Upper Presbytery Women's Fellowship Conference 2026.

The 2026 Delegates Conference of the Upper Presbytery Women's Fellowship has been held at the Bongo-Zokor District of the Presbytery from 24th-26th April, 2026.

The Chairperson, Rev Roger Wegurih, speaking on the theme 'celebrating our heritage: building on the foundation already laid: woman a dependable builder, urged the women to be dependable spiritually and physically (materially), like the women of old, such as Esther and Lydia. They should help others in need in order to build on the foundation that has been laid.

He further charged then to uphold the unity of the church by offering their gift, homes and lives as living sacrifices.

Upper Presbytery trains District media personnel

District media personnel in the 15 districts of the Upper Presbytery have been trained to effectively discharge their duties in the districts. The training, which centered on social media operations, camera operations, script writing for social media posts and privacy, was well attended.

Speaking during the event, the Chairperson, Rev Wegurih urged the media men to take their work seriously since it is part of their service to God in the Church.

The Director of Human Resource and Administrative Management, who was part of the facilitators, encouraged the personnel to do their work diligently to uplift the name of the PResbytery and PCG at large.

The training took place at the Peniel Congregation on Saturday, 25th April, 2026

Upper Presbytery presents certificates, bibles and cash donations to the winners of the JY and Children's service Preach-the-word competition

The winners of the 4th Preach the Word competition for the Junior Youth and Children Service have received certificates, bibles and cash donations from the Upper Presbytery. The presentation was done during the thanksgiving service of the 16th Presbytery Session.
Since its inception, the competition has grown in popularity as a means of instilling in church youth and children the habit of reading and sharing the gospel.

Bongo-Zorko District receives Ghc10,000 from Upper Presbytery

Rev. Roger A. Wegurih, the Upper Presbytery Chairperson, has given the Bongo District GHC 10,000 to help build a pavilion there. This is a component of the Presbytery's effort to provide financial contributions to help build pavilions in each district. 2 NUPSG campuses receive motorbikes for evangelism.

The NUPSG, NUBIS-Wa and UDS-Navrongo have received motor bikes from the Upper Presbytery to aid in their activities. The motorbikes which were donated by the General Assembly of the PCG were presented to the unions during the 16th Presbytery Session of the Upper Presbytery on Sunday 12th April, 2026.

Upper Presbytery holds the 16th Presbytery Session

The Upper Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana is holding its 16th Presbytery Session at the Christ Congregation, Sandema, under the theme ‘Celebrating our heritage: building on the foundation already laid (1 Corinthians 3:11).

The official opening ceremony of the session was held on Friday, 10th April, 2026. It was attended by delegates from the 15 districts, all ministers, the National Director of Finance, Former Northern Presbytery Clerk and Lay rep, Sandema Chief & elders, members of the Christian Council in Sandema and church members.

Rev. Joseph Azumah Alale elected as Upper Presbytery Clerk

The Rev Joseph Azumah Alale has been elected as the next clerk for the Upper Presbytery. The election took place during the 16th Presbytery Session held in Sandema. He will take over from the Rev Anthony Ayeida Asarah in September 2026 as the 5th Clerk of the Presbytery.

16th PRESBYTERY SESSION
The 16th Presbytery Session of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Upper Presbytery will be held at the Christ Congregation in Sandema. This year's session will see the election of a new Clerk of Presbytery to take over from Rev Anthony Ayeida Asarah.
The session will be constituted via Zoom on 1st April, 2026, while the in-person sessions will be held from 10th-12th April, 2026.
