Have Book But Knowledge Is Lost

Imam Ahmed narrates that Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said regarding something: “That would happen when knowledge is lost.” One of the Sahabah asked, “O Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam), how could knowledge be lost when we have studied the Quran, we are teaching it to our children and our children will teach it to theirs.” Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said: “Woe to you! I thought you were one of the most learned men of Medinah. Can’t you see the Jews and Christians are not benefiting even though they have their scriptures (Torah and Injeel) right with them?” [ Ahmed ]

This hadith makes clear that if there is no application of the Quran, its recitation becomes useless. If we know what the Quran contains but don't apply it, we become like donkeys carrying books as our burdens, not benefitting from our loads. How did the Sahabah study the Quran? If we take the example of Abdullah ibn Umar (radi Allahu anhu), it took him 14 years to finish memorizing Surah Baqarah. He was so happy after he completed memorizing it that he slaughtered a camel and invited all the people to come celebrate with him. Abdullah ibn Umar (radi Allahu anhu) was a companion of Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) and the Quran was revealed in his own language. Abdullah ibn Umar (radiAllahu anhu) was also an eminent scholar. Then how is it that he took 14 years to memorize what is done nowadays by Muslims in a matter of months? This is because the way that the Sahabah would study the Quran is that they would take ten ayaat at a time only. They would study these ten ayaat, study the eemaan, the ilm, the halal and the haram in these ayaat. They would memorize the ayaat and apply its rulings to their lives. They would not move onto the next ten ayaat until they had brought their lives into compliance with the first ten. The Quran thus became alive and second nature to them, its knowledge was not wasted and lost.

COMMON MISTAKES IN PRAYERS.
Dear All,
Forward it to many Muslims, so that we can
learn and correct our
mistakes Allah willing.
Common Errors in Prayer That MUST Be
Avoided:-
1. Reciting Surat al-Fatiha without pausing
after each verse.
The Prophet (SAW) used to pause after each
verse of this surah. (Abu
Dawood)
2. Sticking the arms to the sides of the body, in
rukoo' or sujood, and sticking the belly to the
thighs in sujood.
The Messenger of Alla h (SAW) said: "Let not one
of you support himself on his forearms (in
sujood ) like the dog. Let him rest on his palms
and keep his elbows away from his body." (Sahih
Muslim). The Messenger of Allah (SAW) used to
keep his arms away from his body during rukoo'
and sujood that the whiteness of his armpits
could be seen (Sahih Muslim).
3. Gazing upward during prayer. This may cause
loss of concentration. We are commanded to
lower our gaze, and look at the point at which
the head rests during sujood.
The Prophet (SAW) warned: "Let those who raise
their gaze up during prayer stop doing so, or else
their sights would not return to them. [ i.e. Lose
their
eyesight]. " ( Muslim)
4. Resting only the tip of the head on the floor
during sujood.
The Prophet (SAW) said: "I am commanded to
prostrate on seven bones the forehead and the
nose, the two hands
[palms], the two knees, and the two feet." (Sahih
Muslim)
Applying the above command necessitates resting
the forehead and the nose on the ground during
sujood.
5. Hasty performance of prayer which does not
allow repose and calmness in rukoo' or sujood.
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) saw a man who
did not complete his rukoo' [bowing], and made a
very short sujood [prostration] ; he (SAW) said:
"If this man dies while praying in this manner, he
would die upholding a religion other than the
religion of
Muhammad."
Abu Hurairah (RA) said: "My beloved friend,
Muhammad (SAW) forbade me to perform
postures of prayer copying the picking of a
rooster; (signifying fast performance of prayer),
moving eyes around like a fox and the sitting like
monkeys ( i.e. to sit on
thighs)." (Imam Ahmad & at-Tayalisi)
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "The worst
thief is the one who steals from his own prayer."?
People asked,
'Messenger of Allah! How could one steal his own
prayer?' He (SAW)
said: "By not completing its rukoo' and
sujood." (At- Tabarani & al-Hakim).
To complete rukoo' is to stay in that posture long
enough to recite 'Subhana rabbiyal Adtheem'
three times,
SLOWLY, and' Subhana rabbiyal-A'ala' three
times, SLOWLY, in sujood.
He (SAW) also announced: "He who does not
complete his rukoo' and sujood, his prayer is
void." (Abu Dawood & others)
6. Counting tasbeeh with the left hand
The Prophet (SAW) used to count tasbeeh on
the fingers of his right hand after salah.
Ibn Qudamah (RA) said:
"The Messenger of Allah (SAW) used his right
hand for tasbeeh." ( Abu
Dawud)
The above hadeeth indicates clearly that the
Prophet (SAW) used only one hand for counting
tasbeeh.
No Muslim with sound mind would imagine that
the Prophet (SAW) used his left hand for counting
tasbeeh. Aa'ishah (RA) said that
the Prophet (SAW) used his left hand only for
Istinjaa', or cleaning himself after responding to
the call of nature.? He never used it for tasbeeh.
Yasirah (RA) reported:?The Prophet
(SAW) commanded women to count tasbeeh on
their fingers. He Messenger of Allah (SAW)
said:?"They (the fingers) will be made to speak,
and will be questioned (on the Day of
Resurrection.)" (At-Tirmithi)
The above hadeeth indicates that it is preferable
to count tasbeeh on the fingers of the right hand
than to do so on masbahah (rosary) .
7. Crossing in front of a praying person.
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) warned:?
"Were the one who crosses in front of a praying
person to know the consequences of doing so, he
would have waited for *forty better than to cross
in front of
him." (Sahih Bukhari
and Muslim).
*The forty in the tradition may be hours, days,
months or even years. Allah knows best.

