DAY TWO: GOOD FRIDAY OF THE LORD'S PASSION
(03/04/2026)

Today, we gather for the Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion, a solemn day when we reflect on the suffering, crucifixion, and death of our Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross.

As we come together in this sacred liturgy, we are invited to meditate on the depth of God’s love and the sacrifice made for our salvation. Join us as we lift up our personal intentions, families, and community in prayer. May this solemn observance draw us closer to Christ and renew in us a spirit of gratitude, repentance, and hope.

DAY ONE OF OUR EASTER TRIDUUM JOURNEY ☦️💜

Today, we gather for the Holy Thursday – Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper, where we commemorate the institution of the Holy Eucharist and the priesthood, and reflect on Christ’s call to love and serve one another.

As we come together for this sacred celebration, we are invited to enter into the mystery of the Lord’s Supper and the humility of Christ, who washed the feet of His disciples. Join us as we lift up our personal intentions, families, and community in prayer. May the Lord fill our hearts with love, humility, and a spirit of service.

The word 'chrism' comes from the Greek, 'chrisa' which means 'anoint'. 'Messiah' from the Hebrew and 'Christ' from the Greek both mean 'the anointed one'. Jesus Christ is the anointed one of God and Christians are the anointed people.

The Chrism Mass is held during Holy Week in every diocese. Traditionally, it is held on the Tuesday of Holy Week. During this mass, the priests, deacons and representatives of the entire diocese joins the Bishop, who blesses the Holy Oils for use in the coming year.

The Chrism Mass reminds us of our oneness in Christ through Baptism and its holy anointing, made possible by the ministry of the bishop and priests. The Chrism Mass is also a key moment in which the unity of the bishop with his priests is manifested and renewed. During the liturgy, the entire church is called to renew its baptismal promises; deacons and priests also renew their vow of obedience to the bishop and their commitment to serve God's people. At the end of the Chrism Mass, the Holy Oils are brought back to parishes of the diocese for use in the coming year.
