SOCIAL MEDIA AUDIT
⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
Personality is such an important factor in the job search process...so are values.
A lot of employers check out the social media of potential employees during the recruitment process.
Why?? Well, they want to get a better sense of who you are, your interests, the things that matter to you...basically they want to see 👀 if they can vibe with you.
🤔Will you be a good fit into their organisational culture?
🤔Do you values align with their values?
So as a jobseeker(it goes to everyone), if you have online presence, please make sure that is working in your favour.

😥 Imagine applying for a job at an Alcoholic Beverage Company🍸🥂, only for your social media to be filled with posts upon posts upon posts about how "Drinking alcohol will take you straight to hell👎🏽"🤪.
And yet, here you are applying to work for the gateway to hell...hmmmm🤔
What does that say about you, oh ye, hypocrite? 😅😅🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
😥You are applying for a job with a Human Rights Organisation but your page is full of subtle jabs at people regarding their ethnicity, race, colour, you name it...basically your social media is screaming the opposite of what they are looking for... 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
In cases like this, no matter how good you look on paper, you will succeed in planting a seed of doubt about your suitability for the role.
The best way to stay on the side of the social media judgement day is to:
✅Think before you post.
✅Don't troll people on social media
✅Regularly conduct social media audit.
✅Ask yourself, is my content safe for work?
✅Your personal brand matter!
Today is a good day to Google yourself...let's see what you come up with😀😀😀