08/09/2017

🤝 *HELP ROHINGYA: FORGOTTEN, PERSECUTED MUSLIMS 1 of 2*
💣They have often been called the most persecuted, oppressed minority in the world.The 1.1 million Rohingya Muslims squeezed into the north-west state of Rakhine, in mainly Buddhist Burma, bordering majority Muslim Bangladesh, are stateless and unwanted. Neither country will give them citizenship even though their families’ *roots in modern-day Rakhine, once called Arakan, can be traced back to the Eighth Century. Since World War Two they have been treated increasingly by Burmese authorities as illegal, interloping Bengalis, facing apartheid-like conditions that deny them free movement or state education while government forces intermittently drive out and slaughter them.*Over the past years, military operations against Rohingya villages have been so intense and cruel that the minority’s defenders have warned of an unfolding genocide. *The United Nations has reported these state sponsored military committing religious, ethnic cleansing & genocide*. The inhumane treatment of the Rohingyas has tarnished the image of Myanmar’s civilian leader and Nobel peace prize laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, once a famously unflinching defender of human rights, justice, fairness, freedom & darling of the West. She now faces international fury, particularly from Muslim nations, for failing to stand up to armed forces chief General Min Aung Hlaing, whose soldiers are accused of r**e, murder, arson, and of ripping Rohingya babies from their mothers’ arms and throwing them into rivers and fire.
💎 *Allaah says: “and you shall certainly hear much that will grieve you from those who received the Scripture before you (Jews & Christians) and from those who ascribe partners to Allaah; but if you persevere patiently, and become Al-Muttaqoon (the pious) then verily, that will be a determining factor in all affairs”[3:186]*.Our attitude must be clear; we must explain to the kuffaar the ruling of Islamic sharee’ah concerning harming and killing others. We should tell them that Islam forbids harming innocent people in any way, whether that involves harming their bodies, their wealth or their honour. The Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhiwasallam) said: *“There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm.”* It is not permissible to kill a kaafir who is not hostile or who has a legitimate peace treaty with the Muslims; rather treating a non-hostile kaafir with kindness is part of the Islamic religion, especially if that is done to call him to Islam and soften his heart (towards Islam). Allaah says:
*“Allaah does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion nor drove you out of your homes. Verily, Allaah loves those who deal with equity” [60:8]*
⚔At times of war against the kuffaar, it is not permissible for a Muslim to deliberately kill a kaafir child or woman who is not bearing arms against the Muslims or helping in the fight. It was narrated that the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhiwasallam) said to the Muslim army: *“Go out in the name of Allaah and by the help of Allaah, following the way of the Messenger of Allaah. Do not kill any old man, infant, child or woman… spread goodness and do good, for Allaah loves those who do good.” (Abu Dawood)*This is supported by the advice which Abu Bakr al-Siddeeq (may Allaah be pleased with him) gave to the commander of his army: *“I advise you of ten things: do not kill a woman, or a child, or any old person, or cut down any fruit trees…” (al-Muwatta’, 982, Kitaab al-Jihaad)*.
🗡The kaafirs whom the Muslims fight and inflict harm and loss upon are the kaafirs who fight the Muslims and drive them out of their homes, or help to drive them out of their homes and punish and mistreat them, and who stand in the way of calling people to Islam and prevent people from following the path of Allaah, and prevent the spread of Islam. Allaah says: *“It is only as regards those who fought against you on account of religion, and have driven you out of your homes, and helped to drive you out, that Allaah forbids you to befriend them. And whosoever will befriend them, then such are the Zaalimoon (wrongdoers those who disobey Allaah).”[60:9]*
