From the Coal City of Enugu in south east Nigeria, Maranatha began over a decade ago as part of the Divine Mandate given to Pastor David Ogbueli by God to deliver and demonstrate His goodness to His Children. Maranatha is specially dedicated to the outpouring of God's presence and glory which always leaves behind for His children a harvest of testimonies from Salvation to Divine Encounter to Healings, Deliverances, Breakthrough etc.

The Programme usually opens with a Special Miracle Service tagged Night of Glory which has seen thousands of souls saved, several lame people walk, blind see, deaf hear and all manner of miracles. Of remarkable note is a young lady brought from Owerri to one of the programmes in Enugu. She used to move on her buttocks being born lame from birth. God's miracle working power fell during the programme and she has since began to walk normally.

Pastor David Ogbueli ministers under the strong unction of the Holy Spirit will be assisted by a team of other anointed ministers (Apostle Ben Ndobe from South Africa, Pst. Mike Onyali, Pst. Nobert Onaga etc), minstrels and psalmists.

This year's edition holds this weekend (9th-11th) in Lagos, and is going to be a manifestation of God's Glory like never before. BLOOD AND ALL

I lay strewn on the ground
It touched me!, it clawed me
Scraggly little hyena!
I couldn't even make a sound
High on the mountain I see
My father with glistening fiber

He watched me, closely monitoring
as the vile pest kept torturing
I stared at my broken leg
If only I could, I wouldn't beg
Please! My pleas made me I'll
My father far away,watched me still

The tears welled up in my eyes
As their number increased like flies
Would I be just another that dies...
At the hands of these old lies?

I cast my mind back on my story
When I walked the woods in glory
Approaching me was a sign of folly
I tore limbs and left sights so gory
Now all I hear are these taunts!
All I see are these faults!!

My blood poured from the numerous cuts
It soiled my mane, forming dots...
Wait a minute... My mane!!
Hold on..what's my name?
Howbeit my pleas resound?
How did I forget my sound?

I know its still in me
It can't possibly leave me
It rumbles even now in my belly
As I look again to the mountain
I see his golden glow...my father!
Though bloodstained I see mine too..like Cedar!
Then it happened!...
Like a blast from a canon,shaking the woods
Like a storm in summer, shocking these imps
My roar had returned!

Now they knew that I remembered
They scampered like the fleas they are
I look as they shuddered
Knowing I knew who they were
I am a Lion, son of THE LION
I am untouchable, I come from Zion!

I see him on the mountain
I feel his smiling stare
I hear him reply in a terrible roar
Where are my accusers
Where are those fighters?
I am a lion how did I forget?

Limping I approached the mountain
I was glad to see the pride also mounting
I walked into the fold, Guilt? Not at all
To my rightful place blood and all!

TWO BUILDERS. "I don't bother over anything that is replaceable when damaged or lost: because it can be replaced, I only bother about those things that can't be replaced, like life." - Esther Omiunu. It is funny how people go through life, striving, toiling and worrying about things that are temporal. Things that eventually pass. Most, completely forget to consider the truly important things in life - family, relationship and their soul. A little boy is on his knees scooping sand with plastic shovels building a sand castle. All afternoon he works, packing the walls. Bottle caps will be sentries. Sticks will be bridges. A sand castle will be built. Meanwhile, a man is at his desk shuffling papers into stacks and delegating assignments. He cradles the phone on his shoulder and punches the keyboard. Numbers are juggled and contracts are signed. Much to his delight, profit is made. All his life he works. Formulating the plans. Forecasting the future. Annuities will be sentries. Capital gains will be bridges. An empire will be built. Two builders, two castles. They - the boy and the man - have much in common. They shape granules into grandeurs. They see nothing and make something. They are diligent and determined. For both the tide will rise and the end will come. Yet, this is where the similarities cease. The boy sees the end, while the man is unaware of it. As the waves near, the child jumps to his feet and begins to clap: There's no sorrow, no fear nor regret. He knew the end would come. He's not surprised. When the wave crashes into his castle, and his masterpiece is leveled, he smiles, picks up his tools, takes his father’s hand and goes home. He's prepared for it. The executive with his education and training however, is not so wise. As the inevitable waves of life approach he is terrified. He hovers over the sandy monument to protect it. He blocks the waves from the walls he has made. Salt-water soaked and shivering he snarls at the incoming tide."It’s my castle," he defies.The ocean need not respond. Both know to whom the sand belongs - the earth!Beloved, I don’t know much about sand castles. But children do, learn from them. By all means build, but build with a child’s heart. When the sun sets and the tides approach applaud. The child is aware his castle won't last forever and enjoys his feat for as long as it lasts, while preparing to go home anytime. But not so with the executive. He prepares for everything else, but going home. Are you planning to go home? What happens when 'The Father' stretches His hand to you saying, "its time to go home."? Your life is more valuable. Prepare for home! WISDOM NUGGET: Matthew 24:35-36"Heaven and earth shall pass away...But of that day and hour knoweth no man...but my Father only." – KJV. Let us pray: Father, cause me to truly decipher things that'll last from those that won't, in Jesus name.
