GOASO SOUTH DISTRICT CONDUCTS CHILDREN'S RETREAT
As part of efforts to fulfil the exhortation of Proverbs 22:6, the Goaso South District conducted a 1-Day retreat for all children in the district. In all, 258 kids between the ages of 2 and 16 years were exposed to ways to be diligent in studying the Bible, making prayer a lifestyle and the benefit of going on God's errands.
The Guest Speaker for the program was Mrs Regina Sefaa Amoah, the Children's Ministries Director for Green-View Ghana Conference. She admonished the children to be the light of the world and tell their fellows about the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
Pastors Joseph Agyemang and Daniel Brafi, President and Executive Secretary respectively, passed by to motivate the kids and their teachers and wished them well for a fruitful retreat.
The children proceeded to the Goaso new station to distribute 200 copies of Words of Hope booklets authored by Ellen G. White.
The children ended the day's program with a visit to 16 inmates at the Goaso Police Cells. The children gave each inmate a copy of the Words of Hope booklet. They also donated toileteries, water, bread and drinks to the inmates. Inspector Ophelia Manu of the Goaso Police took time to enlighten the children on the need to be disciplined and responsible in order for them not to fall foul to the laws of Ghana to warrant them to be arrested and caged at the Police cells. 6 non-Adventists attended the retreat and they were given one copy each of the Words of Hope.
