Tano North SDA District Marks 20 Years of Service

The Tano North District of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church has marked its 20th anniversary with a grand celebration held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Roman Park in Duayaw Nkwanta. The event commemorated two decades of the district’s establishment after it was carved out of the Tano and South District under the Mid-West Ghana Conference of the SDA Church.

The anniversary celebration brought together church leaders, traditional authorities, government officials, and members of the public. Notable among the dignitaries were past pastors who have served the district, including Ps. Maxwell Ntim, Stewardship Director and former President of the Green-View Ghana Conference of the SDA Church. Also in attendance were Dr. Gideon Boako, Member of Parliament for Tano North; Hon. Pious Opoku Sampson, Municipal Chief Executive for Tano North; and Nana Okoh Agyemang Boakye, Terchirehene and Otumfuo Brempong, alongside other distinguished guests.

The event was marked by thanksgiving, reflection on the district’s growth over the years, and renewed commitment to advancing the mission of the church within the Tano North Municipality and beyond.

Dear esteemed members and friends,
Please be informed that the date for the *Tano North District 20th Anniversary Celebration* has been rescheduled from Saturday, 27th December 2025 to *Saturday, 20th December 2025.*

All other arrangements remain unchanged. The event will still be held at the *Duayaw Nkwanta Durbar Grounds,* and the purpose of the gathering to support the purchase of a Coaster Bus for the District remains the same.

*We sincerely regret any inconvenience this adjustment may cause and kindly request that you help disseminate this information to others.*

The Green-View Ghana Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Tano North District, successfully held its Annual Camp Meeting 2025 at Tanoso Nursing and Midwifery College from 26th to 31st August 2025.

Under the distinguished leadership of Pastor Derick Anokye Poku, the District, together with the entire church body, organized its official parade on 30th August 2025, following a vibrant float through the principal streets of Tanoso township. The event was marked by unity, spiritual renewal, and active community participation, further strengthening the mission and fellowship of the church.
