Sun. Dec. 28, 2025
Climax of 2025 Christmas Convention
Ps. Rtd. Reuben Adrakpanya

Theme: Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace and Redeemer

Key Scriptures: John 14:27 β€’ Genesis 23:6 β€’ Psalm 119:165 β€’ Romans 12:9–18

We can’t preach Christ without preaching peaceβ€”because Jesus gives peace.

1) Christ is the Source of Peace (John 14:27)
Jesus said, β€œMy peace I give to you.”
His peace is not the world’s peace. It is calm in trouble and confidence in God.
The world’s peace depends on everything going well. But Jesus’ peace stands even when life is shaking.

2) Peace is Wholeness, Not Just No Conflict
Biblical peace means completeness and wellbeingβ€”peace in the heart, mind, and relationships. It is:
β€’ a settled heart,
β€’ a healthy spirit,
β€’ a mind kept by God,
β€’ relationships guided by love.

3) Peace Must Be Lived (Romans 12:9–18)
Peace is demonstrated: love sincerely, avoid revenge, honor people, and live peaceably as much as it depends on you.
Practical Christianity is managing and preserving peace. If our lifestyle causes confusion, division, gossip, and offense, we may be talking about Christ, but we are not reflecting Him.

4) Peace Includes Dignity (Genesis 23:6)
Abraham was honored because of how he carried himself. Respect yourself as God’s child and walk with dignity.

5) God’s Word Guards Peace (Psalm 119:165)
Loving God’s Word produces stability and great peace.

Conclusion
If we preach Christ, we must preach peaceβ€”because He is the Prince of Peace.
Let His peace rule your heart, shape your behavior, and show in your dignity.

Amen!!

Answer Your Calling

Scriptural References:
- Genesis 12:1 – God's call to Abraham to leave his homeland.
- Revelation 3:20 – Jesus standing at the door, awaiting us to open.

- Ephesians 4:1 – Paul’s plea to walk worthy of our calling.

Every believer has received a divine calling from the Lord. The way we respond to this call reflects our reverence and commitment to God. Abraham exemplified this by leaving his comfort zone and obeying God's instruction to journey to an unknown land. Despite the challenges, he trusted and answered the call, understanding its profound significance. This singular act changed his life forever and laid the foundation for the blessings we now enjoy.

Revelation 3:20 illustrates Christ’s persistent desire for fellowship, standing at the door of our hearts and patiently waiting for us to open and accept His call. Similarly, Paul urges us in Ephesians 4:1 to live in a manner worthy of our divine calling, embracing the Spirit of Christ.

God is calling each of us personally, and it is crucial that we respond with unwavering commitment. He is faithful and dependableβ€”trust in Him to guide and strengthen you.
Matthew 11:28-30 reminds us that Christ invites us to come to Him with our burdens; He is willing to reason with us at our level. As we draw closer to God, He reciprocates, drawing nearer to us. In His presence, we find true rest, for His yoke is gentle, and His burden light. Living without Christ leads to constant crises and unrest.

Let us commit to letting Christ lead our lives and embrace His Spirit fully, trusting in His guidance and love.

Amen!!

The Christian life is a life of being sent unleashed to tell everyone, everywhere about the saving power of Jesus Christ. Romans 10:14–15 reminds us that unless believers rise and go out, the world cannot hear the message that brings salvation. The Bible does not suggest evangelism; it commands it. From the beginning, God designed the Gospel to spread through our voices, our feet, and our willingness to obey. Elder Emmanuel Charles Crabe emphasizes that evangelism is not the work of a few but the divine responsibility of every follower of Christ. When we carry His Word, we carry hope, healing, and eternal life to a world that desperately needs it.

Jesus Himself reinforces this call in Matthew 28:19–20, commissioning us to β€œGo and make disciples of all nations.” This is not a passive assignment but an active mission. We are called to be bold, persistent, and unashamed in sharing the truth, even when the world resists or rejects us. As Matthew 10:14 shows, our task is simply to go, to speak, and to obey leaving the results to God. Elder Crabe reminds us that this generation needs courageous believers who will rise with conviction and declare the Gospel without fear. We are being sent, empowered, and mandated by Christ Himself to go out and tell the world that He still saves.
