GMCF LAUNCHES OPERATION DUTY POST
Accra, Ghana – September 11, 2025 — The Ghana Military Christian Fellowship (GMCF) joined Our Daily Bread (ODB) Ministries’ Africa Region Strategic Conference held in Accra.
The Conference which was held at the Ibis Styles Hotel in Accra from September 8–12, 2025, brought together ministry partners and stakeholders from across the continent to celebrate ministry impact and chart a stronger course for the Gospel in Africa.
Speaking at the session, Brigadier General Mike Akpatsu (Rtd), President of the Association of Military Christian Fellowship (AMCF) West Africa, expressed gratitude to ODB Ministries for its consistent supply of devotional resources that have strengthened believers in Ghana’s security services and beyond.
He noted that these devotionals are making a difference in the security services of Nigeria, Guinea-Bissau, The Gambia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and other countries in the sub-region.
General Akpatsu also launched Operation Duty Post, a new military evangelism campaign aimed at distributing Bibles and devotionals to security service at their duty posts across Ghana, and with plans to expand across West Africa.
According to him, “This is a strategic effort to ensure that troops, wherever they serve, have access to the Gospel and resources that strengthen their faith. ”He added that, “because of the nature of their duties, service personnel find it difficult to attend regular church services on Sundays”.
The initiative received strong backing from partner organisations and with a pledge to continue their support for the Operation Duty Post in the years ahead. Below are some donations that were received so far:
• Gideons International donated 3,000 Bibles and 4,000 New Testaments.
• Ghana Bible Society contributed 2,000 Bibles.
• The Great Commission Movement of Ghana supported with 500 Bibles.
The team leader of ODB Ministries, Luis Seoane, reaffirmed their commitment to expanding partnerships and pledged to increase devotional distribution to meet rising demand in West Africa.
He described the conference as a vital opportunity to deepen connections, share experiences, and pursue greater Gospel impact.
He also indicated that the conference should serve as a platform for reflection, fellowship and renewed partnership, reinforcing a mission of spiritual growth and outreach across Africa.
The delegation of Ghana Military Christian Fellowship (GMCF), were made up of representatives from The Ghana Armed Forces, Police Service, Immigration Service, Fire Service, Prison Service, The Great Commission Movement of Ghana, Gideons International, and Challenge Bookshop
