00, comprised assorted items including carbolic soap, bags of rice and gari, tinned tomatoes, sugar, cooking oil, sanitary pads, used clothing, toiletries, and medical laboratory consumables.
The items were presented by the Ho District Minister and Minister-in-Charge of the Riis Congregation, Rev. Lawrence Anim-Darko, and received on behalf of the inmates by Rev. Courage Atsu, Chaplain of the Ho Central Prison. Rev. Atsu expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Prison Ministry and the Riis Congregation for their continued annual support.
In his remarks, Rev. Anim-Darko commended the prison officers for their dedication and encouraged them to continue caring diligently for the inmates. He noted that the outreach was carried out in obedience to God’s Word, as stated in Matthew 25:36.
Following the presentation, a church service was held during which twelve (12) inmates committed their lives to Christ.
