THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH – GHANA, CAPE COAST DISTRICT WOMEN’S MOVEMENT LAUNCHES EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS.
Inspired by the Story of Esther, 12 Women Receive Business Boosts Under New Initiative
In a remarkable show of faith-driven empowerment, the Cape Coast District Women's Movement of The Apostolic Church – Ghana marked this year’s National Women’s Week Celebration with the launch of a powerful initiative aimed at uplifting female entrepreneurs in the church community. Themed “INVESTING IN WOMEN’S SUCCESS,” the programme was inspired by the biblical story of Esther, with an emphasis on the values of faith, favour, and influence (the book of Esther).
Rooted in Esther’s transformational journey from obscurity to influence, the programme was designed as a platform to encourage and strengthen the businesses of women in the Cape Coast District who need assistance in entrepreneurship. The initiative saw the selection of two women from each of the six Local Assemblies, totalling twelve beneficiaries, who received financial and premium business - oriented council to boost their enterprises.
The initiative was the brainchild of the District Women’s Leader, Deaconess Hannah Tetteh and the District Women’s Committee. The vision of the Committee was to create a tangible expression of support that would echo the transformative grace seen in Esther’s life, and translate it into real economic empowerment for women in the church.
The occasion was blessed with the presence of esteemed church and community leaders, including the Area Apostle, Apostle D.S.K. Osafo, the District Pastor, Snr. Min. Michael Ato Essel, and the MASLOC (Microfinance and Small Loans Centre) Regional Director, Mr. Frank Kwarteng Ofori Dadzie, who offered profound insights on financial literacy and money management. Their messages reinforced the importance of accountability and strategic planning in achieving sustainable business success.
Deaconess Agnes Quaye Kudoh delivered an inspiring message on the power of tithing and its spiritual significance in financial growth, while Elder John Ofori addressed the critical topic of customer service, urging the women to embrace excellence and integrity in serving clients.
“This initiative is not a gift — it’s a seed,” said Deaconess Tetteh. “It is our prayer that these twelve women will flourish and become sources of support and inspiration to others in the church and beyond.”