💣Such people are to be fought against when [the Muslims] have the power to do so, and when fighting them and declaring jihad against them is more likely to serve a purpose. But when you can achieve your purpose with gentleness and kindness, it is not right to resort to violence and force. Muslims should only use force when they are compelled to, and as a last resort. They should not initiate fighting, unless there is some cause on the part of the kaafirs, such as their fighting the Muslims, or helping other enemies of the Muslims, or preventing them from following the path of Allaah and establishing the law of Allaah in the land.
🔫We should also remind these kaafirs of the massacres which have been carried out and are still being carried out against Muslims in all parts of the world, in Bosnia, Kosova, Chechnya, Palestine and Kashmir, which are being supported by Jews, Christians and others. Is the blood of the Muslims cheaper than the blood of others? Should there be mourners for non-Muslims who are killed and not for Muslims who are killed? Moreover, when the Orthodox Christians carried out massacres in Bosnia and Kosova, in which the numbers of those killed exceeded 200,000, apart from those who were wounded or r**ed, and the economic losses that resulted, did the Muslims in the Arab and Islamic countries launch attacks against the Orthodox Christians who live in their countries, or kill any of them, or open fire against their churches and subject them to terror?! What does this tell you?
🎓It is very important for Muslims to explain these things to non-Muslims, in order to establish proof against the kuffaar. This is something that Allaah wants. Secondly, among the kuffaar there are intelligent and fair-minded people, and people who are receptive to the guidance of Islam; perhaps they will be affected by a clear explanation. Thirdly, no Muslim should permit himself to be accused without explaining his innocence. The distorted image of Muslims is one of the things that is keeping the kaafirs away from the truth and being affected by the Muslims; indeed it may make them treat the Muslims like outcasts, resulting in additional wrongdoing towards the Muslims.
🙏🏿 *“O you who have believed, shall I guide you to a transaction that will save you from a painful punishment? [It is that] you believe in Allah and His Messenger and strive in the cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives.That is best for you, if you should know. He will forgive for you your sins and admit you to gardens beneath which rivers flow and pleasant dwellings in gardens of perpetual residence. That is the great attainment. And [you will obtain] another [favor] that you love - victory from Allah and an imminent conquest; and give good tidings to the believers”. (Q61:10-13)*

A summary of what is going on in Burma:

Burma is located near China and India. There is a Muslim nation called Rohingya in Burma. They have another name, the Myanmar. The country is ruled by a Buddhist army. Muslims there represent about 10 percent of the population. Muslims there are subject to extermination and displacement.
This story is not new. This crime began a long time ago.

In 1784, a Buddhist king called "Bodawpaya" feared the spread of Islam in the region. From then on he began to persecute the Muslims. Buddhists have committed the worst crimes against them, such as burning children, killing, torture, and other forms of persecution because their only sin is that they are Muslim, nothing more!!

When the Muslims of Burma tried to escape, no Muslim country was willing to accept them. The only option they had was to die at sea or from hunger, fear, and intimidation.

Why do I tell you this painful story? Because we will be held accountable and we will be asked about our Muslim brothers tortured in a land and we did not support them!!

If someone asks me what can I do for them?! How can I help them?

I will say: It is very simple. These brothers in humanity and religion... no one knows anything about them. The media does not speak about them and their suffering.

The simplest thing you can offer them is to let others know their story and to feel their suffering. Know that all the problems you have in your life - I swear by Allah - are nothing compared to the calamitiy of the people of Burma.

