2025 CHRISTMAS CONVENTION BEGINS IN JOY
The Church of Pentecost, Apam District, Winneba Area, officially began its 2025 Christmas Convention on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, with a powerful evening service at the Apam Lorry Station (Lorry Park) in a truly joyful, spirit-filled atmosphere.
The service was led by Ps. Emmanuel Felix Odoom, who spoke on the convention theme:
“Do Not Be Afraid: A Saviour Is Born to You Who Is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:10–11; Luke 2:8–15).
Drawing on Luke 2:10, he reminded the congregation of the angel’s reassuring words:
“Don’t be afraid! I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.”
He emphasized that as Christians, our joy must be different—a joy rooted in Christ, not in the world’s temporary pleasures. While worldly joy fades quickly, the joy found in Christ brings lasting peace, hope, and transformation.
Ps. Odoom encouraged participants not to attend the convention merely to dance and rejoice outwardly, but to engage fully in faith, believing that God is able to save, heal, and bless every situation brought before Him. He assured the congregation that no case is beyond God’s power and that everyone who believes will experience His saving grace.
He concluded by reaffirming the message of hope and joy:
“Don’t be afraid! I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.”
Indeed, the convention has begun with great expectation, joy, and faith, as the people of God gather to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
