EASTER MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT OF THE ASSEMBLIES OF GOD, GHANA
I am happy to extend to all Pastors and congregations of the Assemblies of God, Ghana the felicitations of the General Council and the Executive Presbytery of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, on this occasion of Easter.
The time of Easter reminds us each year about the great sacrifice Christ made for us on the cross of Calvary. The Gospel message proclaimed by Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 states in a nutshell that Christ came to die for the sins of mankind, He was buried, and He rose again on the third day for our justification. The sacrifice of Christ on the cross reveals not only God’s love, righteousness and matchless grace, but also God’s priceless provision to make reconciliation with man possible.
As you celebrate Easter, remember to focus on the message of the Cross, the Personality of the Cross, and the life-transforming implications of the Cross. May the love of God that sent Christ to the Cross transform our lives and make us agents of His bountiful love and grace to the world. May our lives be touched by the true meaning of Easter! May the risen Lord, the conqueror of sin and death, help us to reconcile with one another and live together in peace! Let us use the occasion to pray earnestly for the peace and prosperity of our dear nation, Ghana. Let us also pray for God’s protection over our pastors, members, and their families.
Our message to the unsaved is that God sent His Son to die on the Cross so that they might have eternal life through Christ. This Easter presents yet another opportunity for them to give their lives to Christ. It is because of sinful man that Christ died on the Cross. Yes, He died, was buried, and he rose again on the third day for our salvation!
This is the message of Easter! Let us all use this opportunity to proclaim it, and make soul-winning our goal for the occasion! Remember also to promote Vision 3000 at all the meetings.
Happy Easter!