They have been abandoned by the Islamic world and the human world. They resemble the people of Al-Ukhdood (Surat Al-Burooj)

Spread their cause and make the world know it and know what is happening to them. This is a stain on the forehead of all of humanity and on the Islamic world in particular. Pray for them a lot in your prayers, in private, and at all times: that Allah removes his calamity from them and brings His anger upon the tyrant killers, and doing this is the weakest level of faith!

The Messenger of Allaah (may the peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "The believers in their love, mercy and sympathy, towards one another are like one body, if one limb complains, the rest of the body joins it, staying up at night with a fever."

O oppressed people of Burma, O oppressed Muslims around the world, Allah is sufficient for us and for you, and He is the best trustee.

Oh Allah, we entrust you with our brothers everywhere.

ARE WE LIKE THEM???
During the regime of Umar bn Alkhattaab, three men came -to him- holding a young man and they said; O the leader of the believers, we need you to claim our right from this man because he has killed our father.
Umar bn Alkhattaab said -to the young man-; why did you kill him?
The man said; I am a herdsman.. One of my donkeys ate from the tree in their father's farm and he stoned it to death so I picked the same stone and stoned him and he died.
Umar bn Alkhattaab said; then I will do justice on you. The man said; spare me three days because my father just passed away and left a bag of money for me and my younger brother so if you kill me, the inheritance will be wasted and my younger brother would live miserably after me.
Then Umar bn Alkhattaab said; who will stand for you? Then the man looked at the faces of the audience and said; This man.
Then Umar bn Alkhattaab said; O Abu Dharr, would you stand for this man? Then Abu Dharr said; Yes, O leader of the believer.
Then Umar said; you don't know him and if he runs away (refuses to come back), I will punish you instead. Then Abu Dharr said; I will stand for him and the man left.
The first day passed by, same with the second day and on the third day, people started asking of him from Abu Dharr so for justice not to be passed on him instead.
When it was few minutes after salat, the man came panting and he has indeed been stressed out and stood before the leader of the believer; Umar bn Alkhattaab.
The man said; I have handled both the inheritance and my brother to his uncles so I am here for justice.
Umar was astonished and said; What brought you back when you had the chance to run??
Then man said; "I was scared of people not to say Fulfillment of Promise has gone away from human beings."
Then Umar asked Abu Dharr why he stood for him?? Then Abu Dharr said; "I was afraid of people not to say Good Deeds has gone away from humans."
The sons of the deceased were touched with these -words and said; we have pardoned him. Then Umar said; why? They said; "We are scared of people not to say; Pardon has gone away from human beings."
Brethren, Where are we in this type of indelible act. As for me, I translated and shared this with you for people not to say; Calling to Good Deeds has gone away..
Nobody possesses a pure heart than a pure person and a pure story is a beautiful thing one leaves in hearts of others.
I Beseech ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪ ﺳُﺒْﺤَﺎﻧَﻪُ ﻭَﺗَﻌَﺎﻟَﻰ (ALMIGHTY ALLAH)make Good Deeds easy for us. Aamin...

*THE SECRETS BEHIND PRAYING ON TIME*

Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salaam said:

The deeds that are most beloved by Allah (Subhanahu Wa Taala) are offering prayer at its proper time, kindness to parents. and jihad in the way of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Taala). [Kanzul Ummal, Volume 7, hadith 18897)

The transitions of prayer times actually coincide with the change in energy of the universe which may be measured and felt through changes in its colours. The following are several findings from academics in their respective fields (eg. health, psychology and others).

*THE SECRETS BEHIND PRAYING ON TIME*

1.) *FAJR*

Those who are still deep asleep during Fajr will face issues in provision and communication, for the thyroid is unable to absorb the blue energy of the universe.

The universe is in the blue spectrum which is compatible with the frequency of the thyroid gland. In Physiology, the thyroid has control over the body’s metabolic system. The color blue is also tied to provision (rizq) and communication methods. During the Fajr athan, the energy of the universe is at its optimum. This energy is then absorbed by our bodies especially when performing ruku’ and sujood.

2.) *DHUHR*

Those who frequently miss Dhuhr prayer will face digestion and mood problems.

The universe turns yellow, which influences the stomach and the entire digestive system. This colour also affects the liver and the cheerfulness of a person.

