Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, 53, has been elected as the General Secretary of THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST, succeeding Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi, who served in the role for 10 years.

He secured an overwhelming endorsement of 1,256 votes, representing 99.6% of the 1,262 votes cast.

The Church was active on all the major social media platforms: Its page had 803,000 followers and 700,000 “Likes” in 2022, compared to 653,000 followers and 500,000 “Likes” in 2021.

The various posts on the page alone reached 14 million audiences against 8.3 million in 2021.

The radio unit of the Pent Media Centre also chalked up many successes. A radio frequency (Kingdom 100.1 FM) in Kumasi was acquired at US$300,000 and rebranded as Pent Radio – Kumasi.

Pent Radio is currently being set up and equipped for commissioning in 2023.

The Men’s Ministry continued to gain an appreciable increase in men’s involvement in the ministry. As of December 2022, the Ministry had a total membership of 791,733.

This figure represents all males above 20 years of age. The ministry, during the period, won a total of 10,282 souls for the Lord.

The Publications Unit also produced and printed the following magazines in 2022: A 32-page Kiddie Fire Magazine (60,000 copies), 50,000 copies of Pentecost Fire Magazine, and a quarterly Missions’ Newsletter.

The total female membership currently stands at 1,485,623, with 768,924 active members. The varied activities initiated by the ministry at various levels of the Church, such as the quarterly fasting and prayer chain, leadership retreats, marriage and family life empowerment programmes, and health and diet management, contributed to the spirituality and resourcefulness of our women.

A young lady is in tears because a man supposed to marry her called off the wedding. The man found out that she had visited her ex-boyfriend days before the wedding.

"In my presence, he called both parents and asked them to cancel any wedding preparations. When they asked why, he told them I will explain better. He left me in his house and went to a hotel," she shared.

For the period under review, the total children membership stood at 1,120,524. Forty-six thousand seven hundred forty-three children were baptised in the Holy Spirit during the period, and 101,449 were dedicated.

The Church in Ghana, with a total membership of 3,597,955, constituted 85.0% of the total worldwide membership. The remaining 15.0%, absolute terms of which is 605,122, was accounted for by our external branches.