3.) *ASR*

One who keeps missing Asr prayer will have lower levels of creativity.

The universe changes colour again into orange. This is significant in the influence upon organs such as the prostate, o***y and testicle which are parts of the overall reproductive system. In fact, the reproductive organs lose positive energy. The orange in the universe also affects one’s creativity.

4.) *MAGHRIB*

At the time of Maghrib, the spectrum of the universe is at level with the frequency of the Jinns and Iblees.

The universe changes red. Often we hear the elders’ advice not to be outside of the house during this time. There is truth to the prohibition, for the jinns and iblees are energetic as they vibrate with the universe.

Those who are traveling are recommended to stop over to pray Maghrib first. This is safer for there are many disturbances occurring. There may be interference of two or more waves with similar frequencies, producing mirages that may disrupt our vision.

5.) *ISHA*

Those who often miss Isha prayers will tend to feel anxious.

The universe becomes indigo and then transforms into darkness. The time of Isha has the secret of tranquility and contentment, and its frequency is harmonious with the brain and nervous system.

This is why when the skies become dark, we are recommended to rest. By sleeping during this time, the consciousness is at a delta wave with frequency under 4Hz and the whole body system is under rest.

6.) *TAHAJJUD*

When performed routinely, there would be benefits psychologically and mentally.

After midnight, the universe begins to brighten again with whites, pinks and purples. This colour change is in alignment with the pineal gland, pituitary gland, thalamus and hypothalamus (glands and organs that significantly affect the brain).

The factors of the energy of the universe are the basis of meditative activities such as taichi, qi-gon and others. These are done to take in the energies into the body. So when praying, we inadvertently absorb the energy from the universe.

*Have you ever watched a reciter of the holy Qur’an fall into tears during a recitation?*

I used to wonder what they read that made them so emotional, and I would often want to check that verse out to see what Allah said that may have made a grown person cry publicly.

I thought I didn’t have these tears because I am not a native speaker of Arabic. But I have come to realize that it is not about how well you speak Arabic, rather, *it is about how much you make the Qur’an your companion.*

```Read it every day. Then read it some more. Read the tafsir of the Qur’an and listen to scholarly explanations of the verses if possible.``` The more your soul yearns to connect with the Qur’an , the more your soul is purified from impurities that harden the soul.
May Allah purify our hearts and intentions. Aameen
*Did You Know?*
The Life After Death Series (1/5): *Death*
*The purpose of Life* in Islam is no any other than worship and preparation for the hereafter. In the process of preparing for the hereafter in this life, Allah states in Quran 2:155 that He is going to test us in different ways and glad tidings to those who bear patience.
*Allah states in the Quran 67:2* He has created this life as a testing ground (for mankind) in order to see who is best in good deeds. Abraham, Jesus and Muhammad, (pbut) were all tested during their time on earth. They all succeeded by the will of Allah and shall be rewarded on the day of Judgement.
*Before one can receive* his rewards for obeying the commands of God in this temporary life, the person first needs to die for transition into the permanent world.
*Death in Islam is not* viewed as wicked or an enemy to mankind but as a transition which takes a person back to where he came from (Allah), _Quran 2:156_ to continue a permanent life. Allah says in Quran 3:185 Every Soul Shall Taste Death and only on the Day of Judgement shall we be compensated in full.
*Death has its pangs* but for a true and righteous believer in Allah and the messengers of Allah, the arrival of death will cause a feeling of love because he knows of the glad tidings in stock for him in the hereafter whereas the one who disbelieved in Allah and the messengers of God sees and experiences death as a wicked and a painful thing.
*Allah warns us* not to die except in a state of total submission _(Islam)_ to Him _(Quran 3:102)._ When the time of death approaches, no one can either delay or postpone it (16:61).
*There is no accidental death* in Islam. This is because when a person dies, then his time stipulated to live on earth has come to an end. No matter the age, time or condition, the death of a person is by the decree and the right time and not an accident or unplanned event.
*Everyday so and so's name* is mentioned that he is dead. But one day, your name will be mentioned that you are dead and people will weep for a short while and begin laughing. How is your preparation for that day?
🙏🏼We pray to Allah to guide us on the straight path always and grant us all a beautiful death when our time is due. Ameen.
